Funny Story, by Emily Henry; an inspiring madcap tale of resilience and strength. Daphne's stranded in beautiful Waring Bay, Michigan, wondering what happened. No friends, or family nearby, no money, and suddenly no place to live. Yes, Daphne enjoys her absolute dream job, as a children's librarian, but it hardly pays the bills. A minute ago, she was engaged to be married in a matter of weeks. This lavish location is in her fiancé's name only. Stupid, stupid, stupid! Privileged Peter, has always loved to share the funny story of how they met. Now, at his bachelor party, Peter decided that his continuing story will be with his life-long best friend, Petra. Could Daphne possibly call Petra's scruffy ex, Miles; after all, he too has just been sent for a loop? Daphne ends up with a tenuous, but affordable apartment share. Hardly room to "swing a cat," so to speak, but still she and Miles manage to avoid each other. Then one night while commiserating they form a plan.
