𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀
This was exactly the cosy, magical and wholesome fantasy that was missing from my bookshelves. It had everything ranging from eccentric mage’s who loves food, a plot of coven domination, a strong female friendship that I literally adored, a protagonist who runs a bookshop, edible descriptions of food and coffee, and a romance that was slow burn and high intensity.

I loved the way that the author explores self-discovery using the transition of 29 to 30, where lots of people feel that they should have their lives figured out. The author shows that in reality, there is no linear destiny to follow, even in fantasies where anything is possible. As I’m on the cusp of my 30s, this was very relatable to me.

I also really enjoyed the magic system. I loved the freedom and pleasant nature to it. Those who loved The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches, this is your next obsession.
