it was amazing
bookshelves: mystery-thriller, new-adult, young-adult

What an action-packed book. For some reason I put this book down just after starting it to read some others. Which is strange, because once I picked it up again it was un-put-downable. Fantastic action and suspense and great romance.

Nic's life changed the night her mother and step-sister were brutally murdered. For Nic, life has gone on, but it is a life of constant fear. When her apartment is broken into and her neighbour shot, she must go into hiding. But the last person she expects to help her is the man who helped the killers walk free. Finn has many skills: surveillance, mixed marshal arts, computer hacking, coding and being gorgeous, and he is more than happy to help solve the mystery of who organised the murder of Nic's family. He is just unprepared for the emotional shakeup that Nic brings to his life. Soon the two will have to learn to trust each other as they run for their lives.

I love Sarah Alderson's books, particularly the Lila series and her more recent release Out Of Control. Conspiracy Girl has the same mix of action, mystery, engaging plot line and, of course, epic romantic tension. It is nail-biting, edge-of-your-seat, let's-skip-dinner-to-keep-reading stuff. I loved the tension that sizzles between Nic and Finn. Nic is the perfect mix of kick-but and terrified and Finn is geeky cool, protective and gorgeous (have I mentioned that before?). Intrigue, shoot-outs, Finn, car chases, more Finn, cool computer skills, shirt-less Finn - what more could you want? Loved it.
