Fatal Exchange - Southern Crimes #2
Lisa Harris
Revell

Fatal Exchange is the second book in the Southern Crimes series. It could be read as a stand-alone, but does follow some storyline threads from the first book and so would make more sense if read chronologically. Romantic inspirational suspense, Fatal Exchange is an enjoyable and fast-moving story with lots of suspense.

The last thing Emily Hunt expected was for Mason Taylor to walk back into her life. Suspected by her cop sister to be the reason for their brother's death, Mason has kept his distance from the Hunt family. But a threat to one of Emily's students, Rafael, sees Mason and Emily thrown back together. Neither could imagine that the situation could so quickly descend into chaos when Rafael walks into Emily's classroom and takes her and her students hostage. It will be up to Mason to draw upon his friendship with Rafael and experience as working as an undercover cop to save Emily and her students. From there the action just builds, with kidnappings, chases, and a growing attraction between Emily and Mason.
