read this foodie romance in one sitting!

it's like billionaire romance but YA? very cute and i love that it exists, but it's also an othering experience reading it. good news is that even if you don't know anything about mid-autumn festival or lunar new year or any cultural context, the story provides you with all the information.

full rtc.

also still thinking about the racist uncle (toward chinese) and his indian wife and how that makes him even more of a creep (he's a minor character) and how theo tried to defend him; also the whole somers family keeps throwing money at the dylan's family to make problems go away ...

content warnings: lost of parent (Dylan's to cancer, Theo's to vehicular accident), near-drowning, manipulation, racism, alcohol abuse, alcohol rehab, underage drinking, past DUI of side character, dementia, past burglary, child neglect, parental divorce
