OKAY!!!!!!!! LISTEN UP!!!!! YOU!!!!! YEA!!!! YOU!!!!! What are your plans for March 18, 2014? Well...whatever they are, forget them...ditch them....change them....You need to be first in line to buy this newest thriller from Harlan Coben.....no, seriously...I'm not kidding! This was a fantastic read!!!! I think it might be my favourite Coben yet, and I've been a mad fan for years!
Here we have a story about Kat....a NYPD detective. After a close friend signs up the single Kat for an online dating service, she stumbles across an old flame. This one simple act, combined with the imminent death of her father's convicted killer sets Kat off to question events in her past that have always remained a mystery...to ask questions that might be best left unasked....to seek answers she might not be able to live with.....along this road of discovery she also stumbles upon a questionable missing persons case....and from there all hell breaks loose....
And that is all I am going to spill.....
This novel has lots of puzzle pieces for you to figure out. Although you are able to fit the pieces together, piece by piece, you're still unsure of what the overall picture is....you're also missing that one very important puzzle piece.....even when it's all solved, you still won't see everything until the last possible minute....that's right....you need to read this one to the end.....and just listen up....it's worth your time and your trouble.....this is a heart racing read...the further you read, the more your heart is going to race....near the end, you're certain to be fighting yourself to slow down and actually read the pages and not just race ahead to see what happens....
This is a solid 5 star read for me....It might not be the best book I read in 2014, but I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being the most suspenseful and exciting read of the year!
Have you marked your calendar yet? Don't forget! March 18, 2014.....it's going to be a very good day....

Connie, I so agree with you. I just finished the book last and thought that this was one of the best books I ever read. I am a huge Harlan Coben fan. I thought this was one of his best. I couldn't put it down.

Are you kidding . This is a poor 70s screenplay trying to be current by adding internet dating and a cross dressing detective. Who of course suffers and is killed through misadventure . Awful, tedious , predictable. And Kat Donovan , what a bore.
well, to be honest I don't watch any telly so it might be....but I enjoyed every minute of it, June...and since it's rated almost 4 stars with over 9,000 reviews, it appears many others enjoyed it as well...x
Lol .no disrespect intended Connie. Guess it just goes to prove the saying ' to each his own'
or 'you say tomato and I say tamata. ' a member of my book club really likes Corbin so was surprised by my reaction . Not to worry I've had a few books I adored given a few not so favourable rating so c'est la vie. We're fortunate to have so many choices in the end at the end of it all. Happy reading . Maybe we will agree on a book in the future !

no worries...just wanted to let you know I was not kidding you :-P Seriously, I've been in a massive book slump since spring and I think perhaps "mind candy" type books are about all that appeals to me these days....
And I'm usually the one that can't stand popular reads, so it's true...we're all different....but that's one of the things I love best about reading and readers....there's plenty to go around and even if we don't like the same book, we are all usually passionate about some...and I've noticed that books are about the only thing people can actually agree to disagree on with no hard feelings...xx

Give Lindwood Barclay books a try . Everyone a mystery with a twist that guaranteed you won't expect. I think you wil be hooked . Great mind candy :) . Off the top of my head one title is
To Close to Home . Any are good and always an unexpected twist . Now if you read one and hate it I guess we'll be even : )
