New TV show on NBC (in the US) Midnight, Texas based on the series by Charlaine Harris.

I set it up to record. I didn't care for the 1st book but it may be a good TV show.

Did anyone watch? I liked it. Can't wait for next week.

Just read that Harris is not writing any more books in that series. She has started something new.

I watched and enjoyed it . Can't wait to learn more about the characters. I don't know if I'll ever read the books. I like not knowing what's gonna happen. I was always comparing true blood to the books.

I read the first book when it came out and I cannot really remember much pertaining to the plot. I gave it 2 stars.

I was reading the Sookie books way before the show (True Blood) and was quite disappointed in the series. I felt like they changed some important plotlines.

I love love love Arielle Kebbel! So glad to see her on TV again.

I felt the same way about True blood I lost interest in the show.

I watched it until the end, which I hated!

I have high hopes for this show.

Which characters caught your eye so far. I liked Olivia(hitwoman) and Fiji?(witch).

The woman that plays Olivia is the one I like. She was on The Vampire Diaries, off and on.

I like Manfred. I am sure that he was in another Harris book series.

I FINALLY saw Gone Girl last night. I'm glad that I waited because I'd forgotten most of the plot - except the most important part!

I'm wondering if the director intended for the movie to come off as almost a black comedy? Are we supposed to feel no sympathy for Nick or Amy?

The only characters I liked were Margo and Detective Boney.

Any thoughts?

New on Netflix = Virgin River based on the books by Robyn Carr. It's pretty good.

Has anyone caught Briarpatch on USA Network? I love it. Trying to figure what is going on!!

I LOVE Dark! Although it's so twisty that when a new season comes out, I have to rewatch the entire previous season. Not that it's a chore! I discover new details every time I watch it.

It's worth it! The season finales have seriously insane endings!

Has anyone been watching Virgin River on Netflix? What do you think?

I watched it and loved it. That being said I was looking and I think I only saw the first season. Going to go and look at the second one

i only saw half the first season and it just fell off my to binge list

I have a difficult time with it because it's not like the books. I love those books and want it brought to life.

Last night we watched that new Angelina Jolie movie - THose Who Wish Me Dead on HBOMax. I liked it. It was done by the same man that does the TV show Yellowstone.

We watched Greenland recently - also on HBOMax. It stars Gerard Butler and Morena Baccarin. I liked it too.

I started watching Pieces of Her on Netflix the other night. So good. I knew that I had read the book - by Karin Slaughter but I could not remember the story.

Also I'm watching From on Epix Channel. Kinda scary and weird like Lost which is funny because Harold Perrineau is/was on both shows.

It was really good. Can't wait for Season 2!

If you have cable, you may be able to access it On Demand. It's been on Sunday nights at 9 on AMC.

I have never read Virgin River books so I am really enjoying the tv series. Oh wow if Luke (Scott Patterson) is in it then I got to watch it.

Never seen either show.

Sullivan's Crossing has been on the CW for a few weeks now. Watching it makes me want to read again because either I'm not remembering correctly or it's different from the book.

Does it make you upset when the adaptations are very different from the books? Virgin River (another of Robyn Carr's books turned into a TV series) is VERY different from the books.
