message 1: by Ruthie (new)

Ruthie Jones My goal for this reading challenge is to post a written review for every book I finish (a succinct and personal review because I dislike writing and reading long-winded reviews and book summaries).

message 2: by Ruthie (new)

Ruthie Jones I only have 5 more (as of December 4), and yes, I have written something about every book I read this year (often with favorite quotes). I want to let others know what I think about the books I read, and I think it's important (for other readers and the author) to provide more feedback than only a star rating. But mostly I find that writing something causes me to reflect more on what I've read, rather than closing the book and moving on to the next without a backwards glance. It promotes active reading!
