It feels like a book I’ve read before; that’s the thing with most Nigerian fiction— they tend to follow similar themes AND writing styles.

The initial chapters leading up to Nwabulu meeting Urenna felt hurried. I’m enjoying the story, but I wish the author had spent more time exploring Nwabulu's background and her life journey when both of her parents were still alive.

I love this book so much, but it breaks my heart. It’s the kind of story that stays with you, wrapped in sadness, even when you wish it wouldn’t..I’m deeply shaken and completely stunned💔💔💔

The way it captures the confraternities and the political climate of Nigeria in the nineties is thought-provoking and brilliantly done. I absolutely love it! Tambo is my favourite character—he’s so mischievous yet carefree! I also adore Brenda, Tuoyo, and Ewaen. This book is incredibly funny and engaging

I hope it gets better because I am getting bored

I’m really enjoying this book, but the Pidgin English is a bit much for me—I often have to sound out the words and remind myself what terms like “dey,” “na you,” “sabi,” and “sha” mean, just to name a few. Still, I’m not giving up because I’m loving these fine boys , and I’m determined to finish it!

Why do these women never believe Cassandra? I think I'm fascinated by Helen — complex, multifaceted, clever, and confident, not afraid to speak up and defend herself even when surrounded by enemies who blame her for their pain. Penelope’s love is unwavering. Will Odysseus return?

I’m halfway through chapter 23, and I’m wondering if the book will go into more detail about Thetis’s life. I need more of her story

The pidgin English is too much o, I dey struggle to understand some parts of the story, but still dey very interested😭😭
