The Fortnite community is in for the ultimate fight of their lives as they go up against the evil forces of Doctor Victor von Doom in the newest Ltm: The Day of Doom. The developers of Epic Games did not hold back from designing this new game mode and aimed to deliver an immersive experience of what it would be like to be on the front lines fighting against the monarch of Latveria with all the power of the cosmos. Fortunately, players are not alone in this war.

“Patience is a virtue”, they say, and for Marvel fans, it’s practically a superpower. While the cinematic universe has had its fair share of hits and misses—think the underwhelming reception of The Marvels—there remains a flicker of hope. Who could forget the grippingly twisty tales of Loki or the pure fun of Deadpool & Wolverine? But what’s adding a spring to everyone’s step and perhaps even shooting some web-fluid high into the sky? None other than the highly anticipated Fantastic Four: First Steps, slated for a 2025 release.

It seems The Fantastic Four: First Steps has taken a break from filming, with star Vanessa Kirby attending the Toronto International Film Festival to promote her new film, Ron Howard's Eden, which also stars Ana de Armas and Sydney Sweeney.
The Mission: Impossible actress - who will play Sue Storm/Invisible Woman in the Marvel Studios reboot - was asked for an update on production on the red carpet of the Eden world premiere, and while she didn't share anything particularly exciting, it sounds like things are going very well and "Marvel's First Family" are all getting on as well as one would hope.
“We love each other so much. I’ve been away from them for two days and I miss them," said Kirby. "We’re having such great time together. I’m really hopeful for the movie and Matt Shakman is amazing and Pedro [Pascal] is heavenly.

A video from the set of The Fantastic Four: First Steps has given us our first look at The Thing. Based on the video, the character looks pretty damn close to The Thing we know and love, heavy brow and all. It would also appear that there’s actually someone inside the suit. Check out the set video below!

With the release of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ the era of mutants has begun in the MCU, according to Feige’s own words. Some X-Men and mutants were already present in the MCU projects, but with the upcoming X-Men live-action reboot in the works, we can look forward to a completely new cast.
Professor X has already appeared, played by Patrick Stewart in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.’ However, we’re talking about an alternate variant, an Illuminati member who eventually meets his end at the hands of Scarlet Witch.
Stewart was never meant to be MCU’s main Charles Xavier, just like Krasinski was never meant to be MCU’s Mr. Fantastic and so fans have been putting forward actors that might take on the role in future projects. When The Mandalorian premiered on Disney+ in 2019, most viewers quickly became enamored with the Yodi-like Grogu. The title character could have become an afterthought, but the man behind the mask helped infuse Din Djarin with quiet charisma and heroic stoicism. In fact, I remember asking my brother who the actor playing Mando was. “That’s Pedro Pascal! He’s from Narcos.” I looked up the Netflix crime series and it seemed right up my alley.

At last month's San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios shared a very early teaser trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps. A predictably low-quality bootleg soon hit social media but at D23 this past weekend, those fortunate enough to be in Anaheim also got to see it.
A near-hd version has since leaked and we've combed through this first look at Marvel Studios' take on the First Family frame by frame. While the trailer is mostly comprised of test footage filmed before cameras officially started rolling, there's still a lot it tells us about the reboot.
From the team's origin story to a glimpse inside the alternate reality they call home and even a cameo which wasn't spotted after the Comic-Con leak, we're breaking down all the biggest moments and reveals for you right here.

Even if you’re not a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), its significance in modern cinema is undeniable. This massive, interconnected project continues to thrive, despite recent box office challenges that have concerned some fans. However, with the release of Deadpool & Wolverine, things seem to be looking up, which inspired us to compile this list.
Deadpool & Wolverine is packed with Marvel cameos, prompting us to revisit the MCU’s history of cameo appearances. We’ve ranked the 10 best cameos as of this film, detailing which movie each cameo appeared in and explaining why it deserves a spot on this epic list.
10. Sam Neill, Luke Hemsworth, and Matt Damon as Odin, Thor, and Loki (respectively)
This scene was fantastic. Three talented actors came together to portray fictional versions of the Asgardians in a play designed solely to entertain Loki, who was disguised as Odin, indulging in his own satisfaction.

Whether you’re not a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), you cannot deny its importance for modern cinema. This largest single-narrative project of all time is still going strong, despite the fact that the majority of its most recent outings have not been that successful at the box office, which certainly had some fans worried. But, with Deadpool & Wolverine coming out, the situation seems to be improving, and this is what actually motivated us to write up this list.
Namely, as you will probably know, Deadpool & Wolverine is filled with numerous Marvel cameos, and in light of that fact, we have decided to revisit the history of the MCU’s cameo appearances and list the 10 best ones, ranked, of course, as of Deadpool & Wolverine. We are going to tell you in which movie the cameo happened and why we think it deserves to be on this epic list of cameos.

John Malkovich was stunned when Harvey Weinstein was finally sentenced to prison. The once-untouchable Hollywood powerhouse, a figure long linked with abuse and unchecked power, seemed almost immune to accountability. Malkovich’s reaction highlights just how improbable Weinstein’s conviction once seemed, even with the overwhelming evidence and the powerful momentum of the #MeToo movement.

The first trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps screened during San Diego Comic-Con last month, and while the footage did leak shortly after, it was a pretty terrible recording.

As a special treat for fans in attendance at D23, long-time Marvel Studios composer Michael Giacchino has unveiled his main theme for The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
Fans thought that the music that accompanied the drone show at Sa Diego Comic-Con last month might have given us a little taste of the score, but this sounds quite different.
In addition to providing the score for several MCU films, Giacchino directed the Werewolf By Night Special Presentation, and there are rumors that he's in line to helm the planned Midnight Sons movie.

Estimating the wealth of a fictional character is both interesting and very difficult to do, seeing how a lot of the estimates are based on imprecise numbers and speculation. Rarely do works of fiction present us with precise data, and even when they do, the data is only partial as it never encompasses all characters. On top of that, the data constantly changes and different sources often list different data.
In this list, we are going to bring you a list of the 10 richest characters from the MCU based on the data we have.

Not only has the anticipated film Deadpool & Wolverine become a massive opening and sending fans home with giddiness over some immensely deep cuts from the comic book film world, but Marvel Studios’ panel from Comic-Con has dropped some big upcoming news as well. The biggest reveal (which also seems to be kind of a controversial one) was Robert Downey Jr.’s return to the MCU, this time as the iconic villain Doctor Doom in the next Avengers entry, Doomsday.
World of Reel is now reporting that it was revealed in an uncovered interview between Kevin Feige and Jon Favreau that Downey Jr. had met with Feige to possibly play Doctor Doom in 2005’s Fantastic Four from 20th Century Fox. Feige was a producer on that film and as he and Favreau reflect on...

There were rumors that long-time Marvel Studios composer Michael Giacchino had been enlisted to work on the score for the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, and we now have confirmation thanks to the man himself.
Giacchino posted some footage of the San Diego Comic-Con drone show, along with the caption: "I have some Fantastic News." The video was silent, but there's speculation that some earlier clips from the display (see below) may have given us our first taste of the movie's score.
In addition to providing the score for several MCU films, Giacchino directed the Werewolf By Night Special Presentation, and there are rumors that he's in line to helm the planned Midnight Sons movie.
The Sdcc panel revealed that the reboot has been given a new title - The Fantastic Four: First Steps - and the first teaser trailer was also screened for those in attendance. A leaked version did the rounds online shorty after,...

Ryan Reynolds is paying tribute to Fox’s “weird” and “risky” Marvel universe, with gratitude to the studio where Deadpool got its start.
“This isn’t just Deadpool saying ‘Oh, Hello’ to the MCU. It’s Deadpool – and Hugh, Shawn and me – saying farewell to a place and an era that literally made us,” Reynolds wrote on Instagram. “We are forever grateful to the fun, weird, uneven and risky world of 20th Century Fox. It was our origin story and we wouldn’t trade it for anything. And thank you to Kevin Feige and Disney for allowing us to share it.’
Disney acquired then-20th Century Fox studios in 2019, home to the first two Deadpool movies starring Reynolds. It was announced at the time that Deadpool would be integrated within the MCU beginning with 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine, which is now the 6th biggest opening at the domestic B.O. with $211M.

Ryan Reynolds is bidding farewell to the “fun, weird, uneven and risky world” that was 20th Century Fox’s Marvel movies.
The studio, which was acquired by Disney in 2019, was home to the first two “Deadpool” films, starring Reynolds as the wisecracking anti-hero with whom he’s become synonymous. 20th Century Fox produced 18 Marvel adaptations over the years, including the “X-Men” installments with Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, “Fantastic Four” and “Daredevil.” The third “Deadpool” entry, titled “Deadpool & Wolverine,” is significant because it ushers the comic book characters that were previously licensed to 20th Century Fox into Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Reynolds on Sunday shared a cast photo from 2015 with some of the biggest stars from 20th Century Fox’s Marvel era, including at least one actor (Channing Tatum as Gambit) whose film never saw the light of day. Along with Reynolds and Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), James McAvoy...

This year’s Sdcc was full of surprises as Marvel Studios returned to Hall H with plenty of updates on upcoming projects. The most important ones to watch are ‘Captain America: Brave New World,’ ‘Thunderbolts,’ ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps,’ and ‘Avengers: Doomsday.’
Yes, ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is the new title replacing ‘Avengers: Kang Dynasty.’ After months of speculation about Kang’s fate in the MCU, it’s now official that the studio is shifting focus from Kang to Doctor Doom, who will be played by Robert Downey Jr.
Little is known about the movie, but we suspect it will adapt the ‘Time Runs Out’ storyline to some extent. The release date is set for May 1, 2026, with the Russo Brothers confirmed as directors.
Regarding the cast, several names have been confirmed, giving us a good idea of who might appear in the movie.
1. Victor Von Doom – Robert Downey Jr.

Undoubtedly, the biggest shock of the night from Marvel Studios' Hall H panel at Sdcc was the news that Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr. would be returning to the MCU. However, he won't be returning as Tony Stark, instead, he'll be portraying an alternate universe version of Doctor Doom.
Downey Jr.'s Doom is confirmed to appear in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, however, online rumors have already swirled that Rdj's new character will actually show up first in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
Several online scoopers are reporting that they received inside info about Downey's return but didn't feel confident enough to post the news before Marvel made the official announcement.
Collider caught up with The Fantastic Four director Matt Shakman, shortly after the Sdcc panel and asked whether he knew about Robert Downey Jr.'s return, prior to the Hall H extravaganza.
"It’s incredible exciting.

Out with the Kang, in with the Doom.
The next Avengers movie is officially titled Avengers: Doomsday. It will replace the previously announced Avengers: Kang Dynasty as the lead-in to Secret Wars.
And yes, that means that the big bad of this film will be one of Marvel Comics’ most dangerous baddies, Doctor Doom.
This isn’t a surprising change, given the controversy around Kang actor Jonathan Majors.
What is surprising is who is playing Doctor Doom in the MCU.
It’s none other than Robert Downey, Jr. himself.
The announcement was made at Hall H in San Diego Comic-Con earlier this evening… to thunderous applause.

Five years after Disney acquired 20th Century Fox, Marvel Studios Chief Kevin Feige finally introduced MCU version of The Fantastic Four on the Hall H stage Saturday night at Comic-Con.
Feige kicked the segment off by fibbing that the cast couldn’t make it because filming is set to begin next week in the U.K., but revealed “our director was willing to fly all through the night,” introducing Matt Shakman to the stage.
Shakman acknowledged that there’s no actual footage from the film, but said he’d put together a pre-vis clip to get the tone of the film across — though if that’s pre-vis it’s really polished. Because it resembled something close to a short film that might end up (we hope) on the blu-ray, made up of fictional newsreel footage clearly set in the 1960s — of course it might also just look like the 60s (more on that momentarily.

Marvel’s First Family assembled at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday evening. A concept reel for the inaugural “Fantastic Four” installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was unveiled to Hall H attendees after an introduction by director Matt Shakman, giving fans a taste of the Space Age aesthetic that will be incorporated into the superhero feature. A title was also revealed: “The Fantastic 4: First Steps.”
“We’re doing a retro-future ’60s. Syd Mead was an inspiration. The ’60s, to me, is all about optimism,” Shakman told the audience, expanding on the film’s period setting while referencing the influential designer. “I love the Fantastic Four. I love their power set. We want to be true to the comics but we want to be true to life.”

For anyone wondering if after a challenging few years, Marvel Studios could chart a path that would instantly earn back the trust of fans, the studio’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con seems to suggest the answer is a resounding yes.
In a shocking surprise (even by Marvel standards), Robert Downey Jr. was announced as returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Doctor Doom, one of the most feared and complicated characters in Marvel lore. He will be joined on this journey by The Russo Bros., the filmmakers who were behind Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019), which was the zenith of Marvel Studios’ grand universe and stands as the No. 2 grossing movie of all time.

Marvel Studios may have skipped San Diego Comic-Con 2023, which was hindered by a lack of big name talent and productions being halted (a result of last summer’s WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes), but Kevin Feige and his crew are back this year trying to sell the idea that Marvel films and TV are still top-tier entertainment. In 2022, Feige broke down the shift from the illustrious Phase 4, which included films such as “Spiderman: No Way Home” and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” as well as TV series like “Wandavision” and “Moon Knight,” into the underwhelming Phase 5. Many of the projects announced for Marvel’s latest era have struggled to come to fruition.

This article is nothing but non-stop Deadpool & Wolverine spoilers!
A key appeal to Marvel movies remains their cameos, as anyone who recognizes Stan Lee’s million-dollar smile will tell you. But Deadpool & Wolverine takes it to another level, as one would expect for Wade Wilson’s first entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe proper. Deadpool doesn’t just drag Wolverine into the fray with him for this one. No, he is bringing the whole Fox X-Men universe along for the ride, or at least as many of the B-listers and off-shoots from thereabouts that only the most hardcore of nerds or terminally online will remember.
Deadpool & Wolverine has room for MCU mainstays too. Wunmi Mosaku reprises her role as Tva agent B-15 from Loki; the Avengers show up on monitors (and in clips from older movies); and most of Deadpool’s supporting cast has a at least few scenes,...

Marvel’s “The Fantastic Four” cast has officially assembled in person as the comic book tentpole gets underway. Back in April, we got confirmation that The Fantastic Four will introduce a female take on Marvel Comics' classic space-faring hero, the Silver Surfer - but not the version of the character fans are most familiar with.
Emmy Award-winner Julia Garner will play the movie's Surfer, but not a gender-switched take on Norrin Radd. Garner will actually take on the role of Shalla-Bal.
In the original Marvel Comics continuity, Shalla-Bal was the Empress of the planet Zenn-La, and was the first love of Norrin Radd. When Galactus came to devour their planet, Radd volunteered to become his herald in exchange for sparing Zenn-La. Later, when Franklin Richards took over as the new Galactus, he imbued Shalla with the same cosmic powers and allowed her to serve as a twin herald alongside Radd.
