About

We're building the future of embedded finance. SnapTrade is an API to connect retail brokerage accounts to any fintech app. We enable API access to real-time account data, historical transactions, and trading. This makes it possible to build new investing experiences with existing brokerage accounts, so users don't need to transfer and it's easier to get started.

  • An epidemiological approach to model the viral propagation of memes

    Applied Mathematical Modelling

An epidemiological approach is adopted to develop a model of viral meme propagation. The successful implementation in the modelling of meme spread as reflected in Internet search data shows that memes may be treated as infectious entities when modelling their propagation over time and across societies.

  • Graphical processing units as a tool for solving complex engineering problems

Proceedings of the 2011 CCToMM Symposium on Mechanisms, Machines, and Mechatronics (CCToMM 2011)

GPU programming is introduced with specific attention to its use in engineering computation. GPU programming is put in context against traditional sequential programming and parallel programming strategies. One practical example of GPU programming in engineering is provided, with a discussion of the achieved speedups and suggestions for how to increase speedup further. A general approach for parallelising engineering problems is presented, and guidelines for maximising performance are given.

  • Taking measurements in and around a cluttered static environment with a kinematically redundant serial manipulator

Proceedings of the 13th World Congress in Mechanism and Machine Science (IFToMM 2011)

Petroleum Applications of Wireless Systems (PAWS) has constructed an experimental rig at Cape Breton University, to simulate the cluttered environment of an oil rig and measure how its characteristics affect wireless signal transmission. The rig consists of an industrial process mockup and a custom-built serial manipulator carrying a probe throughout the environment. The manipulator is to move the probe throughout its 7 m3 workspace without colliding with the environment or the industrial…

The manipulator is to move the probe throughout its 7 m3 workspace without colliding with the environment or the industrial mockup. The manipulator consists of 4 degrees of freedom (DOF) and is to perform a task which is only three DOF. As a result, the manipulator has one degree of kinematic redundancy. This papers reports on the implementation of path planning algorithms to perform the testing throughout the test environments without collisions while ensuring maximum point coverage within the workspace is achieved.

  • Methods and systems for matching expressions

    Filed US US 13/593,291

Methods and systems are provided for matching expressions to data items. One exemplary method involves identifying a subset of expressions that match data items collectively and then identifying individual data items that match expressions of the subset. In one embodiment, the data items are partitioned into data item subsets, and further subsets of expressions collectively matching the data item subsets are identified. Data items of a respective data item subset are then individually matched…
