Discount Tire Company is the world's largest independent tire and wheel retailer.^{[citation needed]} The company was founded in 1960 when Bruce T. Halle rented a building on Stadium Boulevard in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Today, it's corporate headquarters are located in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The company is known as America's Tire in California, Oregon and Washington.
