Excel lookups

[edit]

Hi, have you seen my answer to your question about mutliple lookups in Excel on the RefDesk? Just wondered if it was any help. AndrewWTaylor (talk) 12:02, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Replied on Refdesk and here. Matt Deres (talk) 12:33, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fenland Survey

[edit]

Matt, hello. There would be absolutely no problem with recreating Fenland Survey. The article was there was just someone having a laugh. There's not anything useful in it, so I'd just as soon leave it deleted. Let me know if there's anything else I can do! Cheers, Angus McLellan (Talk) 14:48, 17 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Eye Candy graphics

[edit]

Hey. I saw your question in helpdesk. Try Call of duty World at War for the 360. I am most impressed with the graphics for that game it was the only game that I ever played that was worth the money I paid for. Might not fit your needs but I figured I would mention it. Proposed deletion of One A Day

[edit]

The article One A Day has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The company is notable, but these are not; can be discussed on the parent article.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Lәo(βǃʘʘɱ) 03:48, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for making WP:NODRAMA a success!

Though the campaign is technically over, please continue to update the log page at WP:NODRAMA/L with any articles which you worked during the campaign, and also to note any that receive commendation, such as DYK, GA or FA status. You may find the following links helpful in nominating your work:

RE: Vandal report for 69.248.3.235

[edit]

Sorry, do you mean the IP I blocked for a week [1]? — Kralizec! (talk) 00:41, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

While joining you in reverting this IP's edits (you did the majority of them; I only had to do a half-dozen), I started to see a pattern that I had initially missed while processing the AIV report. Sorry I did not catch it sooner, and I apologize for any frustration you experienced after my first declined block. Either way, you did a good job finding, reporting, and reverting the vandal. Kudos to you, sir! Please let me know if you have any other questions or issues. Thanks, — Kralizec! (talk) 02:39, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of PROD from Fall streaks

[edit]

Hello Matt Deres, this is an automated message from SDPatrolBot to inform you the PROD template you added to Fall streaks has been removed. It was removed by Fences and windows with the following edit summary '(Deprod, what's the point of deleting this redirect, it's perfectly valid)'. Please consider discussing your concerns with Fences and windows before pursuing deletion further yourself. If you still think the article should be deleted after communicating with the 'dePRODer,' you may want to send the article to AfD for community discussion. Thank you, SDPatrolBot (talk) 01:06, 2 September 2009 (UTC) (Learn how to opt out of these messages)[reply]

Rationales

[edit]

There's a lot of discussion of what "the participants in the prior AFD discussion" meant. As one of the actual participants in that first AFD discussion, perhaps you would like to visit the second AFD discussion to make it clear what your view was, and is now. I'll make you a deal:

Sorry...shouldn't have snapped at you. Feel free to do whatever you'd like on the article. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 17:57, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I felt awful after reviewing the situation and I thank you for your graciousness in the face of my lack of it. I've restored it for you and tagged it as under construction. PMDrive1061 (talk) 18:06, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I came across the above when leaving a message at User talk:Winhunter!

I have added a title to the 2nd external link, removed the notability tag (not needed on a user page) and added the UserWorkInProgress tag.

A useful place for information I found is Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for Julius Zimmerman's Art.

It has a lot of quoted text from Julius, but I'm not sure about the copyright on this - you can contact Dave at fiawol at aol dot com and Julius himself at juliuszimmerman at earthlink dot net. If the text is directly quoted by Zimmerman himself for that site, then he can directly give permission for it to be copied I would think. If it is from a book, then if you can find out which book the information is quoted in, this can be cited as a source (with rewording of the information to comply with copyright laws).

I think the main problem for this article will be the lack of reliable sources of information! Google Scholar, Google Books and Google News all returned nothing about this Julius Zimmerman, and although a Google search on "julius zimmerman" -"you're a brave man" -"alec julius zimmerman" -torrents -download -bittorrent returned 12,500 hits, the ones I saw were for looking at/buying his art - I couldn't find any bibliographical details in the first couple of hundred hits!

Good luck! -- PhantomSteve (Contact Me, My Contribs) 16:03, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
