Vxloncia is notorious for it's brutality and decadence - Ramsey will be competing in a Gladiator competition. If he wins, he will be invited to the compound of the man thought to hold Lady DeAlbero as a slave. Loss of the game also means loss of his life, but Ram and Steffania quickly discover that danger is just as grate outside the arena.
There are several darker elements at work in this book: Sexual Slavery & Mind Control are at top of the list of egregious acts committed by Vecon Narr, and we're not spared any of the violent graphic details... So consider that carefully before you decide to read this book. If you can handle a little violence with your graphic sex, you'll be richly rewarded.
This book was fucking awesome!
We had a brand new planet with a new social structure and physical environment, several new characters (which I hope to meet again), and I loved all of the imaginative technological advancements, especially a particularly kinky bit of nanotechnology...

Welcome to Verdantia, home of super hot, uber alpha males and the women who love them. The author has created an awesome world for us to visit. We actually leave Verdantia in this story to travel to Vxloncia- a very barbaric world where women are nothing but slaves and chattel to men. SciFi romance with some BDSM to spice it up. I have wanted to learn more about Ramsey DeKiernan since meeting him in the last book. (Bad boys are so intriguing). As Ram and Steffania try to complete an impossible mission, they also fight their growing attraction to each other. Steffania is a tough chick. I loved watching as she surrendered to Ramsey but still remained true to her warrior self. Truly a story where they are stronger united than they are by themselves. This story has everything I look for in a SciFi romance: great characters, well written story, great sex scenes, bad aliens, alien cultures and alien technology. There are also wonderful supporting characters like Pansy and Tok. I loved the interactions between our MC's. The bondage scenes were panty melting hot. A fan or maybe a vibrator is recommended ;) The book has rope bondage, domination, some S&M, exhibitionism, voyeurism, even one surprising MM scene. If you like like your SciFi romance really smoking and with a great story too- this book is a winner. To the author- Thank you Madam, may I have another please?

Ms. Knight is a must read author. She's written three stories in a row which I've thoroughly enjoyed. The reason why she is so appealing is her viciousness. The way she eviscerates the evil characters is satisfyingly blood thirsty. She still doesn't go graphic, but she does set up the scene so well and then smugly interjects the bloody aftermath. This is very cleverly done because it gets the point across without offending those who are "against violence", even in fiction.
Book three of this fabulous series brings forth the badly tarnished knight. Ramsey's been knocked down several times. His will to survive is admirable as it shatters his idealism. Even if he turns to a life of crime, his heart is still pure.
Ms. Knight creates black and white characters of good versus evil. One could argue that Ramsey is her grey. Yes and no. Ramsey never really comes across as evil. He's always been the one trying to get ahead of the unfortunate hand he's been dealt. For me, he's always the "good guy". This clear delineation between good and evil usually makes a story pretty flat. Ms. Knight overcomes this with solid character building as well as good world building. Her story is very cohesive and flows so smoothly. It's hard to put the book down once started. Every single book, I've started at late night thinking I'd read only a few chapters only to end up around two in the morning finishing the book. It's that damn good.
The BDSM in this story is hawt. It is fantasy in some ways but still so arousing with the sexual slavery theme. The bedroom submissive through the powerful mercenary Steffania only adds to the heat. The initial erotic power struggle between Steffania and Ramsey is frustrating. When Steffania gently yields and submits to Ram's expert rope work and devious sexual torture, it's panty wetting material.
With this story in a sci-fi techie world, Ms. Knight fully takes advantage of some of the more extreme BDSM fantasies. Rather than placing them in the hands of the good, she ups the ante by giving it to the evil. This non-con sadistic slavery only makes the consensual one that much more appealing. Well done! Also, where does one purchase these nanobots? They sound divine. This kinky sci-fi romance is highly recommended to romance lovers. There is a happily ever after once the brutal rape and torture ends.

I was so happy to receive an ARC for this book. I've read the first 2 books in the series and loved them both. I've liked Ram since he was introduced in book 2 (Hers to Choose) and have been wanting to read more about him. I was not disappointed in this book. Ram is a hot, possessive, badass alpha male and I loved him!
Steffania is a Captain of the Blue Daggers, an elite military unit. She's tough and always in control but sexual she longs to give up control. The problem is she can never find a man she could trust. She is called upon by the Verdantian Rulers to find a man they need for a mission, Ramsey DeKieran. The problem lies in the fact that he's someone she knows from her past and her's someone she's always wanted. When she gets pulled in to his mission to be his sexual submissive it's her secret dream come true...if she can actually trust him.
Ram was framed for murder and had to escape before trial when it appeared his framing for the crime worked. He became a criminal and lived on the run doing jobs where he could. When Steffania finds him and takes him to a meet with the Verdantian Rulers, he's offered his greatest dream, a full pardon if he takes a mission to retrieve a kidnapped Verdantian noblewoman. He agrees to take the mission with Steffania's help.
Steffania and Ram have to go to a different planet to take part in a tournament as a cover for their mission. They've both wanted to be together and have a bit of trouble keeping their minds on the mission as things develope. There are budding emotions (or maybe just the rising of suppressed emotions) between Ram and Steffania that give added depth to the start of their physical relationship.
The environment of the tourney is strict BDSM and Steffania (as the sub) has very stringent guidelines she's supposed to stay within or she could be punished (and not by Ram). Steffania has a bit of trouble at first but ends up gaining an unexpected ally as a result. Ram starts taking part in the tournament which is a cover for their rescue efforts. While establishing their cover in the tournament, Ram and Steffania engage in some pretty hot activities. I loved some of the high-tech sex toys that Patricia came up with and the combo of that with the rope play worked well.
Things progress in both the action and romance plot. Both Steffania and Ram are in deep with each other (there were some very touching moments between them) but unsure how to proceed. Ram doesn't feel he deserves Steffania as he has nothing to offer her even if he gets his pardon. Steffania finally found a man she can trust but doesn't know if she can hold on to him once the mission is done. They make progress on the mission but also have some setbacks. In the end, Steffania and Ram are separated and things look tense but with help from some new friends we end up with a great ending to the story.
This was a great book. Steffania and Ram and quite a pair, they're prefect for each other both in bed and out. The story was interesting and I couldn't go to sleep until I finished it (next stop bed...). I'm looking forward to the next in the series. I'd recommend this book. Thumbs up! :D

Hers to Cherish is a sci-fi light BDSM fantasy, involving a planet with D/s customs, an alpha male, and a female that likes to submit during sex.
Ramsey DeKieran is our alpha male, a ne'er do well roguish type, wronged by his Government, robbed of his one true love, and trying to make it through since as best he can. He's a pretty good guy, and he puts up with a lot from our female lead.
Captain Steffania Rickard is the aforementioned female lead. She's unprofessional, bullheaded and undiplomatic, and as unsubmissive as it comes, until she's naked. even when she's supposed to be undercover on a planet where she'll ruin everything by acting like a non-submissive, she just does what she wants, nearly ruining the mission. Unfortunately, she's the epitome of the sort of thing I don't like in BDSM books. She's prejudiced against other submissives, specifically those more submissive than herself, makes her feelings known when she feels the supporting female is "too submissive" and acts like a hard-ass every second when she isn't tied down. Sadly, this sort of opinion is widely held by a lot of sexual submissives, so I'm used to it in the real world also, but do we have to have our female submissives denigrating those more submissive than themselves all the time? I know Steffania is trying to establish herself as a bad-ass, but being mean to obedient submissive girls doesn't exactly make you a bad-ass, like kicking a cute puppy doesn't make you dangerous. Both just make you a mean person.
Still, the plot isn't bad, they go to the planet to rescue a girl who is being mind-raped and turned into a slave against her will, and is needed to save Verdantia, and in the end, Ramsey gets his girl, Steffania gets her HEA, and the girl gets rescued.
So, to sum up, I liked Ramsey, tolerated Steffania, even if she was mostly annoying she had a few redeeming moments, and I liked Pansy/Anjelica. The plot was pretty good, and I liked the planet they travelled to. Very interesting.

This is an innerplanetary sci-fi definitely not my typical genre of books but I enjoyed this book very much. Very good book ... Good character building and the action scenes are done well.
Ok so this book is a futuristic book from 4637 yet each planet seemed set in a different time period. Lord DeKierran and Steffania are from the planet Verdantia where they still use horses for transportation. They leave their planet to go to Vxloncia which is a high tech planet and hovercraft is their basic transportation. I suppose we can almost do that from country to country.
The H/h are sent on a mission to free a missing noble woman who is very important to the future of their home planet Verdantia. Steffania is the Captain of the special Blue Dagger Forces and is required to be DeKirran's Submissive on this mission because on the planet Vxloncia women have no rights and are nothing but submissive slaves. Ok so this book is a futuristic book from 4637 yet each planet seemed set in a different time period. Lord DeKierran and Steffania are from the planet Verdantia where they still use horses for transportation. They leave their planet to go to Vxloncia which is a high tech planet and hovercraft is their basic transportation. I suppose we can almost do that from country to country.
The H/h are sent on a mission to free a missing noble woman who is very important to the future of their home planet Verdantia. Steffania is the Captain of the special Blue Dagger Forces and is required to be DeKirran's Submissive on this mission because on the planet Vxloncia women have no rights and are nothing but submissive slaves. Fun, delicious, daring well written novel with incredible world building, incredible character building with each hero and heroine have their own distinct personalities!! Since there's video and audio everywhere, R & S can't just playact and they both come to realize they are each other's dream person. The rope play was very descriptive and sexin' was hot. There's an mm scene that they happen across that's just yummy. Lots of action.

This is my favorite so far in the Verdantia series.
Ramsey DeKieran is on the run after being convicted in absentia of murdering his wife. The Second Tetriarch will issue a pardon if he will travel off planet to return a kidnapped Verdantian noblewoman who is important to the survival to the planet.
The planet where the enslaved noblewoman is being held is ruled by sexual sadists who have strict laws governing even their visitors. To keep his cover intact, Ram takes Captain Steffania Rickard with him as his slaaf. She thinks it will all be an act.
However, when they reach their destination she discovers that the act will have to be real because their accommodations are heavily bugged. She has to be Ram's submissive in every way. If she doesn't control herself the punishment will be severe and there's no way Ram can help her.
Secretly, this thrills her because she needs to be controlled in the bedroom. And she wants Ram to be the man controlling her. As long as it's only in the bed.
This book has everything I want. Good action; evilness that makes you want to scream obscenities at the bad guys; hot, steamy sex; even a m/m scene. And yes, a HEA.

Patricia A. Knight does it again with the third book in the Verdantia Series. Though this is a series of books, Hers to Cherish can be read as a standalone.
Hers to Cherish is about Ramsey (Ram) who was once a nobleman in society who is offered a pardon for past crimes committed (well, crimes he was blamed for anyway) and Steffania, a member of Verdantia’s elite mercenary team. Although the mission that will pardon Ram does not hold a great outlook, several men have tried and failed in the past, he knows with Steffania’s help, he certainly stands a much better chance to winning and getting to the captured Verdantia noblewoman.
One more little thing about this adventure… Steffania must appear in the foreign land as a sex slave to Ram. Now, outwardly this is something that Steffania wants nothing to do with but secretly and behind closed doors being a sexual sub is something she likes. But Ram doesn’t know this about her, but there is no denying the sexual tension between these two on this crazy rescue adventure.
This is a fabulous book, it would seem that being the third book a series, things would start appearing the same from book to book, but Patricia A. Knight has written this third book so artfully that I wouldn’t have even know this was a third book except that I have read the first two in the series. Hers to Cherish is masterfully written with a unique passion and perspective on love and the world of D/s and I was very impressed once again with this third book in the Verdantia series. Each book is such a unique adventure and I am loving each one of these books.

There is absolutely no disputing that this author has the gist of the gab! However I wasn't feeling this story as much as the first in the series. I think the reason for that was this instalment had a heavier sci-fi feeling to it, and in all honesty it is not my preferred genre. So that is on me, not this very talented author.

Hers to Cherish begins with Captain Steffania locating the disgraced nobleman Ramsey and bringing him to the High Lord of Verdantia who offers him a full pardon in exchange for a rescue mission. Their first encounter was interesting, full of sexual tension and Ramsey’s charm, and Ramsey’s character was really what held this story together and made it an interesting read for me. A charismatic alpha male who knew exactly how to bring a strong willed heroine to submission, even if he had a little help from the scenario where their every action was monitored and Steffania had no choice but to act submissively in order not to blow their cover. He was unabashedly selfish at times, which offset his caring side nicely and made him more interesting. I liked Ramsey enough to want him to win.
There were a few questions that pulled me out of the story and made me doubt their competence. Before them, Verdantia sent many agents to recover their missing noble woman and none returned. They already knew who held the woman and where they might find her. Asking about her whereabouts and the man who kept her seemed pointless and reckless in such a context, and yet Ramsey told Steffania to engage other slaves to ask such questions and she continued to ask these questions even when it became apparent that none would answer them.
The portrayal of the evil slavers with no redeeming features made this story somewhat uninspiring for me as well. Having said that, the story was fast paced and there were some interesting surprises along the way. The interaction between Ramsey and Steffania had charming moments and the bedroom scenes were pretty hot when Ramsey was in his full dominant mood.

One of my favorite aspects of the story, aside from the smoldering sexual chemistry between Steffania and Ramsey, is that it's edgy. Bad things sometimes happen to the characters and it gives the story weight amidst all the sinfully sexy encounters... not irreparably bad and the hero and heroine always recover, but other characters aren't always so lucky and this is a nice counterbalance to the romantic thread. Plus, you can't have a gladiator book based around D/s sex without some violence and cruelty... and without some good ole gratuitous smut!

When I tell you I could not wait to get my hands on this book, I might be making an understatement. I am in love with this series. I'm just upset it took me so long to get to it.
Steffania is a different type of heroine from the previous books. She's strong and confident, and knows exactly what she likes. Ramsey fits the mold, but he's a bit of a jerk. It took a while for him to grow on me. Once I adjusted to the fact that he's exactly the type Steffania likes, I got over it. I enjoyed this little twist of BDSM that wasn't just by choice, but necessity to complete their mission. Steffania having to take the submissive role around the clock was quite amusing. At some points, I would have thought she'd say a bit more, but the story works well the way it is.
Ramsey was interesting to watch, mostly because we knew right away he was going to fall for Steffania. There was no way he'd resist her. Watching him go from pompous ass to overprotective male was worthwhile. The real selling point for me in the load of sex was the point where the two encountered a m/m couple. This series just keeps getting better! This story is about Ramsey DeKieran and Steffania Rikard. Ramsey is being sent on a mission to rescue Lady Alessa DeAlbero, who is someone very important to the livelihood of Verdantia. In exchange for completing this rescue, Ramsey will be given a complete pardon from crimes he was framed for. The planet they are going to is of the dom/sub lifestyle to the extreme. Ramsey will make the perfect dom but will Steffania, leader of Blue Daggers, make a good sub? This mission is seriously dangerous to both of them if they cannot perform their roles perfectly.
Patricia A. Knight has written a 5-Star book for sure. We knew these characters from previous books in this series but there were hidden depths to them that were amazing to discover. This is book three in this series and with every book that this author writes I'm loving them even more. I'm definitely keeping my eye on this author for future books!

My favorite story yet!! What a fantastic story! I loved Her's to Cherish, and I really can't express that enough. Now adding Patricia A. Knight to my awesome-as-sin authors shelf. My goodness.
This book has a great female protagonist. Steffania is strong but vulnerable at the same time,wonderfully complex, and very likable. Next we meet the male protagonist. Ramsey is strong, oh so hawt, honorable, and tortured by a dark and difficult past.
These two together add up to an engrossing story line that is well spiced with sexy sexy bondage scenes. The sense of intimacy building between Steffania and Ramsey is palpable. They both struggle internally and externally and it helps to make the story that much more engrossing. All around a great read by a great author that delivers time and time again.

This book was so great. It was nice to get off Verdantia for a bit and explore another world in this universe that Patricia Knight has created. I loved the blending of the old world ways with the futuristic sci-fi thrill. The hot was even hotter in this one and the love was even bigger and I didn't think that was possible! I'm not sure if I would consider these cliffhangers but I can't wait to see what comes next (hopefully something) for Tok, Angelica/Pansy and Alessa. There are so many things that I can imagine so I'm sure Ms. knight will make them brilliant with her unstoppable imagination.

Another great installment to the Verdantia series. Of course, I knew Steffania (I just love that name) and Ramsey would end up together, but it was touch and go on how it would all pan out. I loved how respectful and protective Ramsey was of Pansy, even though he had absolutely no attraction to her. He sort of “inherited” her, and after understanding her situation, he wasn’t about to give her back. And I also loved that Ramsey could appreciate Steffania’s strength, yet understand and cherish her desire for submission. I really enjoyed the story. I enjoyed even more what Tok did to Narr. Tee hee! Karma is a bitch.

I must say, this is the best in the series. I loved seeing Doral here and there throughout this and the previous book Although I wish there were a sex scene or two with him in it ;) I REALLY hope this is not the end. I don't care who's next, I want MORE!!!
This is not your typical Sci-Fi/Erotica. It's full of passion, action, drama and so much more. Even if you're not into Sci-Fi, this series will draw you in. You will love each couple more with each chapter.

Several people have given very detailed reviews so I will keep mine short. Ms. Knight has written another excellent addition to the Verdantia series. Each book is good but they keep getting better and better. Hers to Cherish has great characters, a well-balanced plot full of action and hot, sexy scenes. I am looking forward to more books in the Verdantia series and urge everyone to read Ms. Knight's series. Ms. Knight is a must buy for me now.

This was SO different from the previous two books, but it was SO good! Fantastic story line! I REALLY like the new characters in this book (and the old ones too). :) I will add more to my review when I have a chance to sit down and take my time, but I just finished it, and needed to share right away! :)

What a great addition to the series. Wonderful story with a great romance (very hot) and lots of action with suspense. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

The third book in the Verdantia series takes place mostly off-world. Ramsey DeKieran, whom we met as the gruff captain who set out to nab Sophi in book 2, turns out to be just a misunderstood bad boy doing the best with what he's dealt. Hmmmm... it gives the author a chance to move us into a new place and introduce a new world, BDSM, and misogyny in the mix.
Ramsey (or Ram as we come to know him), we learn, is an aristocrat on Verdantia who was falsely accused of murdering his wife. He knows it was a jealous former male lover (because on Verdantia, sex is sex without prejudice) who set him up. But because he was more interested in revenge and killing that former lover, there's no proof of his innocence. So Ram fled and became the captain of a rag-tag band of mercenaries, who took the paying jobs. But we saw in book 2 that Ram has a heart and nobility buried inside, when he arranged Sophi's escape from sure death and fought alongside Eric to hold off the Haarb until help could arrive.
Doral, Sophi's brother and one of the ruling triumvirate of Verdantia, offers Ram a full pardon from his past crimes and all his previous lands, titles, and wealth back IF Ram agrees to rescue another Verdantia noble woman from another planet. The mother goddess of Verdantia has made it clear that this kidnapped noble woman is vital to re-establishing the necessary genetic pool and powers needed for Verdantia's rebuilding.
Problem is, no one else has succeeded on this mission; in fact, none have returned alive. Ram figures he's got as good a chance as any, so he agrees. Only to find out that it's likely his unique fighting talents and sexual tastes (BDSM Dom) that are needed.
Captain Steffania Rickard, not a Verdantian but an honored military leader of the League, is also needed as Ram's BDSM female. She doesn't want to go, because she's drawn to Ram and doesn't want to risk another broken heart. But she has no choice, of course.
The world on which Ram and Steffania must go to is one where females are less than property, considered dumb and only good for sex and brutalizing. It's a harsh and cruel world where Steffania constantly chafes against witnessing the horrid treatment of women. Without the very 007-like tech tools that Ram and Steff have, including a device that allows them to read each others' thoughts, they'd never be able to mask their true feelings.
Ram's cover is as a fighter in the annual gladitor-like games. Steff is his sexual slaaf (slave). They know that their every move is monitored. And yet they must also show their Dom/slaaf relationship. Unbeknownst to them, these sessions are taped and distributed, making both Ram and Steff hot commodities and celebrities - enough status that prevents the bad guys from simply killing them in the streets.
Lots of spy stuff in this one and perhaps not as much sex, since it's not needed to empower a whole planet. But the sex is still hot, with the BDSM very mild - mostly bondage and shibari. The harsher stuff we only witness in the brief moments of misogynistic orgies of the planet's inhabitants.
The ending is nail-biting - will they be able to fulfill their mission or not? Will the planetary slaaf, Pansy, that Ram's been given temporarily help or hinder their mission? Or is she really the enemy?
Of the three books, this one probably has the most heart and story.
