ਐਲਡਸ ਲਿਓਨਾਰਦ ਹਕਸਲੇ (26 ਜੁਲਾਈ 1894 – 22 ਨਵੰਬਰ 1963) ਇੱਕ ਬ੍ਰਿਟਿਸ਼ ਲੇਖਕ ਸੀ[1][2][3][4] ਅਤੇ ਹਕਸਲੇ ਪਰਵਾਰ ਦਾ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਵਲਾਂ ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਖਾਸ ਤੌਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਰੇਵ ਨਿਊ ਵਰਲਡ ਨਾਮਕ ਭਵਿੱਖਦਰਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਵਲ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਅਰਸੇ ਤੱਕ ਆਕਸਫੋਰਡ ਕਵਿਤਾ (ਆਕਸਫੋਰਡ ਪੋਏਟਰੀ) ਪਤ੍ਰਿਕਾ ਦਾ ਸੰਪਾਦਨ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਲਘੂ ਕਹਾਣੀਆਂ, ਕਵਿਤਾਵਾਂ, ਯਾਤਰਾ - ਵਰਣਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਲਮੀ ਕਹਾਣੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਦੇ ਸਰੀ ਜਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਅਗਲੇਰਾ ਦਾ ਭਾਗ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਦੇ ਲਾਸ ਏਂਜਲਿਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਤੀਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
