With the increasing use of #AI, it’s important for the industry to have appropriate guidelines that ensure the responsible adoption of AI that not only benefits the industry, but also protects customers. We’re glad to share that we’re one of 18 leading global telcos, who are involved in the development of the first telco Responsible AI (RAI) Maturity Roadmap, so telcos can develop and harness the technology ethically. William Woo, Singtel’s Group Chief Information Officer and Group Chief Digital Officer, said, "As a leading digital services provider, the Singtel Group is committed to empowering people and businesses and creating a more sustainable future for all. To ensure AI is developed and used ethically and responsibly, we have collaborated with GSMA to develop the Responsible AI Maturity roadmap which provides the industry with a clear framework for action. This roadmap also guides our own efforts to enhance our responsible AI practices, so enterprises and consumers can benefit from the value creation potential of this next-generation technology safely." Singtel references key regulatory guidelines domestically and globally such as the EU AI Act and US NIST 100-1 AI Risk Management Framework to guide our own approach. This roadmap is one of the many building blocks we are putting in place to promote better industry practices in the digital age. #Singtel #ResponsibleAI #EthicalAI #TechForGood #FutureofAI

Scams are on the rise, impacting many, including migrant workers. To help Chinese migrant workers navigate online transactions safely, Singtel Dash, in partnership with Tenpay Global, recently ran an informal workshop on safe remittance practices and digital security. About 50 workers attended the session, where they received advice on recognising and avoiding common scams when sending money back to their loved ones in China. The Singapore Police Force also joined the session to educate the workers on scams and how they can increase their resilience against scams by taking preventive measures.    Gilbert Chuah, Head of Financial and Lifestyle Services at Singtel, added, “Our migrant workers work tirelessly and make tremendous sacrifices to send money back home. By using unauthorised platforms to remit their funds, they risk losing their hard-earned money which can be devastating for both the workers and their families. Singtel takes the digital transaction security of our migrant workers very seriously and has been helping them transact with confidence via our many outreach efforts. Beyond providing a secure and efficient platform for remittance, Dash, we want to ensure they have the knowledge and tools to be financially safe.”   Singtel Dash, together with its community partners have been running regular roadshows and engagement programmes such as these for the migrant worker community to learn about scams and how to make secure remittance transactions using the Dash app.    The event also doubled up as a celebration for the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, where familiar dishes were served to evoke a sense of home and for the workers to busk in the spirit of togetherness.    If you know someone who may have been impacted or needs advice on scams, they can visit scamalert.sg or call the National Crime Prevention Council’s Anti-Scam Helpline at 1800-722-6688. #SingtelDash #SafeRemittance #CommunitySupport #FinancialEducation #MigrantWorkers

We’re excited to share that we’re collaborating with some of the world’s largest telecom operators and Ericsson to form a new venture to make network Application Programming Interfaces, or APIs, accessible to all telcos globally. The new unified platform will provide network APIs to more developer platforms such as hyperscalers, to support more enterprises, spur greater innovation in global services and open up a new host of applications.   Kuan Moon Yuen, Singtel’s Group Chief Executive Officer, said, “This unified platform and global eco-system will enable even more developers and businesses to leverage 5G quality networks to exploit API opportunities using GSMA’s open gateway principles. We look forward to helping even more enterprises and organisations in Asia to use network API solutions to drive growth and innovation through this timely collaboration.”     Singtel has been leading the use of APIs to create applications such as #SingVerify, which is a suite of solutions that authenticates digital identities. Our annual Singtel Charity Golf has raised a record amount totalling S$1.48 million for the Singtel Touching Lives Fund this year. Thank you to our business partners, NCS Group, Optus and regional associates AIS, Globe Telecom and Telkomsel for joining us at Tanah Merah Country Club to raise funds for six special education schools which play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of students with special needs.   Kuan Moon Yuen, Singtel’s Group Chief Executive Officer said, “With the amount raised, we will be able to further our goal of advancing the development and inclusion of vulnerable segments in our community. We support some 1,800 students yearly across our six adopted schools, and it is gratifying to see the progress made over the past 12 years. We are pleased that students have been securing internships and employment opportunities as well as integrating into mainstream higher learning institutes for further vocational training.”   The post-event dinner gives students a platform to practice skills from their F&B training as well as showcase their musical and artistic talent. Students from APSN Delta Senior School served welcome drinks and some of the courses, while APSN Tanglin School students entertained guests with a vibrant percussion performance. We held a charity auction, where an art piece in acrylic by a student from APSN Tanglin School, titled “Pink Storm”, drew strong interest.   Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gBw7yK67   #APSN #ComChest #EmpowerEveryGeneration #SingtelTouchingLivesFund #Sustainability
