The #DIB team is gearing up for the Labour Party (UK) conference which begins in ##Liverpool on Sunday. If you’re attending, why not give Frank Mckenna a shout?
Chief Executive & Group Chairman at Downtown in Business Ltd, the best in class business organisation providing connections, influence, and profile to ambitious companies across the UK.
I’ve been on tour this week, hosting Downtown in Business events and meeting our members and partners in #Manchester #Birmingham #Liverpool and #London. The government may not be having the best of times when it comes to news management- but there certainly appears to be a growing confidence within the business community that things are feeling more positive economically. The US Feds interest rate cut and the UKs inflation news will have helped. But generally, business leaders seem more optimistic. If the Chancellor Rt Hon Rachel Reeves can add a little sugar to the bitter message of the mess she has inherited from the previous government in her conference speech on Monday, that would surely add to - if not feel good factor, then at least a ‘feel better’ mood- among businesses. I’ll be at conference this week, so if you’re around the ACC Liverpool and fancy grabbing a coffee, let me know. #DIB is also hosting a couple of fringe events with our good friends Best for Britain Robert Binns Alex Cousins Cal Roscow Naomi Smith FCMA Trevor Steven Julie Mogan Sophie Gilmore Bill Addy Phil Marsden Phil Mayall Christine Vaudrey 王思婷 Tom Myers Jessica Bowles Chris McKenna William Givens David Wade-Smith Nathan McNamara Dave Dargan Ed James 🚀 John Kelley-Quinn Stephen Cowperthwaite Beth McKenna #business #politics #events #economy
