The story line in this series keeps me reading (combination of reading and books on CD while in car). I do a lot of skipping. Since the author obviously did so much research out herbs, surgeries, and medicine in general over a 200 year period, she wants to share many details and educate you about all those things. I feel like the editor's have really been falling down on the job here. In one place, the author references a character from a recent Harry Potter film. Let's not forget that our protagonists are from the 60s, not the 2010s. There's also a point where she seems to get the character's last name wrong. According to references, Jocasta takes Duncan's name (Innes), but at least once he's referred to as Duncan Cameron?

I searched the ebook and found the Duncan Cameron bit appeared once in chapter 110 and I think that is an editing mistake. Unless he changes his name, I haven't read that far yet.(less)

Does this one move faster than book 5? I read the first 4 books in the matter of almost a month. I've been on book 5 since June and I'm still only about half way through. I the others I couldn't put down, but 5 has been exactly the opposite. Hoping 6 is an improvement and speeds back up. Please tell me there is hope!

In epilogue 1, when Roger and Bree look at the box, it has the name Jeremiah Alexander Ian Fraser McKenzie on it (which is their son's name), she says "Who is that?". Had she forgotten her own son's full name? That's always frustrated me. Can someone explain?
