Model Man is the third and final book in the Monsters in Space series. We have Arlo, a famous closeted British film star. He’s a huge man who, deep down, wants to be held at the bottom, but his partners expect him to be the dominant one due to his appearance. After a hookup one night, he’s kidnapped by the Vulktari as he’s walking home. He learns that he’s the mate of Commander Lox.
Lox has been watching Arlo for a while and knows what he craves and gives it to him. He needs to submit fully and take what is given.
I really enjoyed Model Man. It was another fun, steamy addition to this series. I loved seeing Arlo unravel and allow himself to give in to Lox. He tries to resist, but Lox knows exactly how to capture his heart. This story is also mostly sex, so don’t expect much plot; however, while being mostly erotica, it is very sweet and romantic.
Overall, I really enjoyed this series. If you’re looking for a short, steamy and fun alien romance, I recommend this series!

First, we have Arlo, who is forced to ignore his deepest desires because of his physique. He wants to be babied, he wants to be loved on and cuddled and sweet talked and called sweetheart and baby and love, he wants a man who’s bigger than him and wants to be cared for, and smashed within an inch of his life, seeing and hearing heaven and angels. And who better to do all of the things to him, than the giant Alien who is now his new mate??
Bring in Lox. Huge (in all ways), strong, tall, and just so very loving towards his new mate. He wants to give him all the love and cuddles, but also really wants to just bring all of Arlo’s desires to light and succeed in ALL ways. Wants to give rewards and punishments, wants to take care of Arlo (feeding, cleanliness, bathroom breaks, you know the usual), wants to give Arlo many… completions, all while expressing his love.
Kinks and TWs: dub-con (also non-con, but more leaning towards dub-con), use of an enema (I feel like this is kind of an expected situation when reading a book about anal, but what do I know?), Arlo has an experience with a 3rd party character in Chap 1 (to show how unsatisfied Arlo is with his life, this is NOT cheating even though Lox brings it up later as a reason for punishment 😏), lots of care and loving, but lots of dirty dirty smutty stuff too. Honestly, the smut in this is so well written, I’m giving it stars JUST because of the writing itself.
However, it lost a star because that ending was kind of funky? But who cares, this is an erotica book, are we really reading for the plot? The answer is no. :)
Also, yes I’m reviewing this using Booksprout HOWEVER to give even further transparency, I’ve read both prior books in this series and left reviews on both from Booksprout, and I actually first read this one on Kindle before even remembering to go to Booksprout. I really enjoy this series. I will definitely continue reading all future releases.

Best out of the three
Listen, I like a series that knows what it is and isn't trying to do more. These books lean into the romantacy, turn the heat up as high as it will possibly go, and then give you some feels. That being said, I kind of wish this had been full length.
I've been praising these books for not overstaying their welcome and I stand by that. But, this book did something the other two didn't. There was a real threat outside of Earth being on fire (much like it currently is). There are steaks, there is danger, I genuinely had a moment where I wondered if Lox was going to reach Arlo in time. That's kind of hard to do in a book so short where you know the couples going to end up together. It even has some truly terrifying lines and I kind of wished we had seen more of these grotesque cyborgs more. They were imaginative truly terrifying. I would have loved a full-length novel or at least another 20 pages that gets into the war Lox and his people are fighting.
As it is, I will definitely be reading Rome Ford's full length book when it arrives. If they're this creative, this solid of a writer, and know how to balance high heat with genuine romance, I'm sold. So while I wish this was longer I stand by five star rating and will add that I think this is the best one.

This is the third book in the Gay Monsters in Space series but works fine as a standalone story. Arlo and Lox together had a lot of chemistry and this book seemed to give a slightly different angle to things that the previous two. We experienced more regarding what Arlo went through after being captured and taken from Earth initially. There was also some action towards the end that I really didn't expect! I thought the pair of them had an interesting dynamic and there were lots of steamy moments. I hope that there are more stories set in this world because there are so many possibilities left to explore!
Overall, a good read with a HEA for the main characters.

I loved this book. Good world building. The chemistry between Arlo and Lox was sizzling. I liked the dynamic between them. And I was very hooked to the page. Arlo resisted of course, but his dissatisfaction with his life and his deeper desires being fulfilled/promised to be fulfilled by Lox, slowly has him beginning to relax and surrender. A very fun, delicious read. 5 stars

Model Man
I very much enjoyed it. Can be read as a stand-alone because it’s been ages since I read the first two books so I barely remember what happened in them. Those couples are mentioned in the epilogue though.

Filthy and Fantastic
Arlo was once a celebrity, but when aliens begin kidnapping human males, that all changed. Lox has been keeping an eye on Arlo for a while, and when the opportunity comes, he snatches it. This story is packed with steamy, tentacley, alien-abductiony goodness, with plenty of otherworldly-ness and spice. A quick and super-hot read.

Model Man by Rome Ford in book 3 in the Gay Monster in Space series but can be read as a standalone.
Earth is dying and aliens from Vulktari are kidnapping men to mark and claim them as their mates. Arlo used to be a famous actor, but with the kidnappings, the industry collapsed. He is taken by Commander Lox who claims Arlo is his mate. Arlo has also felt like something was missing – because of his size and how he looks not many can give him what he craves. Not until Lox. Lox gives him what he needs – he takes control and takes care of Arlo. Lox wants to give Arlo whatever he needs and worships him.
There was some non-con in the beginning (hair removal, enema, etc). that Arlo did say no to. This part did make me feel a little uneasy. I also felt the ending to be a bit weird and felt a little rushed to finish the book. Overall, I did like this book, the spice was excellent – like the whole series. I think that book 1 is still my favorite. I am hoping there will be more in this series.
