Whew chile this book was hot! Summer Fling had me clutching all my invisible pearls! It immediately pulls you in. The story line was realistic and well developed. I loved Jade and Keenan as a couple. They were sexy and interesting with just the right amount of chemistry. After a minor bump in the road, their unexpected attraction to one another led to a genuine relationship. Which, neither of them was looking for. Summer Fling checked all my boxes for the perfect romance. It was worth every star.

Jade Sheppard has one goal at the moment and that is to pass the BAR exam. She has a mentor that pours into her and with her backing, Jade can’t help but win. After failing the exam the first go round, her boss recommends some time away from work to regroup, refocus and study her 🍑 off so that when she retakes the test she’s sure to pass.
A nice rental for a few weeks near the beach is just what the doctor ordered and she is laser focused until the owner of her rental who has been affectionately coined as AirBnBae comes through with major DICKtractions. 😏
These next few weeks with Keenan are nothing short of freaky however a bond is ultimately formed and now the questions that hangs in the balance is will this summer fling turns into a year round romance?
Had I read this when it came out it would have been amazing but since this is 4 years after this books release, it was just ok. I gave it 4 stars because of its potential 4 years ago but it was really closer to 3 when compared to the current reads out there. This was a decent read that you may or may not remember come next month. This was my first introduction to this author and based off the story overall I’d definitely read more from her catalog.

Michelle has given her 2 weeks to study and decompress. Jade’s best friend books her a week study retreat/ staycation. She’ll be staying in Keenan’s guesthouse close to the beach. From the moment Jade and Keenan meet the attraction is instant. I cannot lie I am jealous, summer fling is seriously hot. They have such cute dates, Black people surfing 🏄🏽♀️ I love to see it! The epilogue is great, I’d definitely recommend you read this! P.s. I have so much more to say but no spoilers 🤐

Jade was so precious. She was so ambitious. Sis was not going to let the bar exam own her. She failed once, but she said no more. During a get-away "studycation," as she so beautifully coined it, she met Keenan. It was instant attraction on both sides. She thought it was a summer fling, but little did she know, according to Keenan and her feelings.
BTW, black girl surfing... loved it. I don't think I've ever seen a black woman surfing, so I definitely enjoyed that.
This was super cute. Definitely pick this one up for a little quick feel, good story. I'm realizing I can always count Te Russ for some feel good stories.

Short but effective.
The story is really about Jade figuring out how to be in a relationship, but I enjoyed how her main focus was to get her dream job and to work for it.
I was definitely rooting for Jade and Keenan. A nice summer read

AirBnBae...Bey! I loved Keenan he was sexy, rich, smart and had an edge to him. Loved Jade as a heroine too, she was smart, beautiful, bold and stubborn. Neither of them expected to encounter the other at the beach house and you could feel the chemistry between them immediately. Also the steamy sex scenes were HOT and I loved seeing some of my fave characters mentioned as well. This was the perfect end of summer novella and a quick enjoyable read.

First read by this author, and I loved it. Jade and Keenan's love grew organically, as they were smitten as soon as they laid eyes on each other. They played coy for a quick minute, but as soon as the opportunity presented itself, it was on! Their chemistry was so hot, and they just vibed so well together. Was a bit perturbed with Jade, for taking the words of a words of another about Keenan, without speaking to him about it. She had to learn the hard way, by missing him, over some bs! Glad they were able to get back on track, as they were both miserable. Enjoyed this quick read, and will definitely be seeking out more stories from this author. Good job! 👍👍👍

It was ok. I honestly don’t even believe in their relationship - felt rushed & not fully developed - maybe if it happened over the span of the actual summer I would have believed it - but roughly two weeks? Ion think so.
Also, not a fan of miscommunication but this one really made me roll my eyes bc how& why are you going to believe the words of some random stranger & not talk to the man you’ve had sex with? Like HUH? Proving once again that they didn’t know each other at all 🙄 and then when she got mad at him talking to someone else when she was the one that pushed away? Like girl pleassssseeeee get a grip!!

Another Te' Russ hit
Summer fling was a smokin hot story. Jade and Keenan hook up while she is renting his guest house for the summer. These two have amazing chemistry both in and out of the bedroom but after a run in encounter with a jealous woman rejected by Keenan Jade allows her callous words to spook her so she cuts ties and heads back to LA. Keenan was confused about Jade's about face regarding them and after a conversation with a friend heads to LA to get his woman.
5 star read all the way. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐❤❤❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Summer Fling was a quick and fun read, but didn't skimp on the steam factor. There was an instant physical attraction between Jade and Keenan. Even when they tried, they could not ignore the growing chemistry between them. What Jade thought was going to be a quick beach trip to help her refocus and study after failing the bar, turns into something unexpected. Keenan is the distraction she did not know she needed. There is a lot going for this book. My only remark is that Jade and Keenan at times were inconsistent with the condom use, which is a bit of a pet peeve of mine.

Perfection!
This was a cute and amazing read just perfect for my summer reading. I love a good short well rounded romance with chemistry and spice and that’s definitely what was delivered with Jade and Keenan. I loved how their relationship blossomed and they blossomed organically. I would love more from this couple because it was perfection. Te’russ never lets me down when she puts pen to paper and I can’t wait for more

I think this is the first story by Té that I didn��t love. I feel like their relationship was rushed, no real build up like we usually get. I enjoyed this novella. Keenan is definitely bae! Sometimes we don't know how love will come but we have to be prepared for haters to seek to destroy it. That bitter neighbor thought she won but I am glad for second chances. My first read by this author. Will definitely be checking out more of her works.

Studication Turned Into A Baecation🔥🔥
I like the fact that Keenan and Jade were both lusting over each other and when an opportunity presented itself, while both sober, they explored each other until both were satisfied. They hit a bump in the rode but they eventually bounced back and exploring the possibilities of what they could become day by day.

What a way to spend the summer!!! Keenan and Jade had instant chemistry and did not let up - AT ALL! This couple was super hot!
Despite this getaway being a way for Jade to focus and study without distraction, she was able to find a great study partner in Keenan. He brought balance to her situation in every way imaginable. *wink* These two were not shy about anything, and I was here for it.
Kudos to the author for the cameos from some of the cutest couples from her other books/series. She did a great job weaving them in this story! I sure hope we hear from Keenan and Jade again and get an update on them.
