Amethyst Kiss

Rate this book
She fell in love with a vampire only to become bonded to his cruel twin brother.

After a failed attempt on her life leaves twenty-one year old Violet bonded to Ruben, the vampire Jory's brutal twin, she is forced to live with Ruben or die from separation sickness.

But Violet is sure she'll die from sheer boredom instead. Ruben ignores her, shutting himself in his office to research a rare supernatural creature that might be a mere myth.

Ruben swears he hates Violet as he pines for a lost love. And Violet still lusts after Jory, the gentler of the twins. Is there a chance any of them will get a happily ever after? The key lies in Ruben's tragic past and the creature he seeks.

Then the werewolves show up.

Amethyst Kiss is told entirely in third person. (There is no switching between third and first.)

Quick and New

This is definitely an interesting take on vampires. It ends with an HEA for everyone which is nice because I was expecting a turn of events and switching sides. I liked how the story developed even if it was a short steamy read. The only downside is that it was challenging to figure out the point of view of some chapters. It saw it go from first to third person and at times when I had to figure it out, it took away from the story. First time reading Jennifer Tirrell and I would try another from her as well. She definitely has potential to write some great concepts!

Great

This is a great little story with lots of passion. Two very different brothers come to have very different relationships with the same woman. But as things get more complicated werewolves storm the joint and a miracle is needed to protect them all. I'll not say whether they get said miracle, that would be cheating...

A very steamy vampire read!

What starts out as a vampire retelling of Beauty and the Beast twists into an exciting set up for a second book! Lore, love, and plot twists! Very spicy!

Enjoyable short read

Jennifer Tirrells' "Amethyst Kiss" was far from lacking in spice. The fmc falls in love with a vampire, only to become bonded to his cruel twin brother. Enjoyable short read, although I occasionally got a little lost in the flow.

Unfortunately not for me. Read like a bad Twilight fanfiction.

Plot
This novella is perfect for anyone looking for vampires, mates and hot sex.

Characters
There was just enough character development to draw you in, and keep you interested in what minimal plot there was. (Minimal plot being a good thing here ;) )

Romance
Very little romance, mostly sex.

Spice - 3.5/5
Very sexy and full of passion but not too out of the box or over the top.

Overall good - The smut was on point for what it is... a sexy vampire novella.

Overall bad - honestly I have very little to say bad about it. You get what you get with this one and it was exactly what I was looking for.

Troupes -
Vampires
Mates
werewolves
force proximity
wrong mate/rejected mate
second chance
