Having been put through the ringer by her ex who was a perpetual cheater and master manipulator, Bridgett doesn’t have much faith in men. Then Noah comes into her life, a guy unlike any man she’s ever known. Not only is he dependable, kind, and honest, he’s too hot for his own good.

Not that any of that matters since Bridgett is still technically married, and Noah has made it clear without words that he’s not interested.

So what’s the worst that could happen when there’s a fire and he offers her a place to crash until she can get back on her feet?

Protecting those in need comes with his job as a police officer, so Noah’s not surprised by his need to protect Bridgett. The feelings of possessiveness when it comes to her are not something he knows how to deal with.

Noah knows he should keep her at arm’s length, but instead of putting distance between them he keeps finding ways to bring them closer together and he’s not sure if she will ever be close enough.

Bridgett is down on her luck lately. She's going through a divorce, and her cheating ex is driving her crazy. She's working for the family business while staying at her brother's extra place. She's trying her best to stand on her own, but nothing is going her way. Then she crosses paths with a man she crushed on when she was younger. Noah has been her big brother Aiden's best friend since they were teenagers. He shows her kindness when she needs it most, and offers her a place to stay when she's in a bind. She's never met a guy like him, and soon is having unexpected feelings for him. The timing is off since she's still technically married, but the heart wants what the heart wants.

Noah is a police officer in a small town in Tennessee. He is dependable and defends those in need. This includes his best friends sister Bridgett. He feels an urge to protect her, and tells himself it's nothing. He's just being a nice guy. He'd do the same for anyone else. The truth is there's an attraction there he can't ignore, and he wants her. He knows he should keep his distance, but the more time he spends with her, the more he craves her presence. Will he continue to keep her at arm's length, or will he go after what he truly wants?

Keeping you was a novella within Aurora Rose Reynolds Until series. It was also part of the 1001 Dark Knights series by various best selling romance authors.

I really enjoyed both Noah and Bridgett. Noah was Aiden’s best friend (Until May) and Bridgett was Aiden’s sister. The storyline began in the middle of Aiden and May’s story. Noah was always sexy and his story didn’t disappoint. Bridgett needed a big redemption and I love the way Reynold’s handled it. I also love that Reynolds didn’t do the normal push and pull taboo storyline of a best friend’s sibling theme. Bridgett and Aiden also needed restoration and I loved how that was folded into the story as well. All in all, it was a great compliment to the series and a quick, fun, sexy and “good feels” read.

While short this one was cute. Bridgett was floundering at the start, but the more time went on she managed to find her footing. It helped that Noah was there by her side, nudging her at times, flat out pushing her at others. I liked when they crossed the line to more, but deserved so much happiness.

This was a good novella. Better than a few of ARR's full books I've read lately in my opinion. Bridgett started to get on my nerves in the beginning but turned out to be a cool character. I do feel that she was WAY too lenient on her ex. If he didn't sign a prenup, then she should have gone for that. Don't struggle to prove a point. Along with that, she should have put him in jail for putting his hands on her.

Another man that should have had something said to him was her brother. I haven't read Until May, but her brother Aiden sounded like a tool. He wasn't really there for his sister because of how he thought she was. His girlfriend treated her better than he did.

I did really enjoy the relationship between her and Noah. Even though he had prejudiced thoughts against her, he still looked out for her. He took the time to get to know her. He treated her better than her family. I love how he protected her! Their mutual pining while living together was so addicting to read about.

All in all, I enjoyed Keeping You. The romance was done well and I enjoyed the story.

I received an ARC of Keeping You from 1001 Dark Nights in exchange for an honest review. This was the first book by Aurora Rose Reynolds I've read, and I can say without hesitation that I will be reading all of her books now! Keeping You is a novella that is connected to her Until Him/Her series and it can be read as a stand alone, thankfully, so I was not lost or felt like I was missing any of the story.
Bridgett, our FMC, is going through a divorce and overall personal life change. After not having a whole lot of faith in men, unfortunate circumstances has her crossing paths with Noah, our MMC.
Noah is an alpha, a police office, and her brother's best friend (*EEk for those who love the brother's best friend trope like me--swoon**). He knows he needs to keep her at arm's length, but still finds ways to watch out for Bridgett as she finds her footing.
This novella was sweet and steamy- just like I like 'em!
Can't wait to go back and read the main series connected with this book.

My, oh my! I think I love Noah!!! He was pretty much perfect! And he was exactly what Bridgette needed in her life. An alpha male who was there for her but could listen to her when she needed it, and not go off half crazy when she asked him not too. As with every Until book I've read by this author, Keeping You was perfect!!!

This was a nice reading!

The H and the h were pretty good! It was a light and short reading!

The only thing was that I didn’t feel their chemistry especially in the beginning! They didn’t know each other and suddenly he wanted to help her! It was weird that she didn’t have a relationship with her brother not even in the end.

It was a nice reading! Nothing special!

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Aurora Rose Reynolds returns with a new story in her Until Him/Her series…

This one does not disappoint!
Bridgett has decided to leave her husband even knowing she’ll be broke and struggling. Then her car gets stolen and totaled out and then her home gets ruined. She has no friends and her family isn’t very loving towards her.
Poor lady!
Thank goodness Noah is a little stubborn and insists she moves into his guest room. Little by little they develop a friendship which quickly becomes more. She wants to do things on her own but she’s very thankful for his help.
These two deserve the happily ever after they get!

This is a novella length story featuring a couple who knows May and Aiden. In fact, Bridgett is Aiden’s younger sister.

This was a cute novella set in the Until Him/Her series. Bridgett has recently left her uncaring husband she is struggling but determined to prove to her family and herself that she can survive on her own. I was angry at the way everyone but her father treated her like an afterthought but it made her stronger. Bridgett has always had a crush on her brother's friend Noah but he has never noticed her .. or has he? I liked alpha Noah, he's used to being in charge and I liked how all his protective instincts came out when she needed rescuing. This is a quick read so everything happens quickly but the author still gives a packed story with some drama and lots of love and sexy time.

Quickie review: 3.5-3.75 stars. This was a cute read. It was a good story and plenty long enough. This is a brother's best friend story. Bridgett had been though a lot and was being incorrectly judged poorly as a person by her brother and his best friend, Noah. I felt really bad for her. I wanted a bit more apologies from Noah and her brother for their treatment of her. This was more of a slow burn book, vs. instalove, and I found it a little lacking in chemistry. It was not very memorable and was not my favorite ARR book, but still was entertaining and worth reading.

First of all, I would like to thank 1001 Dark Nights for this ARC. I absolutely loved it and was able to finish it very quickly. I loved Noah and Bridgett. It was of course a novella, so everything happened quickly but somehow still felt natural. It really makes me want to read the rest of the books from this series!

4.5 stars. As a hopeless romantic I just love this series! Ms Reynolds has a gift for creating characters that are thoroughly enjoyable to read and root for. The stories are somewhat formulaic: guy and girl meet, something happens and they are thrown together and eventually realize they love each other. But there is just something about this author that makes it seem so fresh every time. Keeping You is no different with both Bridgett and Noah are just so likable. Another great read

I’m a HUGE fan of this author and this addition to the Until world is just as fabulous as the rest of them. Though the story was short, it felt full and complete, and not rushed at all. The story was entertaining, sexy, and intense… exactly what I’ve come to expect from the author. It refers to a couple from a previous story, but can be read as a complete standalone. I HIGHLY recommend you pick this one up!

Keeping You by Aurora Rose Reynolds is a 1001 Dark Nights novella in the Until Her/Him Series. This is Bridgett and Noah‘s story.

Ever since reading Until Willow and seeing some glimpses of this story, I was more than excited to learn more about Bridgett and Noah and this novella was lovely.

Bridgett was a bit dislikeable in the other book and when getting her perspective, I could understand her a lot better. She has been through a lot in past relationships and that left her no longer believing in love. However, certain circumstances create a forced proximity situation with Noah and these two have such a great chemistry.

Noah is a police officer who is very much protective and quickly extends that to Bridgett. The more time they spend together, the more real it feels, and he starts feeling possessive. That was amazing to see, and Noah is an alpha hero and that’s an aspect Aurora Rose Reynolds has mastered and herein it’s no exception.

Usually, novellas are always too short for my liking, but I felt like it was a good length for this story. If you love the Until Her/Him world this novella is a must read and at the same time, it’s the perfect introduction if you haven’t read anything from this world yet.

Overall, Keeping You is a beautiful story that I very much enjoyed. 4 stars.

Bridget and Noah know each other from childhood with Bridget, being Noah's best friend, Aiden's sister. Bridget has always had a little crush on Noah, but they have never really gotten the chance to know each other. Until Bridget's car is stolen and Noah is the police officer to take the report. He gets info about the thief’s location and ends up chasing them down. Unfortunately, her car was totaled in the chase. Noah finds her purse and cell phone in the car and feels bad. So after his all night shift he shows up at her door, only to discover Bridget is going car shopping on her own. He feels like he must protect her from being taken advantage of and skips sleep to help her car shop....and there's where he starts to feel protective of her, and maybe more.

Bridget is going through a very ruff time, she has caught her husband cheating on her for the last time. She has left him but he is not willing to accept she is divorcing him. So, he makes her life hell hoping she will come back to him and his money. Bridget doesn't want anything from the marriage, not the money, luxury items, nothing except her husband to sign the divorce papers and become her EX. She has started working for her father's company but everyone treats her poorly because she is the boss's daughter, despite the fact that she is starting at the bottom. Her friends turn out to being not such great friends by choosing her soon to be ex's side. She doesn’t have the best family relationship, except for her dad. So she feels pretty alone at the moment . If she wasn’t going through a lot, now she really becomes down on her luck when her brother's condo has a fire next door. Her brother’s condo, where she is living is uninhabitable. Aiden her brother was letting her stay there when he moved in with his girlfriend May.

When Noah is called to the scene of a fire he realizes it is his best friends place and he knows Aiden’s sister, Bridget is staying there. He is immediately relieved that she was at work and not home. So shockingly, even to himself he waits for her to come home with the excuse to have to escort her to go in and get anything she will need. Again he feels such protection over her and insists she stay in his guest room rather than a cheep motel. He keeps just getting this overwhelming feeling to protect her. But he knows he must resist his best friend’s sister, no matter how physically attracted to her he is. Or does he have to not act on his attraction?

As they share a living space, they are more and more drawn to each other. In a series of events Noah realizes that Bridget is not the woman he thought she was, a woman all about herself and money. Bridget stops seeing Noah as just her brother's best friend, and long time crush. Discovering that not all men are bad. But can this relationship work when there are so many obstacles to over come.....a jerk ex husband that will not stop causing chaos, a brother that isn't going to like them together, the possibility of Noah not getting his dream job and have to move, Bridget going back to her old lifestyle and husband, and so many more things....
This is a must read to see if Bridget and Noah get their happily ever after or realize there are just too many obstacles that stand in their way.

If you have never read an Aurora Rose Reynolds books, this is the perfect quick read and introduction to her writing. Each of her books will captivate you and fell like you are a character in the story or better yet a fly on the wall watching it all go down. You will love every one of her books for the storytelling and the steamy spicy moments are just a perfect addition to it all.

Honestly, ARR follows a formula and with every book, rarely strays, so, in novella length, it could be that the stories are better to take: short and quick, giving you all the gooey goodness, without any lag or feeling of déjà vu . But some of the couples' stories may cause more heartache, heart-twists, heat-twists, or turns in the plot than others, and some just are sweet, predictable, and fine, and that's it... well if analyzed more deeply, one may say the storytelling pushes lines of over-cliché, OTT, or it has too many cookie cutter characters; however, I've read an inordinate amount of ARR's books, expecting none to be 5 star and still enjoying those I've rated 2 stars, soooo...

4.5 -⭐⭐⭐⭐💫

How the heck am I suppose to convince myself not to fall for this guy when he's so sweet all the time? I'm so confused.

Keeping You is a contemporary standalone romance novella set in the world of Until Him/Her. You do not need to read the other books but there are easter eggs that can deepen your experience. The story follows Bridgett and Noah where Bridgett is seeking to rebuild her life after finally ending her marriage with her lying and cheating husband. She knows Noah as the best friend of her brother, Aidan, and when Noah offers her help after a string back luck, Bridgett sees something in him she has never had before. And she wonders if something more is possible...

Bridgett is a sweet female character that has optimism despite her struggles. She recognizes her faults and we get some of her backstory here that highlights how much growth she has experience after seeing the truth of her husband. Noah is a gruff character who's action speak louder. He has known Bridgett for a long time but always holds her at arm length. He feel protective and possessive but is unsure. He gave me the feel of the traditional male character that is sweet and strong. He knows when to act but also isn't afraid to show his feelings. Together they were adorable and so easy to love.

The book does contain spice. I would place it at 1 pepper out of 5 peppers as it is one scene and doesn't go into pages of detail. Their romance is a slow burn but I was living for it. I loved the growth and how it evolved and the spice capped it off beautifully.

"I've tried telling myself that I need to keep my distance."
"You should."
"It's too late." I laugh. "Look at where you are right now, babe, and tell me that this s*** doesn't feel right."

In terms of plot and story, this book is light. It is predominately character driven as Bridgett and Noah find their way towards each other. The premise is easy to follow and follows a traditional journey and I liked the sweetness and reliability this gives. The romance was cosy, the writing is smooth, and there is a good balance in plot momentum and character slices of life. You can easily devour this in a single evening and leave feeling good. I think my only critique is that I wanted more.

I thoroughly enjoyed me time with these characters and am eager to dive further into this series after the fact. If you love sweet contemporary romances with strong willed female characters and alpha males with cinnamon roll heart this book will give you exactly what you need!

Thank you the the author and 1001 Dark Nights for this ARC!

Keeping You by Aurora Rose Reynolds is my first experience with a 1001 Dark Nights novella and if they are all as good as this one, I will be back for more!

The novella follows Bridgett and Noah as they attempt to deny their attraction after being brought into close quarters for an extended period of time. Bridgett is going through a divorce from a gaslighting, narcissistic ex, and Noah is desperately trying to keep her at arms length since she’s his best friend’s sister.

Since it is a novella the plot moves very quickly. Bridgett and Noah already know each other, and the events that bring them together are set in motion from the first few pages. It’s a slow burn (relative to the length of the work), and so worth every moment. I loved watching these two fight their attraction only to finally lose the battle. The dual first person point of view is also done extremely well, helping keep you engaged in such a way that you could easily read this in one sitting.

I think I felt Bridgett in my soul the moment it became clear what sort of marriage she was leaving. She was labeled naive and sheltered by her soon to be ex husband and his gaslighting had her questioning her worth as a person. I can tell you first hand that men like her ex husband do exist, and you can escape them and find love and happiness afterwards. So, to experience Bridgett’s journey and see so much of my own there truly hit me on an emotional level.

I also adored Noah pretty much from the moment we’re introduced to him on the page. He is the solid, dependable, charming guy you would hope for in a story like this one. His chemistry with Bridgett is undeniable and they absolutely sizzle on the page.

Overall I gave this a 5 out 5 stars. There is some spice, but the scenes are short and not overly detailed, so I would say this one is for mature audiences with a 2.5 spice level. If you’re looking for a short read that will hook you from the start, I highly recommend Keeping You.

5 ‘You’re Worth It’ Stars

Awww… Talk about the PERFECT redemption story and a brother’s best friend with little sister at that! Noah and Bridgett were SO good together! Adored this delicious, sexy, and sweet little read!

Ms. Reynolds always, and I always, brings her A game to her stories, but this one just felt new and fresh in some way, but just as utterly addictive as usual.

We first met Bridgett and Noah in Until May, and we really didn’t get the best impression of her, but hey, looks can be deceiving, and that is definitely the case her. This novella stars after Bridgett split from her awful husband, and starting a new life away from all his and her mother’s negative influence. I loved how much this story was about independence and female empowerment, because Bridget turned out to be a fantastic character and person.

“Life is way too fucking short to live on someone else’s timeline, babe. Do whatever the fuck makes you happy.”

And Noah, he’s the perfect book boyfriend! Once he saw, like truly saw Bridgett and her effort to stand strong all by herself, he couldn’t – and wouldn’t – stay away, and I sure am glad. Loved these two together, couldn’t have wished for a better pairing! And to top it all off we got the most perfect of Epilogues!!! *heart eyes*

But I guess things have a funny way of working out for the best, even when you think you’re at your lowest.

I'd like to give this book 3.8 stars. It definitely wasn't a bad book, it was cute at times, i did smile and laugh. I honestly did enjoy it, it just comes down to preference. I like how the main character wants to be a better version of herself. She wants to become an independent woman and figure her shit out. But this poor girl has shit thrown at her left and right. I could predict some things. I knew she was going to end up being a roommate with Noah. At first, I didn't like him, mainly because I don't like bald men, but then he grew on me. I still feel like I don't know anything about him but it is a short book. I don't like it when people call each other babe or baby, but that's just my personal preference. I'm now realizing I never got to find out if he calls anyone else Babe or just Bridgett... 🤔 I have to know these things.
I really hated Conner, of course, that's the point, he was so over the top. A bratty rich baby man who still gets away with things he shouldn't. I think he should have gone to jail when he put his hands on her.
I did enjoy this book though, I thought it was going to be spicier but I feel it's for people who are just getting into adult romance. The ending did seem thrown together with her being pregnant. It just seemed like everyone was pregnant for some reason. It was sad how she was so emotionally damaged that she was so afraid Noah would be mad at her and think she was trapping him.
Hopefully, when they get married conner won't show up and try to ruin everything... I could see him trying to crash the wedding.

Keeping You is a 1001 Dark Night standalone set in the world of the Until Her/Him series by Aurora Rose Reynolds. It’s a captivating little brother’s best friend, friends to lovers romance story with a slightly forbidden vibe.

Bridgett’s been having a bit of a rough time recently, after discovering that her husbands been cheating on her she’s filed for divorce and moved into her brother’s old place, she’s also started working for her father within the family business whilst she tries to find her feet. Her soon to be ex is driving her crazy and nothing seems to be going right for her, one particular incident sees her cross paths with Noah, he’s been best friends with her brother since they were teenagers and now Bridgett’s on his radar he’s extending the hand of friendship towards her, just when she needs it most, even going as far as offering her a place to stay when her temporary living arrangements are compromised. Bridgett might have wanted to do things on her own but she’s thankful for the help and support Noah has given her, and as their friendship develops so does their relationship, the pair eventually give in to their growing attraction towards one another and things progress rather quickly for the two of them as they make their way towards the happily ever after they both deserve.

A perfect novella length story that packs a punch, Keeping You is one read you don’t want to miss out on.

As a fan of Aurora Rose Reynolds and her work, I was thrilled to received an ARC of Keeping You, a novella set in her Until Her/Him series. I was very happy to find that 1001 Dark Knights have added her to their fabulous community of authors. Although this is set in this world, it can also be read as stand alone.

Fans of this series my recognize the main characters, Bridgett and Noah. I was hoping for their story after reading Until May and I was not disappointed at all. Since this is a novella, it doesn’t go in too deep but you do get to know Noah and Bridgett very well. Not very spicy and only one love scene but it is mostly character driven.

After ending her marriage to a cheating and manipulative husband, Bridgett is struggling to reclaim herself and be an independent woman. Noah is her brother’s best friend and even though they have known each other for years, they haven’t ever really been around each other. After 2 tragic events, Noah offers her a place to stay and they get to know each other and their preconceived ideas of what the each other is like, goes out the window. Noah is a police office and very much a protector which he takes very seriously. He helps her find herself and find the confidence within.

Overall, this is a very sweet story with a hero and heroine who you can’t help but root for.

I really loved this book. My only complaint is that it was way too short and I wanted more!

Noah is a cop and Bridgett’s brother’s best friend. The two have not been on each other’s radar prior to them running into each other again when Bridgett is carjacked. Bridgett is in the process of getting a divorce from her cheating husband and she is trying to change from the selfish person she used to be. Things seem to be continually going wrong for Bridgett and Noah allows her to stay in his home. The two develop a relationship with each other.

I really loved this couple. I felt so bad for Bridgett and I was so glad that we were able to see her take charge of her own life. I am glad that we were able to see that even growing up she was lonely and alone but she interacted with the people that she could. It gave some insight into why she was the way she was, how she ended up married to her husband, and that she was not irredeemable.

I also just loved this couple. I was hoping to learn more about Noah as a person but I really loved how he acted toward Bridgett. I loved that he never judged her for her past and that there was no resistance from him when he started to have feelings for Bridgett. It made both characters so much better to me.

I would definitely read this book again. I absolutely loved it even though it was so short.

"I've tried telling myself that I need to keep my distance."
"You should."
"It's too late."

This novella has become the definition of a warm hug for me. As I have been in a contemporary small town romance feels lately this was perfect.

I absolutely adored Noah and Bridgett's dynamic. I am always a sucker for the brothers best friend trope and let me tell you this filled my cup right up. This was warm, fuzzy and exactly what my heart needed. Considering this was only a short novella, the character development we also got from Bridgett was great. From the way Noah was protective of her, how he was telling himself that he'd do this for anyone to how both of them were in denial of their chemistry and in a way trying to keep a distance from each but no matter how hard they both try that connection was just undeniable. Friends to lovers is a a trope that doesn't get talked about much but mix that with a bit of forbidden romance you have the perfect storyline.

This wasn't my first Aurora Rose book and it certainly won't be my last. I cannot recommend her writing more.

Once again thank you so much to 1001 Dark Nights Blue Box Press and Aurora Rose for this opportunity.

3.5 Stars
The last 2 books I read by this author weren't my favorite of hers. I was happy to see Keeping You was closer to the style of the ones I have loved. There was obvious chemistry between Noah and Bridgett, and it had ARR's insta-love feel, but it was almost a slow burn where her books are concerned. Which is surprising to say since this was a novella. There was a lot packed into this short romance. Bridgett was dealing with a nasty divorce and Noah was trying not act on his impulses where she was concerned due to his friendship with her brother. But in ARR fashion... BOOM! They were fated to fall in love. I guess my biggest complaint was that I wish this was a full-length romance so that I got more time with Noah and Bridgett, especially after they gave into their feelings for each other so I could really get behind them as a couple. I also couldn't decide how I felt about the timeline of the divorce, but that's something I guess I haven't thought about before to know my thoughts on it. Anyways. Don't let the 3.5 stars make you think I didn't enjoy reading this quick romance, I did.
