There is a lot happening in Merciless Spy. A LOT. I never felt like there was a slow moment, because it doesn't slow down. From beginning to end, there is action.
That cliffhanger has all my emotions in a twist. Hopefully the next book comes out soon because I need to see how things are going to resolve....more

Tara goes through A LOT of trauma throughout the first half of the book. She also goes through a lot of set backs, but with her men and friends by her side- she has all the support she needs and I just know she’ll be alright.
Nix had to redeem himself for a lot of things in this book. We can see how much he regrets his actions and now that he knows he’s made a mistake and knows that there’s a possibility of Tara never forgiving him- he’s allowed himself to be more vulnerable and open.
SO MUCH happens in Hate the Way You Lie. We learn a bunch of stuff (some things I did not see coming.)
But that cliffhanger?! Absolutely insane and I need the next book asap!!...more

I also loved how hard Freddie is trying to be the best man he can be. He has a pretty similar past to Emersyn and we can see how far he’s come.

Emersyn and her men are finally becoming closer. More secrets are revealed and they’re finally talking to each other (not 100%, but it’s a start.)
I really hope Doc and Emersyn can talk through their issues. I love them together and I really hope they kiss and make up soon lol.

Rogue and her men have been through so much. Their journey was not easy, but when they dealt with their issues and figured out what they wanted, they came together so beautifully. I feel like they’re the definition of soul mates.
I also loved the side characters (especially Mutt!) I’m really hoping we can learn more about Carmen and her men. These ladies have been leaving us bread crumbs and I NEED to know what’s going on.
I’m so sad this series is over. I’m going to miss these characters so much, but these author’s definitely did an incredible job with the ending....more

Ever since her Emerald Lakes series and I heard that this book was coming out, I didn’t even need to check the blurb. It was immediately a one-click for me.
