WHAT A GREAT BOOK YALL! I loved this one so much. The way Emma writes her sweet rom-coms is CHEF'S KISS. The characters have depth and you really grow to love them. I could NOT put this book down, it's one of my fav rom-coms now!
In this one we have Van, who is the bad boy image guy on the Appies hockey team. Amelia is getting married when Van finds her fiancé cheating on her. The wedding is broke off, but Amelia is going to go on her honeymoon trip anyway.... Van is driving her to the airport when her Dad asks him to go with her on the trip to keep her safe. The one rule? Don't get any romantic ideas....but Van can't help but fall for the Coach's daughter.....
This book has the BANTER, friendships, sweet romance and laugh out loud moments you want in a rom-com! Seeing Van and Amelia really get to know one another and fall in love was so great! The side texts with the guys and Van's sisters showing up was hilarious! LOVED those moments with them!
ALSO...CHAPTER 17!! TOOK ME OUT. I did not see how that way going to go and LOVE how Emma brought so much to this story from that!

We follow Miles and Ellie in this book. Ellie thinks golf is for the rich, pretentious jerks who need something to do while they gossip. She is not a fan! But the six-figure salary attached to the assistant to Miles, the youngest golfer to ever win the masters - she can't so no. Miles gives Ellie the job - with one rule, she can't fall in love with him. Easier said than done right?
Our girl Ellie is SASSY and the grump in the book! You really see her go through a lot of different emotions from not liking golf, being grumpy with Miles and just overall frustrations to some really sweet moments with Miles. Their banter was hilarious to me.
I loved seeing Miles stand up to his parents too in this. You can break those generational curses!
I like that Annah did this as a golf romance because you don't see that a lot out there! :)
Overall, Annah's writing is top tier and the more I read, the more I see that! Excited for book 3 in this series.

WOW, what a fabulous ending to the Love Trippin' Series! I absolutely have loved reading through this series this year. Filled with banter, great friendships, sweet romance and a great island setting, this series is everything I needed this Summer!
Reel Love follows Stevens and Alana -- one of my favorite couples now in the series! We see Stevens, a Marine Biologist and Alana, an Actress in Hollywood who play a word game online together without knowing they're chatting with one another. To him, she is SaturdayIslandGirl and to her he is Wordivore. They get to know one another through the app chatting back and forth with great banter! It's only a matter of time before their identities are revealed....
We see them meeting each other in situations in the book without knowing who each other is from the app - loved those interactions leading up to the big reveal!
If you love You've Got Mail like I do, pick this up. Their chatting back and forth was chef's kiss* and I loved their interactions, chemistry and banter! I loved the words they would put down too in their game, I laughed several times!
As always, being back on Marbella Island was a delight - seeing characters from the other books in the series was wonderful.
Alana's personal assistant, Brigette was HILARIOUS and Ben and all the other guys were cracking me up AS USUAL! I also loved that we got to see a glimpse into Savannah's future Tennessee Fireman Series to come in 2025!
Seeing Alana struggle to navigate through Hollywood life and truly realize what mattered most to her and trying to make decisions the best she could was good to see too.
Overall, HIGHLY recommend this series. It's been so great! Thank you to the author for a copy of the book to honestly read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Ali and her family are on this road trip for her brother's wedding. Ali rides with Theo, who she was crazy about when she was a teenager. Theo is her brother's best friend and feelings form along this wild, hilarious road trip!
I loved Ali because she was truly a strong, relatable and real character. We see her talk through the struggles with epilepsy over her life and her and Theo had great chemistry from the beginning. I loved he is her “comfort person” - just like my hubs is mine....more

I must read more of Annah's books! Loved the side characters too and look forward to more in this series of their romance stories.
In this one we follow Callum and Charlotte and they have to work together on a project - but the kicker is they do not get along. So we find an enemies to lovers workplace romance that makes you laugh and has all the cute romantic tension and banter that you want, without the characters being mean to one another.
Charlotte was SO relatable to myself and I love some of the southern references throughout the story too. We had some mentions too of God and prayer that I loved to see.
I tabbed so many things in this one and can't wait to continue in the series.

This was super cute ya'll! I love Emma's Rom-Coms, they just have this fun humor, banter and are cute, sweet romance stories you love! Marriage of convenience is one of my favorite romance tropes and this did not disappoint! We have Eli, who is about to be deported back to Canada because of his expired Visa, unless he can find a way around that issue by marrying someone.....and who better to marry than the girl he has an instant connection with, Bailey, who works at the animal shelter and dreams of becoming a Veterinarian. Eli really needs to stay with his family because his mother is chronically ill and they have finally found good treatment for her where they live.
Bailey is a bit shy, but has also been through a lot. Her parents passed away and she is left to take care of her grandmother who needs more long term care. The proposal of marriage from Eli would help her financially and he's a super cute hockey player, sooo why not?! Right?!
The marriage of convenience trope plays out and I absolutely adored it! I loved how they were really getting to know one another before things started to happen and the way Emma wrote it was chef's kiss! Eli was just this great cinnamon roll type guy that you just loved and he wanted to be there for Bailey no matter what.
Their banter made me giggle so many times and I love all the animal references, and adopted dogs. :) ALSO -- great found family in this with the side characters --- the wedding scene with the guys was my favorite! Plus, who couldn't LOVE Eli's Mom and Sister?! They were the best!
Let's talk about the narration: I LOVED the narrators! Honestly, you all know I am always listening to an audiobook because life is BUSY, and I am somewhat picky on my narrators now --- the narrators did a really awesome job of keeping you engaged so I highly recommend them! I will be on the lookout for any that they produce in the future for sure.
Overall, if you love cute, sweet, sports rom-coms, check this out! Thank you to the author for a copy of the audiobook to listen to and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

What a cute, enemies to lovers rom-com! This is book 2 in the Love Trippin' series but can be read as a standalone. In this one, we are back on Marbella Island in California and Summer is making a fresh start for herself there. Ben met her at the end of book 1 and now in book 2, we see their banter back and forth as "enemies to lovers". He is a red flag for her because he is too charming and comes off as a player - her backstory explains why she is so leery, which you learn about in the story as it goes along. She is a mermaid in a play, trying to get her acting career on the map, and now Ben has to be the lead as her "pirate love interest" in the play. How is this going to go?!
Overall, I had so much fun reading this. I laughed and laughed as I usually do in Savannah's books! I loved the beach details and setting and seeing characters from book 1 was great.
My only critiques are the book was a bit too long for me personally and I didn't love the way things ended with her Dad, but truly enjoyed the book and looking forward to book 3!

Aiden was the sweetest guy in this story - he is such a caretaker and hometown hero - loved him! Em was the perfect match for him too! In this story, we see Em (Mallory) crash her car near Aiden's goat farm after calling off her wedding and having a honeymoon by herself adventure. She has short term amnesia and is unable to remember who she is or why she is there in their small town of Bordeaux, Ohio. Aiden is helping take care of her while she recovers from the accident and the rest is history as sparks FLY!
This book will make you laugh and swoon left and right yall! We have so many funny scenes throughout the book and the characters truly feel like REAL people that you grow to know and LOVE. The more I read this series, the more I love these fictional characters and small town! Can it be real please?!
This cute clean rom-com will keep you laughing, smiling and swooning throughout the entire story! Highly recommend!

What a fun second chance - high school sweethearts rom-com! You will laugh SO many times while reading this and I think the audiobook was fantastic! Great small town setting with amazing friend groups too! The banter was hilarious and the situations they got themselves into make me crack up so much.
This features Rob and Laura who dated in high school but upon graduation, Rob broke it off to go to MIT for college. Skip to 6 years later when he is back in town and continues to run into Laura. Are they meant to be? Are things going to be the same as they were before? Is the spark still there? They start interacting and hanging out - and the sparks fly! The chemistry is off the page here and I loved seeing Rob trying to win her heart.
I think the pacing was just a tad slow for me at the start but once things picked up, I was INVESTED ya'll! I love these characters so much and can't wait for the next one!

Ya'll, I just absolutely loved this book. Book 1 was amazing. Book 2 is amazing. Courtney's Rom-Coms are the BEST! I love these feel good stories that have beautiful happy endings - exactly what I need in life right now.
I LOVE a good Grumpy/Sunshine trope and this DID NOT DISAPPOINT ya'll! I love Eloise and how she sees the good in everyone and has the most heartwarming personality. She truly exudes everything SUNSHINE and I absolutely love that! Meanwhile, Gray's grumpiness and the reasons behind it are sad and understandable, but loved seeing him open up along the way. Eloise really brought out the best in him and I loved that! I also LOVED the reveal / twist in this book. My favorite part that really made the story for me.
The story: Eloise sees her ex boyfriend/boss on New Year's Eve and doesn't want him to think she is all alone. With the encouragement of others, she kisses a stranger for the first time ever in an effort to make her ex jealous. Fast forward to this man being Grayson Hawke - the newest star of the Chicago Comets Hockey Team, recently traded and not happy to be there. The kicker? Eloise is hired to be Gray's assistant and help him warm up to Chicago and his new team. Can she change how he feels? The story kicks off here.
Overall, a great second book in the series. Loved seeing Poppy and Dallas too. You can technically read this as a standalone, but I recommend reading My Phony Valentine by Courtney first, as you get the best reading experience that way!

I was having a tough day over the weekend and picking this book up gave me all the happiness and fun I needed that day. It was the perfect light and fluffy read I needed!
Such a CUTE Valentine's sports romance read! Romance was clean!
This is all about famous hockey player Dallas Burke who bumps into restaurant owner and chef Poppy Hart. Dallas jumps right in with the situation of "fake dating" to help Poppy and the rest is history as a full fake romance ensures as his manager and meddling grandmother intervene since it would be a win-win situation to help Poppy's failing restaurant with the publicity and Dallas's bad guy reputation.
To sum it up - I just need to read all of Courtney Walsh's rom-coms now. 5 BIG STARS. ...more

How CUTE was this ya'll!? I really enjoyed this audiobook! If you love a good dual narration rom-com, this is one to pick up! Annah's writing is great and I loved the ending so much! Seeing our main guy take care of her when she was sick - *chef's kiss!*
This follows Shaw and Sutton - they are basically enemies to lovers in this book. He is her brother's best friend and she becomes the physical therapist for his hockey team. Let the rivals begin!
There was so much tension, banter and laughs in this one I really enjoyed. We do see a bit of Sutton holding on to a grudge probably a little longer than I usually like, but overall I really enjoyed the book. I also love that Shaw loved her first -- so great to see his POV.
As far as the narration, I loved both narrators. I felt like the guy really sounded like a Hockey player voice and did a great job. Dual narration is always great. No third act breakup.
If you love sports romance, pick this up! We had a lot of good hockey scenes too! Excited to continue the series :)

This book offers a charming, heartwarming, and wholesome Christmas tale that promises more joyous reads in the series to come. I definitely want to read more in this series during the next Christmas season. We have somewhat of this grumpy sunshine/enemies to lovers trope but it was more like banter back and forth than true enemies to lovers - which I really enjoyed! Claire and Liam are our main characters are the way this starts of is hilarious. Claire ends up on a fun trip to London with her friend, Melody, as her parents have basically left her alone this Christmas season. In comes Liam, Melody's cousin, who meets Claire in some funny circumstances a couple of times. They end up touring London together and the rest is history.
I loved seeing our characters deal with real life challenges and get to know each other in such a fun way with all the fun London things they did. We have some AWESOME nerdy references- such as Star Wars, Harry Potter, Poldark, Pride and Prejudice etc. Claire honestly reminds me of myself in a way! I didn't love how her friend Melody was portrayed with her relationships but she was a good friend either way to Claire.
I loved how the main couple here actually communicated too! Such a great Christmas rom-com!...more

While there were SO much in this rom-com I rThe Fake Out - Sharon Peterson - 3.5 Stars - Many parts I enjoyed, but many parts not so much. Let's chat!
While there were SO much in this rom-com I really enjoyed, there are some parts that fell flat. The storyline itself - great and very layered. The characters have a depth to them that make them feel relatable - specifically our main girl of Mae. (See more thoughts on that below.) But many of the quick one-liner pick up lines bothered me from a sexual content and language perspective - this will be personal preference to each person, but it did impact my reading experience a bit. Many of them were funny - I will admit - but there were maybe between 5 and 10 that bothered me personally. Overall, this is a clean rom-com from a sexual content perspective, with some things riding a fine line. There is mild language in this book and I searched the kindle book and will leave the content details on that at the bottom. I had a good time overall in this story, had some laughs and enjoyed the ending.
This story follows Mae Sampson, she is just trying to keep it all together between her job at the failing library to working other multiple jobs just to help pay the medical bills for her mother's stroke therapies. We see her struggles to "do it all" and that's where I felt she was very relatable - as someone who feels like they "have to do everything" but you really don't.
She meets Chris Sterns, a profession football player she finds asleep in her library one day. Chris is the ultimate guy with integrity - he cares so much about raising awareness for CHF - a heart disease his sister suffered from growing up. But there is a situation that occurs when he's found in a suggestive photo that isn't what it seams and the media is out to destroy his good name and his work with the charity is in jeopardy.
Chris decides to offer Mae an offer - $100,000 for a fake engagement to settle his image and she gets the money she needs for her mother's medical bills and can quit her second job at a "hooters" like establishment called "Chicky's". Things go on from here as they get to know one another and as usual, real feelings start to form. :)
Great premise - right?! I love a good fake dating story and the beginning of this was GREAT! I just found myself wrestling with some of the innuendos and pick up lines I didn't love so that took it down for me some. But the storyline with Chris, learning about his upbringing with his sisters and how genuine he was, and Mae, her Mom and sister, then her Dad comes in and that was WILD - it all just played out to be a good story.
Overall, I recommend to anyone who likes funny, clean, rom-coms and doesn't mind mild language or sexual innuendos / some questionable pick-up lines at the beginning of each chapter. :)
Content Warnings: Language - 14-15 D words, 14-15 H words, 4 JA words, 2-3 B words, 4 S words that I found. No F words. Clean from a sexual content perspective but I did not like the pick up lines about "crawling out of Hell" and "breaking Old Testament rules" the most, with some of the others being a bit much in the sexual innuendos. Chris and Mae sleep in the same bed, but nothing happens between them. They start a book club together and read a "spicy pirate romance" book so they mention some of the sex scenes in that book but it's not explained. Overall, the sexual content is going to be a personal preference to everyone but I wanted to mention this for your reference. ...more

I LOVED THIS YALL! I love a next door neighbor romance and to add the grumpy sunshine on top of this - chef's kiss*. This is book 1 in her But He's A Carter Brother series and I can't wait to read more!
The characters have been through some hard things in their lives which leave them a bit closed off to others or relationships. Seeing them get to know each other and really open up was absolutely beautiful. I loved seeing Adrian fall in love with Juliette most of all. His internal thoughts were my favorite. He started really opening up throughout this book, which was great to see. AND THE LETTER - don't get me started on how AMAZING that was! :) They had some cute nicknames too that I loved.
Such a cute, cozy rom-com with a lot of great small town elements such as a small town bakery, cookouts with families, bingo nights, fun sibling group chats, etc. I also LOVED the Mr. Darcy and other classic book references in this.
The romance was clean with kisses only - always appreciated! Highly recommend as an audiobook too because the narration was great, loved the dual narrators, they really sounded like what I thought the characters would sound like.
I am excited to continue this series because I loved this family so much!
