All of the characters in this story will add more depth to the events that Roswell is famous for, and bring Lucy and Boone’s journey full circle. While I adored the plot of this book, I can’t help but feel ‘slighted’ where Lucy’s father is concerned. The connection and journey for Lucy just felt not completed for me. Otherwise – Boone definitely stole the show in this unique and interesting love story.

Isaiah was a successful NFL pro, amazing parent, and held the poise of a man who knows what he wants in life. Victor was the complete opposite. A flamboyant dancer with an air for speaking his mind about the underdog. Two very different men that cannot fight an attraction that few experience in life.
The stubborn streak that both characters possessed added to the struggles in their relationship. A genuine heart felt union that explored the nuances of controversy, strong opinions, and finding that one true love.

This three possessed a bond that was unbreakable to the outside world…..until Everett left on his own adventure.

Five years has brought with it heartache and loneliness. Everett found himself traveling the world with Doctors Without Borders. What should have been a pleasure to save lives in other countries became a source of heartache for those that Everett couldn’t find a way to save. Now the past comes crashing down upon Everett when he learns that Aiden is no longer around. A fact that pushes Everett over the edge with his pain.
Drowning in sorrow, Everett decides to head back to the town that he once called home. With the intent of making amends in his heart, Everett quickly realizes that all of the demons from his past are harder to fight that he could have predicted. With Cameron so close, Everett knows that he must face abandoning his two best friends all those years ago.
Shame and heartache follow Everett on his path to come face to face with Cameron again. Invoking all of those feelings that he had for the one girl that he believed he was never quite ‘good enough’ for. Throwing all of the pain aside, Everett decides to face Cameron and all of the pain from the past. Emotions are raw and fractured between the two, but those feelings from their past sneak into their souls once more. *Sigh* I am such a sucker for the non-traditional romance. Why? The reason is probably because you don’t know where life will lead you, and romance is never perfect. Tara Sivec is one of my favorite authors where the untraditional is to be expected. Wish You Were Mine was the perfect addition to this type of trope.
How can friendship crumble apart ? Easy…..add together secrets and some bull headedness, and then you will discover that even a deep friendship can shatter with ease. Everett and Cameron know all too well how ignoring their feelings lead to loneliness and heartache. Now - they are faced with a loss that is greater than they can bear alone. Time and tragedy will bring them together once again.
Now to the ‘grit’ of the story…..I found parts of the story a bit rushed for my taste. I have to be honest; I was not familiar with the author Pamela Kelley. The cover to the Seaside Sisters along with the blurb tempted me to take a dive into the unknown. What I expected was a book of second chances, strengthening family bonds and a discovery of finding one’s self when facings life’s challenges. However – the book fell short of delivering on the premise of fulfillment.
There are multiple POV’s, the most distracting of which was that of the girls aunt. The relationships in the book seemed ‘off’ for lack of a better description. The dates in the book and the male interactions were lacking connection and seemed a bit glossed over. The novel does explore life’s ups and downs, but it lacked the connection one would expect from a romance about finding your place in life.
With that said, the book was okay. There was no connectivity between the three separate POV’s and very little interaction between all three women. This beachy read does give several HEA’s, but this book would not make it on my list of rereads that captured my whole heart....more

As childhood sweethearts, the two cross paths again after lots of years have passed. Madelyn has had a horrible marriage fall apart. She also has a son that is the focus of her life. As Kyle and Madelyn slowly open the doors to learning more about each other, it allows a second chance a love to sneak in the back door.
I loved the way these two characters had obstacles to overcome before they could find a second chance at romance. Facing the hurdles of parenthood and being a stepparent, Kyle and Madelyn were still able to find a way to put each other as a priority. Let me start by saying I am a sucker for a great thriller. When I heard Vi Keeland was dipping her toes into the genre, I couldn’t wait to dive in. As I was pulled into Meredith’s life, I found myself studying the nuances of events that led me down an unexpected rabbit hole of intrigue. An unraveling of Meredith’s life lays out before your eyes, but there are unexpected twists after twists.
I was completely vested in the plot of The Unraveling. To be completely honest – I did figure out the ‘aha’ moments prior to the end of the book. While I am a bit of an ‘old timer’ to the genre, I still found myself waiting to see the events unfold through Meredith’s reality. This was a fantastic book for those exploring the ‘thriller’ genre and for those with a bit of experience with this type of book. Vi Keeland surprised me with the way she eased into the genre so seamlessly. I cannot wait to see what Keeland pulls from her writing cave next. In fact, I read the book in one sitting. I couldn’t get enough of these two characters. It is hard to believe that the book is only about 275 pages. What I can say is the story is packed with everything that makes Devney Perry’s writing the constant in a sea full of novels. Haven River Ranch is going to be one series you don’t want to skip. Together they lead readers on an adventure of sorts that will have an ending that relates to the real world today.
While I found myself anticipating this ‘road trip’ more often than not, I wanted MORE from that ending. These characters carried readers down a road of discovery in a way that left me longing for much more than what I found in that last chapter. Every Time I Go On Vacation, Someone Dies is the first book in The Vacation Mysteries series by Catherine Mack. It was a witty and clever take on a ‘cozy’ mystery. I found myself drawn to the blurb to try to escape the huge reading ‘funk’ I have been in lately. The cast of characters was entertaining and the novel certainly had a very unique plot. However – I found myself distracted and often annoyed at the layout of the book. There were footnotes littered throughout the novel. To take in all the nuances attributed to the footnotes, I found myself flipping pages and trying to keep up with the notations. It quickly became more of a chore than I bargained for. Had the footnotes been absent in the novel, I believe I would have connected more with the story. It was too distracting for my tastes in reading!!...more

Now that we got a little housekeeping out of the way….readers of the Frozen Fate series were left with quite a cliffhanger after delving into the first book of the series. Cage of Ice and Echoes picks up where book one stopped as we follow Frankie and the fellas through the perils of the Alaskian wilderness. I have to say I was glued to my reader once again following the perils of the characters.
Pam Godwin knows how to deliver the twists and turns!! Monty’s search for Frankie takes center stage in the second book of the series and readers will find things are never as cut and dry as they seem. While readers slowly learn of how Frankie came to be kidnapped, they will also uncover years of family secrets. The details surrounding those secrets will lead you into an intricately woven web that will pull you further into the darkness. Each time readers have an ‘omg’ moment, another can be found waiting around the corner.
As with ANY Pam Godwin book I place in my hands, I was captivated from the details and intricate secrets woven into the plot. How will things end for Frankie and Monty?? Only time (and the third book) will give readers the details they so desperately need.
Final note – the author has given MULTIPLE content warnings for the series. READ THEM!! If you can’t handle extremely dark reading then drop the book before opening the cover. Don’t complain AFTER you read it. You were warned in the very beginning!! ...more

Daddy P!!! Learn Your Lesson is THE book that Kandi Steiner fans have been waiting for!! Will Perry and his broody mannerisms are the perfect match for Chloe. I found myself absorbed in Will and Chloe’s story. The attraction between these two characters along with their ‘family dynamic’ kept me rooting for the duo to finally seal the deal. Ava was a wonderful addition to the characters that have been present throughout this series. As I absorb all of the nuances of this book, I can’t help but get excited at the prospect of Alek’s story!!
