First we have Halen Hayes. Daughter of the notorious Bishop Hayes. And she is a daddy's girl through and through but she is also one mother fucking badass. She will stake her claim in the family business and trust me no one will stand in her way. She won't let them. She also might need to remind them sometimes… I loved her character. I mean that twist in the end I was literally on the edge of my seat!! (As per all of Amo Jones' twists let's be fucking real). But OMG this book was worth it for her alone! I would read a full book with only Halen's comebacks I swear to you! The legit sound that was playing in my head was - "walk him like a dog sis walk him like a dog."

And then we have War Malum. OMG. Amo Jones can write dark heroes. But each time I get punched in the gut by a new one and he takes up %99 of my brain capacity I swear to you and War is no different! As his name suggests he is violent and chaotic and don't we just love that! His relationship with Halen is confusing in the best way!! BTW he will not apologize so do not expect it but holy fucking shit people! I cannot express to you in words how much this man took up my entire thought process thank you very much!

H.D. Carlton makes an amazing experience with this book that pulls you right back into the "Cat & Mouse" world while setting up Cage and Molly in their own world entirely. And let us not forget the pigs because literally slay.

Anyways, this book was like an action movie for me with amazing smut which is what every action movie is missing honestly imo. I mean the pigs alone are iconic. Seeing the flashbacks from Molly's POV and having the current timeline with Cage and everything gives us a really rounded idea of Molly Devereaux (which is hard to do in around 200 pages) but H.D. Carlton does it in an amazing way!

I fell in love with Molly so fast. Same goes with Cage. TBH they have a really cute "how did you meet" story ngl. Also the hotel thing!! I mean I am obsessed with that because the lengths Cage will go to for Molly AHHHHH it's just addicting to read.

Also side note the scene in the extended epilogue between Addie, Zade, Cage and Molly was everything!! Because the fact that both their written pieces helped the other made my heart so happy honestly and it was a stroke of genius so yes thank you for that!!

This is one of the most bittersweet reviews I think I will write. "The Alliance" has become one of my favorite series of 2023. If not my favorite series. And it is all thanks to S.J. Tilly. From Nero, to King and Dom, and now Hans. I love this universe. I love these characters and Hans is no exception. Because OH MY FUCKING GOD THIS BOOK!! THIS MF BOOK WAS EVERYTHING!! THE ONES WHO KNOW THEY KNOW AND THE ONES WHO DON'T TRUST ME YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!

First we have Cassie. And S.J. Tilly proves once again that plus size badasses are the most fun FMC to read (I will take no objections). I mean her baking for him each time, caring for him, and then the possessiveness!! I was here for it, I was here for all of it!! You have this fluffy bubbly girl with a backbone and that is exactly what I needed!! Plus her relationship with Hans was just amazing!! This butterfly has a backbone trust me (as Hans would say -> continues to giggle profusely.)

And moving on to the man of the hour. This wait was so worth it!! Hans has quickly risen up the ranks and has become my new obsession because I will be thinking of this man for months to come and you can place your bets on that because OMFG the fact that he eats everything she touches and makes. Do not lower your standards people!!! And the Butterfly!!! I was melting! I was actively melting throughout this book and I am not apologizing!!
