The h was brilliantly written. She is independent, strong and a fighter. I really loved her character. The H was sexy as hell. He was a bit of a d*ck to the h at the start of the book, but is was understandable. He soon turned out to be my version of my HEA; juuuust right!
The h’s condition and that not so hidden fear that permeated the story is one that so many of us can relate to. I just wish every woman facing challenges like that and living with that fear had the same HEA.

Betsy was half in love with Carlos when she heard him tell a journalist that it was just a fling. Hurt and angry, she left him a nasty note and left for the day. When she returned he was gone and she was pregnant.
Sometime later in a small, sleepy village, that same journalist saw her with her sone who look exactly like his daddy. Unbeknownst to her, he writes an article about Carlos’ love child that so enraged Carlos that he jumps in his private jet, and heads down to said sleepy village to confront the woman who sold her story to the tabloids.
Surprisingly, the child is his. He forces poor Betsy to abandon everything and everyone she knows and move to Spain where he will marry her for the sake of their bebeh.
Overall, an ok read. Lots of angst from both characters. Awful parenting by both characters parents but it will all turn out beautifully.

Reading this book was a meandering walk along a cool, wooded path. It was relaxing and so very enjoyable.
The characters were interesting. The relationship between the main characters was a lovely slow build. Even the antagonist was, if not likable, understandable. I viewed her as someone on the spectrum. It would explain her personality or lack of one.
The just of the story is of a young woman learns that as a newborn she was abandoned by her birth mother on a cold morning in the moors wrapped only in a sheepskin blanket. Fortunately the baby was found by a couple locals and saved.
She was adopted by a couple who turned out to be a wonderful father and a somewhat cold and distant mother. At seventeen her father dies and she learns the full truth about how she was abandoned.
It took years, but she finally went back to the village where she was born in hope for finding her birth mother. There she opens a tea shop and learns so much more about herself. And finds family in absolute strangers.
It took me a few days to finish the book but I’m so glad I did. The ending wasn’t much of a surprise and the HEA left me smiling happily. ...more

Scarlett’s family is the equivalent of a massive dumpster fire! They are the most f-ed up people. And she kept taking care of them and feeling guilty when they made irrational demands. No wonder she suffered from postpartum after giving birth. Her sister Ellie is a special kind of byotch. I wanted her to cut all ties, but the author decided otherwise. She’s nicer than I am.

The h and H spent one Magic night together before the H’s world fell apart. A few weeks later, the h shows up at his office with news of her pregnancy.
The H does the guy thing and questions the paternity. The h was a virgin on the night the hit together. After insulting her, he tells her he has to leave for an important and to wait for him.
She bounced! And did a damn good job disappearing. A year later, she shows up with her infant son. She has come to claim the inheritance that the H’s father left her. She gets insulted by the H’s sister and realized that she doesn’t want this bs in her son’s life. She tries to leave but is stopped by the H.
There’s drama. Arguments. And unpleasantness. Until there was sex. Then all goes well. Until it doesn’t. Then things fall apart.
Until the H mans up and finally fixes it. And HEA.
The letter in the epilogue was wonderfully sweet and the perfect ending.

The h wakes up in hospital after an accident and doesn’t know who she is. She recognizes the man that is there with her, but doesn’t understand how he could be her husband when she only met him a few days ago.
The H is absolutely disgusted by the h’s pretense of a sweet innocent, who has lost her memories and is so confused. Especially after what she has put him through. The only problem is that he’s all of a sudden extremely attracted to her when he couldn’t stand her for the past four months.
There was a pretty predictable “twist” to the story towards the end. What made it so predictable was the H’s immediate attraction to the h when he first met her, then the drastic dislike/ disgust he felt towards her when she showed up in his life to trick, and a total attraction again when he found her in hospital. Shouldn’t that have rang a little bell somewhere in his brain? I mean, the man’s supposed to be brilliant.

I adore the relationship building between the characters. Alexis, Kieran, his Six, Bria Daisy and Mordecai have become a family. They are all fighting the same battle and will come out winners.
I love the camaraderie that has between the Six and Alexis’ family. The meals that they all share together. The laughter, training, support that is shared. It feels real. Organic. They way a real group of oddballs would become family over dinners shared and disagreements. I think this is my favorite part of the book/series. I hope it continues throughout.

I adored everything about Ragnar. Even his robotic like personality. His reasoning for shutting down his emotions when he did was completely understandable, if annoying af!
Lottie made him have all the feels though. She heated that cool boy up and he didn’t know how to deal with it. She was also such a great character. I could totally relate to her.
The book was truly based on these two characters attempting to work out their differences and create a relationship for their child. Spoiler: it’s harder than it sounds. :D

The h, Ellie, was dumped by her boyfriend Gareth when he met the daughter of the owner of the company they worked for. Gareth had illusions of grandeur and the boss’s daughter was the quickest way to achieve them.
When Ellie needed a date for the company holiday party, her brother, a real sweetheart, asked his boss, Patrick to accompany her. Much to Ellie’s horror. However, the situation got complicated and she decided to go to the function with Patrick.
That was the beginning of their relationship. Romantic at times, but built of a shaky foundation with lots of insecurities on both ends.
I have to give props to Patrick for not giving up and fighting for what he wanted. Literally.

A year later, Holly has been happily living in Switzerland, when Stavros shows up at her door. She’s had his baby and he wants his child. And maybe, Holly too.
Stavros was a butt throughout the book. It was somewhat understandable because of the trauma he survived, however, it just became too easy for him to hide behind.

The h was wonderful. The H’s family was big, loving and wonderful. But he distanced himself because they wanted his time, not his money, and he just didn’t understand that. He wasn’t being cold or cruel, he’s just built differently.
The h did all she could to try and salvage her marriage. The H didn’t want it fixed because it was inconvenient. He needed a clear head for work and marriage cluttered it up.
This was a really great read. Sometimes walking away from the person you love is the only option. ...more

Thanks to the kindness of her boss she was given a place to stay and a way to earn money to prepare for the birth of her child. The boss’s husband was a total prick. Glad he got what he deserved.

The H, Alessandro didn’t react the way I would and thanks for that or we wouldn’t have a story to tell. It wasn’t a fabulous story, but it was a well written, well told story with really likable main characters.
My only complaint was that there was no real punishment for the villains. I wanted them to pay for what they did. The H was a bit too forgiving. I expected that from the h not the H.

I really enjoyed the author’s descriptive writing style. She just seemed to bring the story to life for me. I also loved her characters. She really brought them vividly to life.
Stella and Dante both carried the weight of soul crushing guilt. As the story progressed, Stella learned to forgive herself and come to terms that the guilt was not hers to carry. Dante, on the other hand, wrapped his guilt around him like a protective layer.

Things don’t turn out as expected, and comes to a head. This leads to the H facing up to his past and his inner demons and leads to the HEA we all love.
