Mustard is great, mayo is awful, seafood's always the better choice, etc. My initial feeling was slight frustration that there was really no actual content here that I was going to gain anything from. But lo and behold, while listening to this book I had breakfast potatoes and instead of reaching for ketchup or cheese I found myself putting salsa on them. And they were quite satisfying! All of the advice was general tidbits that have already been hashed and rehashed a thousand times. There was no new information to give this book value. And right when I was thinking I might give it two or three stars because at least it confirms that struggling with weight is a common issue that you shouldn't be ashamed of, the afterward occurred in which the author proceeds to sell you on a million of his own websites, programs, and getting you to follow him on social media. I really struggled to do that here. In fact, I'm not sure I found anything in this book that I will be able to take forward with me. Granted my workout and eating habits are pretty solid. But I still found no study or theory or even motivational idea that was unique and useful after reading this book....more
