Patience was a heroine I liked immediately. As this is written primarily from her point of view, it was easy to connect with her. When Brodie confronts her at one point, she didn’t hesitate to let him have it, and I love that she was confident enough to do so in the face of a man many would find intimidating.
While we didn’t get a lot of Brodie, there was enough there to understand that he liked what he saw in Patience. He’s definitely got that protective alpha hero vibe going which is always a win in my opinion. Watching him pay the price after making a colossal mistake was pretty fun.
Although this was not heavy in drama, it still had plenty of mystery and suspense driving the story forward. The chemistry between Patience and Brodie was clearly evident, but their relationship really didn’t have enough time or opportunity to take off until the end. This is a fast, short read perfect for a quick break or something between longer reads.

I love a grumpy hero and Kyran was not only grumpy, he was on the quiet side and he couldn’t take his eyes off of Lucie. Add in the fact that they were neighbors and you’ve hooked me completely!

This was such a fun story. I loved how their relationship evolved along with the trickling of suspense and mystery interwoven through it. The steam between Kyran and Lucie was nuclear and their personalities were perfect together. This has everything I like in a romance despite being short in length. I would have loved more from this couple, but was satisfied with what I was given.

Audio-book: Narrators – This has three audios, each with two different male and female narrators. I found them all to do a great job of both male/female voices. I was definitely pulled into the stories by the strong characterizations these narrators provided. I did struggle on the last book as the hero in it had an accent that didn’t quite work for me but otherwise everything else regarding the narration was perfect.
This is one hot trilogy of novellas whose sole purpose is pure erotica in a very naughty way. All older men and younger women, some daddy kink as well as just pure out and out dirty sex is the primary focus of this audio-book. These all have over the top alpha heroes who want to claim their virgin heroines immediately upon first sight. Each of them are the jealous, protective type. The first and third heroes are completely obsessed with the heroine and one went to great lengths to get her into his possession. Each story has just a bit of a plot to it but they all give a very, very nice and sweet epilogue that made me wish there had been more to the story itself. I do love a good epilogue.
I personally love these type of alpha heroes and plan on checking other books by this author in hopes of finding a full length one with more of a storyline.

Georgia was such a feisty fireball. She really had the gift of revenge although it never seemed to quite hit its mark which added a level of humor that had me grinning throughout most of the book. Dominic was her main target and I quickly fell in love with him because he found her just as amusing as I did.

This is a no to low angst read with not only a wonderful hero and heroine, but secondary characters that added to the laugh out loud moments. I’m looking forward to more from them.

Not only did the danger and drama capture my attention and keep it, the evolving relationship between this couple had me loving everything about them. This author always manages to create believable characters and with the addition of family as well as the struggle to get back to each other, I found this to be an exceptional novella!
I went into this without reading anything about it. No blurb, teasers, or reviews. And holy Thanatos! I wasn’t prepared for it. At all.

This is a fast read that has the feel of a more girthy book. Clementine is such a sweet heroine. I connected with her immediately. Her relationship with Thanatos warmed my heart even though I was eventually broken by their story. I will say that this is the first book with this type of ending that I found to be uplifting even as my eyes filled with tears.

I absolutely LOVED this novella! Nerds, when done right are my JAM!!!
Theo was bullied throughout life due to his stutter. Students at school were cruel but he learned how to deal with his tormentors in his own way. My heart hurt so much for him! There is nothing worse than feeling isolated and singled out and children can sometimes be the cruelest.
As an adult he has gained a certain amount of confidence largely due to his ability to control a good portion of his stutter. But when he’s confronted with Addy he loses that control. She’s so beautiful and she wants to date him! As a virgin with very little dating experience, his excitement and happiness over this development is overshadowed with fear. Thank you best friend Demi for being there for him!
Addy is just trying to finish up her last semester at Cornell so she can get on with her life. She’s done the dating thing and the boys she’s ended up with were more interested in frat parties than her. However, when she lays eyes on Theo she is immediately drawn to him. His nerdy goodness just attracts her more and being the modern day woman she is, she asks him out on a date.
I loved these characters so much! Theo was the perfect geeky hero with his love of comics, his glasses and his sweet stutter. Addy was outgoing and secure in who she was and the perfect complement to him. I loved the way her acceptance of all things Theo helped him to grow even more in confidence.
Together, Addy and Theo just worked. He needed a woman who wasn’t afraid to take the initiative and she needed someone who saw her and enjoyed being with her. Their relationship evolved in a very organic and really sweet way. Their dates were unusual and perfect for them as individuals and as a couple. I enjoyed watching them grow closer, learning about each other while respecting one another along the way. I loved the feeling of “courtship” their early relationship carried with it.
I can be extremely critical of novellas because most can’t carry the full range of emotions making everything feel rushed. However, Nerdgasm had the perfect pace and character development that a full length book would have and I loved every moment of it. It was full of so much goodness mixed with humor and some intense steam. The secondary characters were amazing! I absolutely MUST have their story immediately! Other than a tiny bit of conflict at the end and the initial bullying in the beginning, I would consider this a low angst read.
Overall, this book was absolutely wonderful!!! It’s the perfect lighthearted feel good read. I highly recommend it!

I loved the different sides of Hallie that made Trent fall fast and hard for her. So freaking cute and delicious. The band of brothers around him with all their unique “talents” captivated me, sending my mind reeling and hungry for more.

This introduced new areas of this world since the fall and I was taken with the idea that there were places that had not been overseen. That really opens this series up for potentially more drama and excitement. This is definitely one of my favorite series and it just keeps getting better.
This can be read as a standalone and does not end with a cliffhanger.

I like the way this heroine can’t seem to stay out of the middle of any murder that takes place in her community. She has her own way of finding answers and while her ex wants her to stay out of things, he can’t help but key in to any clues that she finds.
Once more, I was unable to identify the killer prior to the reveal. I was shocked when it happened and thrilled that this author caught me off guard. There were several times when the danger level amped up and this heroine found herself in a tricky situation.

With a cast of eclectic characters and a hero that has me anxious for him to just make his move already, this kept me engaged from the first page.

I loved that Noelle and Brady had both cared for each other through the years but neither really recognized it with the other. There had been that one time that something almost happened but since then, nothing. With danger lurking behind Noelle, Brady has decided it’s time to step up and protect his best friend’s sister.
I loved that while this is a brother’s best friend/best friend’s sister trope, that fact doesn’t cause a lot of angst between Noelle and her brother. There was a moment when things got real between him and Brady and I loved every moment of it. Brady was the type of hero I crave and Noelle was a heroine that could meet him full on. Together, they lit up the pages of my Kindle and had me cranking the heat down and the a/c up.
For a novella, this was a full story with not only a hero and heroine that shine, but secondary characters that added even more to my enjoyment. The danger and drama was just enough to keep me engaged and I hated to see the end. However, the author added a link for a bonus scene and it ended up being the perfect item on my Christmas list I didn’t even know I wanted.

I loved that Rafe drove Julianna crazy simply by being in her orbit. His attitude towards her determined that she was going to stay far away, emotionally, even if she couldn’t distance herself physically.. This was so much like the little boy that dunks the girl’s hair in the inkwell. We all know what he’s really saying. Without ever having Rafe’s point of view, it was obvious what he felt. That made this all the more exciting.
The house party atmosphere was wonderful as it gave the activities a feel of another time and place without losing the contemporary attitude of the characters. Watching Rafe and Julianna deal with meddling grandmothers as well as their own feelings was pure perfection. When you add in the Christmas cheer, this made for a fun, smexy way to start my own holidays.

Ari’s and Mac’s story had me giddy with excitement, but also heartbroken, hopeful, angry, anxious and deliriously happy to the point of tearing up at the end. That’s when you know you’re seriously attached to a group of individuals that only exist in the pages of a book and you don’t care because you will cheer for them and cry with and for them as though they are a part of your real family.

This addition to the series didn’t carry the mystery as long as the other books. It was obvious who was to blame and what had more than likely happened. The conflict was trying to find him. The situation surrounding him was nail biting and I found myself more anxious by this ending than any of those previously. This had just a touch of romance but it was super sweet and had the perfect “aww” moment.

Either I’ve gotten used to this narrator, or she’s adjusted the inflection she gives to the voice of some of the characters. I was very pleased with this narration as I did not hear the cadence in her voice rise up and stay that way when the situation did not warrant it. Instead, I was completely caught up in the story and while it certainly wasn’t a performance that wow’d me, it didn’t make me want to stop listening. Win!
Another great little mystery that took me by surprise. This is a fast paced story and can be read or listened to within a couple of hours. I enjoy the main characters and always try to guess who the guilty person is. I’ve been unsuccessful each time.
This had a bit more storyline to the romance taking place between Tessa and Logan but the heat level is non-existent. Overall, I’m enjoying each of these books as a quick diversion in between lengthier reads/audios.
I was hoping the publisher would have used a different narrator for this book as it is written in a different Audiobook: Narrator - Christine Williams
I was hoping the publisher would have used a different narrator for this book as it is written in a different heroine’s point of view. This is Tessa and she sounds exactly like Cate. All the other characters sound like her as well. I still struggled with the cadence the narrator used with so many of the voices. I’m a lenient reader and listener and can usually get past anything that bothers me but I’m really struggling with this narrator.
Tessa’s issue with caring for her mother added a level of angst I didn’t expect. The mystery had its own bit of angst but nothing compared to Tessa and her mother. My heart almost shattered from her struggle as I’ve been there myself.
This was another story that I did not see the ending or the person responsible. I love the surprise ending and enjoyed the story as a whole despite its close feel to the first book. These two authors have written these so cohesively it feels as though they are written by the same author. Perhaps the fact that they are each a novella adds to that feeling. Nevertheless, I liked this story and can’t wait to see more in the series.
