Eve’s character was strong but had a softness to her. She was able to endure but also able to do what was required to help Cain and battle their way to their happy ever after. I loved how she was determined to help Subject Thirteen despite being afraid of him.
Cain was definitely a bit frightful before I got to know him. His abilities were startling and had me flying through the pages to learn everything. The fact that he claimed Eve as his own and was determined to protect her above all else had me swooning with delight. But oh my, when it came to the end…he leaped onto my list of favorite heroes.

This couple shows the reason I read romance. Watching them work around their issues, which included battling some seriously bad, bad guys, kept me enthralled from beginning to end. Add in all the action, drama and danger as well as enough angst to have me tearing up, and this book is perfect!

As with the previous books, this book took me on a ride that had my heart racing from one page to the next. I never knew what was coming and found myself rocked by the twists and turns this author gave me. Every word gave me the most intense reading experience to be had. This is paranormal romance on a level I’m not accustomed to.
Az is a hero I, initially, wasn’t sure I could ever get behind. Finding Jade brought to light for him everything he had been missing and it was thrilling to watch him fall in love. I appreciated that Ms. Eden did not make him a cliche by changing his personality but rather added to his appeal by keeping so much of him the same as he had always been except with a deeper understanding of his emotions.
I know that we have one other book in this series and I’m anxious to get to it. However, there are so many other characters and threads that I could see spinning off of this. Fingers crossed.
This was rich with excitement and danger as well as a relationship that had me gasping, crying, and cheering for the bad guy.

Sammael is not your typical hero but then again, Seline is not your typical heroine. That fact was quickly obvious and snagged me within a few pages. This author is known for amazing characters but she took it to a whole new level with this couple. They kept me guessing as to the what, when, and how. Their story is intricate and I found it impossible to gulp it down but instead savored each morsel.
With a fast pace, this had secondary characters that intrigued me, a storyline that had twists and turns I never saw coming, and enough steam to make my Texas summer feel downright chilly. This can be read as a stand alone but is even better if you’ve read the first book in the series, Angel of Darkness.

This story took me by surprise with all of its layers. Each one building the tension and adding to the overall richness of the plot and its ultimate conclusion. I was totally consumed and found myself being pulled further in with each turn of the page.

Zinnia and Morse (Death) are a couple that I will not forget easily. Their evolving relationship ran me through my whole gamut of emotions. I found this a tangle of heartwarming, heart aching and heart wrenching, making me smile, swoon and not just cry, but sob my heart out! Without a doubt, this is my top favorite read.

This is a fast read that has the feel of a more girthy book. Clementine is such a sweet heroine. I connected with her immediately. Her relationship with Thanatos warmed my heart even though I was eventually broken by their story. I will say that this is the first book with this type of ending that I found to be uplifting even as my eyes filled with tears.

Xavier was the perfect hero to star in this fairy-tale and I was a goner to his bad boy ways. I loved the way Mercy saw only the good in his monster. Watching him fall for her and fighting with his instinctive nature was a wonderful experience.

This is a fast read, relatively short, but gave me all that I could hope for in a longer book. While this had plenty of danger and drama, there was enough angst to cause a lump in my throat and a struggle not to cry. I’m excited at the potential for future books in this world and can’t wait to see what this author gives us.

This series introduced Hope, Paxton and Drake when they were children. Through each book, a little more information was given about them and the tension escalated as to what their ultimate roles would be. Especially Hope’s. I admit, I’ve loved this story arc and I’m disappointed that it’s over. It seems too fast. I wanted more of them as children/teenagers/young adults.
Nevertheless, this trio is grown and it’s time that their destinies play out. I never imagined it going in this direction and I was enthralled with each turn of the page. Once the relationships settled themselves down, the question of Ulric, and Hope’s place in it all took center stage. And then BAM! This author took the resolution into a way I never imagined and I absolutely LOVED it!

Constantine is the commander of warriors who have fought a long and hard war. He has always kept his eyes on his promised prize. Delphine. I loved that his reaction to her was the fast and furious swelling of want, desire and need. While he battled against his own internal conflict, he never wamted his issue with her father to affect his actions with her in a hurtful way.
Delphine was young in experience but more than willing to learn anything Constantine wanted to teach her. And if he wasn’t going to do it, she’d teach herself. I loved her innocence, her natural naivete and the way that her simple curiosity brought him to his knees.
This couple lights up the pages and yet retains its feeling of sweet innocence. There is a dark edge of danger as well and all of it together pulled me into this new and amazing world. I didn’t want it to end and I’m anxiously awaiting the next in the series.

Death wasn’t messing around and his back and forth with Lazarus was at first intense misery as they battled each other before slowly morphing into beautiful agony as her feelings began to change. And yet Death was still bound by his mission.
I liked how the previous horsemen played a role in the steps that Lazarus took. She was the perfect counterpoint to Death and the very thing he needed to learn about life. His fall into humanity was excruciating at times as this story kept my emotions running high. I would have never thought I would root for a hero that was the opposite of life and love to the extent he was and yet he had a way about him that had me falling for him. He was a bit naive and actually had a romantic heart at times.
Overall, this series was definitely one of the top series I’ve ever read. I loved the very nature of the storyline, the fact that these are heroes that I would never expect to cheer for and should probably never gain redemption. And yet here I am. Happy, content and a bit sad that it’s all over. So glad I chose to dive in.

Famine, the third book in The Four Horsemen series is just as raw and gritty as the previous two but carries its own unique flavor that left my heart pounding, my eyes wet with tears, and my expectations more than met.

I loved Ana so much! She was a scrappy fighter, strong and determined, and despite how she's had to live her life her heart is soft and warm to the humanity that Famine is destroying. Her ability to stand up to him had me cheering her on even in the face of those moments when it might have been wiser to step down.
Famine was just as bad-@$$ as his brothers. However, there was an additional edge about him I was not expecting that made me cautious as to how far he would go. I loved that this author created him in a way that made me both love and fear him.

There is a bit of a love triangle going on that I’m not a fan of, but it’s handled early enough in the book to help me focus my mind on who the hero was ultimately going to be. I loved how that relationship solidified itself and was content by the book’s end.

I loved Selene! She’s the type of heroine I can totally get behind. Strong, confident and feisty, she’s also struggling due to an issue with her magic. I was constantly worrying about her each time she cast a spell. I wanted to mother her into reconsidering when she used it. I couldn’t help but try to predict what was going to happen next in the story and each time I was completely wrong. She’s definitely a unique heroine.
Memnon gave me shivers. He was a dark and dangerous presence before he was fully embodied and looking for revenge. Built like a dark god and with immense power, he’s a force to be reckoned with. There was no way Selene could hold her own against him. He really knows how to woo a girl though, despite her determination to keep him away. He kept me on edge as to what his next actions were going to be.
This is layered with so many smaller storylines that pulled me in and kept me engaged. I loved all the mystery, the uncertainty, and the overall feel of impending doom that effortlessly flowed through the story. It’s a longer book but was over way too fast and ended with a cliffhanger, dang it! How did I not know that? Nevertheless, I’m in it for the duration!

And learning the answers to them was the best part of all. Filled with twists and turns and danger on a level unlike any I’ve read before, I was totally consumed with this book.
While Harlow was more than capable of taking care of herself, Aodh's natural tendency was to protect. In doing so, he never crossed the line but stood beside her along the way ready to do his part when needed. They were awesome together and their chemistry burned through the pages each time they gave in to their desires.
I loved the additional relationship surprise that popped up as well as what I hoped was a little tease to another world we might have more of in the future. There was also more of Willow and Hunter, which are always my favorite, but I’m not ready for them to grow up! With a cast of characters that add a rich layer to not only this book but the series, this is another incredible addition to the series!

Jessen’s family life is restrictive to say the least. Sneaking out for a night on the wrong side of town, she finds herself caught in the middle of a confrontation between humans and dragons. When a dark dragon removes her from any danger and then promptly flies her home, she knows that she will feel the wrath of her family. With a quick change in plans she soon finds herself alone with Lucius Nightwing. Despite all she has been raised to believe, she is fascinated by everything about him.
Lucius could not tolerate another man’s hands on the woman. His beast urged him to maim, to break, to kill. It is all the man can do to stop his dragon from taking over. After a soul stirring kiss he knows he must put Jessen aside as he cannot claim her for himself. There is a huge divide between them that goes beyond racism. A divide that his loyalty to family must honor.
While this did not have a lot of action or drama, the story was constantly moving forward, the groundwork being laid for not only Jess and Lucius but for, I imagine, the remaining stories as well. However, it was not completely drama free and I actually enjoyed watching things play out and then cheering when the villain received payment for his deeds.
I adored Lucius and his jealous, protective ways. It doesn’t take him long to recognize what’s at stake with Jessen and even while he fears it a bit, he is determined to claim her completely. Jessen is a heroine that yields to what her family wants, despite her moments of rebellion, but throughout the story she grows stronger in her determination to stand up for what she wants in life. And what she doesn’t want as well. Sometimes, that type of heroine is just as compelling as a regular kicka$$ one.
This is a fast paced read with secondary characters that I can’t wait to read more about. I’m especially keeping my eye on Ella as she has the potential to be my perfect heroine. But I’m also watching Moira, oh, and then there’s Sorcha. Yeah, you get the idea. Lots of good stuff coming up in this series I’m sure. The steam level is scorching but perfect for the story. Don’t expect to get to the serious heat until after the 70% mark. Even so, it didn’t feel that long due to the extreme chemistry between the main characters.
Overall, I absolutely loved pretty much everything about this story except that I wanted more. And since I’m pretty sure I’ll be seeing Jessen and Lucius as we move forward, I’m more than happy.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed the antagonism between Livvy and Gareth. She was fighting him every step of the way and he was just biding his time. With a dark, mystique surrounding him, I couldn’t help but be pulled into his story. Waiting to learn his backstory was agony and once it was revealed, dear lord, no wonder there is a sense of darkness around him.
Gareth was intense in his desire for Livvy. He wasn’t as forward in his “mine” mentality as Alpha was, but he had some serious mojo to back his emotions up. What they shared was not the stuff of fairy tales, it was emotional, deep, lusty, and forever. I loved what they had together.
While there were still some fun moments between the sisters as well as their significant others, I personally felt this lacked the initial spark of humor that were found earlier in the previous books. This felt a bit darker. But then, Gareth is a Grim and once you get to know him, it’s obvious why there’s a heavier feel to this story.

His protectiveness over Stella was extreme but well warranted. His jealousy over the thought of another male looking at her had me smiling widely as this is the stuff I dream about finding in the books I read. The fact that he was a dragon shifter…pure heaven.
Stella was petite and dainty but with a determination that could not be swayed. It didn’t take her long to learn how to handle the obstinate male that was shadowing her. She definitely gave Rhodes a bit of a ride before he found any peace.

This is filled with all kinds of danger and drama. With plenty of action laced throughout the story as well as some amazing scenes with some of my favorite characters, I was instantly swept up into this story. Before I realized it, I was at the end long before I was ready. I loved everything about this couple and this world. This author will never be able to write too many dragon shifter romances for me. Definitely my favorite!

I never saw this series unfolding in this way. This book was interesting until it hit the point where Darya was framed for murder and then I was totally captivated and unable to put this down. With the sweep of the computer keys, Ms. Cosway shined a light on Vasilios making me see him in a whole new way. He had not changed, at all. He was still the villain, but there was so much more below the surface making me fall in love with this bad boy.
This story is edged with darkness as the prison is home to degradation, violence and a blind eye from the authorities. There is drama and angst along with the unveiling of a new romantic interest. While this is definitely a love triangle going on, the story does not revolve around it. I’m very anxious to get the next book to learn what lies in store for these characters.

Rose has captured my attention from her first appearance in the series. She is weak and unable to practice magic. It’s obvious that she is slowly dying. I couldn’t wait to find out what her and Ronan’s story was going to hold. And holy heck. It was incredible.
Things start out so dark, heavy and angsty. I couldn’t put this down as I had to see what was going to happen. It wasn’t long before this story took a turn, then a twist and before I knew it, I found myself somewhere I never expected to be. And loving every moment of it.
Ronan is definitely on my top favorite hero list. He’s unable to feel emotion and yet it’s obvious that everything is right below the surface and it’s all a matter of time for it to burst out. I was on pins and needles as his journey to falling in love (or recognizing that he was already in love?) moved me through the story. His protective instincts where Rose was concerned was pure alpha goodness to the 100th degree. I couldn’t help but grin at times at his reactions.
This is filled with danger and drama along with a level of steam that will make you blush if someone looks over your shoulder while you're reading certain parts. While this can be read as a standalone, I recommend the previous books in the series because the familial connection is so much a part of the story.

I loved that Gwyn is swept up into another time and place and yet it isn’t time travel at all. She’s pretty much experiencing what book lovers experience when we dive into a great story, except on a grander scale. She’s living the book in a way readers only dream of living.
I was intrigued from the moment Gwyn noticed her nylon covered legs and when I read the words “Welcome to Thornehaven.”, I was hooked. While there was a bit of gothic feel to the story, it didn’t consume it. But with its bright and colorful cover I wasn’t expecting anything too dreary and dark. However, there were plenty of moments when the atmosphere around Gwyn caused me to sit up a bit straighter in preparation for whatever might be lurking in the closet or under the bed.
This had a really great mystery with characters that kept me guessing from one moment to the next. I tend to jump ahead of the author and figure out the who, what or why but things were constantly in motion here to the point I didn’t have a clue who the villain was going to be. With plenty of twists and turns along the way, I had a hard time setting this down. There was just a hint of romance through the story which was nice. The ending has a huge surprise, not really a cliffhanger as this story/mystery is concluded, but a tease that makes me ready for the next book now, please.
