As a child, Journee vanished from the Greene family's home. After years of searching, she was finally found and brought back to where she belonged. the love she received only made her crave more than her fair share.

Journee is easily one of my favorite characters in the Inferno World. Her mind is a fascinating whirlwind of chaos, and I love how she stands out from the typical Greene woman. It adds excitement to the story by opening up possibilities.

Frankie Novak and the men survived the Alaskan wilderness, but nothing compared to assimilating back into the civilized world. As tension mounted, battling each other was the least of their problems when an external force was out to destroy them.
The story stirred up a myriad of emotions, especially anger towards a particular character whose emotional cruelty made me love my favorite even more. I liked the tension between the characters and how they had to learn the hard way even though at times I wanted to smack them in the head.
She would call me a caveman. But I’m more beast than man. I’m a predator. An animal. I’m hers.
While the book is on the longer side, the angst and intrigue kept me turning pages. However, a few corny scenes felt out of place given the overall tone. The sexual chemistry was palpable and I would have liked to see it pushed further. The best part of the book is towards the end with heart-thumping suspense.
Heart of Frost and Scars is a story of resilience and ingenuity. It would appeal to readers who enjoy action packed dark romantic suspense with reverse harem dynamics.

After patiently biding her time, Jocelyn Greene was ready to end it once and for all. But executing her plan might prove harder than expected.
This story was more devious and erotic than the previous book. There was one character I really want to see suffer, and it’s not who you might think.
But, behind those tired lines, inside those tired eyes, there’s something that we all have. The Greene fire burning like a quiet inferno. How we choose to use what he’s attempted to bestow on us is what discerns the men from the monsters.
Going into this book, I had a certain hope for the outcome. But I knew either way I’d be happy with it. However, considering this is the end of the series, I was hoping for a more impactful ending.
Siccitas is a story of perseverance. This series would appeal to readers who enjoy taboo horror.

First, let me say oww… lol! This book is gory, and it’s been a while since I had a physical reaction while reading. I wished there was more background on Guy. But I liked being in his head with his denial and contradictions.

Years of experience made Theodore Wright the most sought-after taxidermist around. But a special request required a special skill he was more than willing to explore.
This story certainly caught my attention with its extreme but subtle content. I love how Theodore judged and rationalized his actions, which made him relatable in a way. The author managed to pack a complete and fascinating story in a bite-size package.

“If you so much as step foot off of this property I’ll hunt you down like and animal and fuck you over and over until you’re bursting with my child.”
I enjoyed the taboo dynamic, but unfortunately, the story failed to engage me. Some scenes seemed irrelevant to the plot, while others lacked conclusion. Fortunately, I enjoyed the non con aspect of the story.

Emmie Thibideaux was finally home after years away from her family. The first thing on her agenda was to find her childhood best friend Grimm Valot. But the years had changed him into someone she didn’t recognize.

The story started quite sweet, but soon enough it descended into the rabbit hole. I liked getting into Grim’s head and experiencing his world, especially seeing how his friendship with Emmie affected his goals. I also enjoyed the culture and the setting of the story.
As a child he had been my best friend in the entire world, and as a man he had become a monster.

This book was quite slow to begin with, but thankfully it gained momentum in its latter half. I enjoyed the ambiance and the various characters, even as flawed as they were. I definitely felt for Anna and rooted for her. The storyline was interesting, and I liked how it ended.

I have to admit I dreaded starting this book because of the length. I’m so glad it was worth it. The story was dark and engaging, with a good balance of suspense, sexiness, sadness, and humor.
“I’ll take any scrap you’re willing to throw my way. Scraps are better than nothing, because nothing is all I have.”
Each character had their appeal, no matter how misguided they might be. Wolf was my favorite right from the beginning. And I can’t help but admire Denver’s ingenuity in getting things his way.

While this book is a graphic horror, it has an underlying tone of grief and depression. Karina carried a burden that became heavier as she attempted to fix her mistakes. I sympathized with her situation, but at times her choices were questionable.

Throughout the book, I had conflicting emotions regarding Shae. I couldn’t decide if I should love her or hate her. I liked how she was determined to get what she wanted, but her selfishness and unwise moves made her an unlikable character.
Dean has no idea what he did that day he chose to walk out on me.
The story was engaging and made me want to keep flipping the pages. I loved how the story ended, but I felt some parts were slightly unrealistic that lessened the impact. I’m looking forward to seeing where the story is heading next.

At a moment of desperation, Grace Evans was granted reprieve when she secured a job at the Fair Briar manor. But the easy tasks and good pay might earn her more than she bargained for when Kier Darroch set his sight on her.

Throughout the book, Grace skirted between bravery and stupidity, but I admired her tenacity and compassion. It was hard not to be drawn to Kier considering the situation. And I loved how he stayed true to himself.
It was like looking directly into the line of a car careening toward you and refusing to step out of the way to save yourself.
I was pleasantly surprised by this book. While the plot is uncomplicated and lighter than expected, the characters and the story drew me in right from the beginning. I liked how this mirrored a version of Beauty and the Beast where the beast stayed as one and the beauty with her own claws.

I had conflicting feelings towards Alex. I sympathized with his plight, but at the same time, he brought it upon himself with his selfish acts. While towards the end I felt some of the scenes felt caricature, I enjoyed the overall story with how he dealt with the situations, especially in the psychological aspect.
It was either a good idea or an absolutely terrible one. Remarkable how similar the two can look when you’re desperate.

Calista and Romero were a couple made from the fiery depth of hell. While both were insane, they each had their own level of depravity. I also loved the supporting characters and the dynamics.

This one was a pleasant surprise. The plot was light, but not less entertaining. I liked the ambiance and appreciated how the author took full advantage of the monstrous elements when it comes to the erotic scenes.
So why did my entire body tingle at the thought of being touched by these monsters? Why did I salivate at the image in my head, picturing them ravishing me on every surface in this cursed house?
I felt for Iris and her suffering, but she was smart enough to make the most out of the situation. The monsters were also interesting, and I liked Kaz the most. I loved the ending because that was how I envisioned the story.

I’ve heard many good things about this book and am aware of many dark readers loving it. Unfortunately for me, it was a torture to finish.
It wasn’t the dark content I had a problem with. I’ve read and loved much darker books. It was the dull tone, minimal plot, and repetitiveness that left me struggling. The erotic aspect wasn’t remotely titillating.
My biggest issue was Mason. He lacked the much-needed charisma for this type of story to work, making his actions unconvincing. I did enjoy learning about his past and how much he cared about his job-related matters.

I liked the characters in this book, but there was too much telling in the story. I also needed more intensity to feel for the characters because while there were extreme scenes, they lacked impact. The erotic scenes were okay. Thankfully, the "special scene" in the finale helped elevate it.
