And I almost didn't buy/read it because the blurbs are in first-person (turn-off for me) but they are written in third person, which I love.
I thoroughly enjoyed the story of Jack and Danielle. Not only was it hot, super-hot with all the sexy times and a dirty-talking hero (my weakness), there was much more. I loved the secondary characters, especially Jack's brothers Luke and Sam, Jack's best friend Jamie and Danielle's best friend Violet. I hooe the author is planning to write all their books because I crave to read ALL those stories now too.
I also really liked the humor and emotional punch this serial packed, which came to a culmination in the third and final part. I alternated between feeling hot, smiling and wiping at my teary eyes. This combination is always a winner for me.
I've enjoyed Ms. Fox's books a lot in the past but think this serial is my favorite so far.

I bought it because of the premise of a Vegas vacation (I'm drawn to anything Vegas!), the co-workers romance and the fact that Finn is a PE teacher. The explanation for that last reason is a long story :) And I don't regret the purchase for one second!
I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet very sexy contemporary romance with lovely, likeable characters that took me to Las Vegas for a few hours and ended on an emotional high note.
VEGAS VACATION is one of those books that you encounter once in a while. You stumble upon them by accident and they call out to you. Once you start them you just know it's going to be good and when you finish it you just want one thing: MORE!
Fave Scene: - the first kiss in Finn's hotelroom when they arrive in Vegas > hot!
Fave Quotes: He bent down and kissed the side of her neck. “Good morning, Meg.” There wasn’t a coherent response she could come up with. Her insides quivered, melted at the feel of his naked body against hers. He stroked a hand up her hip, his fingertips rasping over her flesh while he bit her earlobe. Her nipples went tight, and a shiver passed through her. She had to consciously keep hold of her purse, because it threatened to slip out of her fingers as her body went pliant for his.
His Adam’s apple bobbed when he swallowed and she wanted to put her mouth on his throat, drink in the scent of him, lick the saltiness of his skin, maybe even bite him.

Quick & Dirty-review:
Ingredients: a separated, soon-to-be-ex-couple, drugged drinks, hazy memories, two very different views on a marriage, misunderstanding and ready assumptions, steamy hot passion,
Hero: Leo Stevenson is a successful agent to the stars. He seemed to genuinely love his wife so I was wondering what he'd done to cause Leslie to kick him out and start separation/divorce. He is lightly sexually dominant and that’s just the way I like my romance novel heroes.
Heroine: Leslie Stevenson. The only thing I noted about Leslie other than her stubbornness and tenaciousness was her irrational fear of crowds as she was agoraphobic.
Plot/Theme: An estranged couple who, because of miscommunication, are struggling their way back to each other
Writing: J.K. Coi’s writing is clean, crisp and fluent. The story is fast paced because due to the short length there are no unnecessary amounts of background information. And yet you get all the information you need to fill in the gaps along the way.
Likes: - smoking hot sex scenes - fast pace and great writing - resolution to the conflict
Dislikes: - non-communication and assumptions instead of talking stuff out - Leslie's initial refusal to explain to Leo why she kicked him out - Leo's initial acceptance of this refusal, no questions asked whereas in other areas his dominance shone through - Leslie's acceptance of how her father dictates her life
Verdict: THE MORNING AFTER is a smoking hot and well rounded for a very short novella. It was an unputdownable lightning-quick read that I enjoyed immensely and makes me hunt down all J.K. Coi's erotic contemporary work asap!
Favorite Quotes: Need, desire, anger and pain all swirled together in his gut until he was afraid it would overflow and cause him to do something stupid--like kiss her. Fuck. How many times was she going to be able to rip out his soul before there was nothing left of him? Why was he letting her?
(...) and she knew that he was gauging her reaction to every one of his long, controlled thrusts. Slow thrusts to drive her crazy. Slow thrusts until she completely lost control. He'd always been relentless when it came to sex, driving her until she fell apart, mind, body, soul. There was something inside him that needed to dominate her responses until she begged him to let her come.
He couldn't get enough of her touch, needing it as much as he'd always needed her, with a fierce, possessive intensity that sometimes frightened him to his soul.
PWOR-Rating: 8 out of 10

I loved everything about this book. It was like the authors went into my brain and picked everything I adore about romance and put it on one book! The references to Jane Austen, the music, tv shows...it all resonated deeply with me. This for me was the perfect feelgood read/listen. No unnecessay drama or misunderstanding, just a lovely love story that was hot AF!
The narration was sublime. I loved the ladies group texts chapters. Kudos Erin, Emma and Maxine! And of course Joe was fantastic as always. I hope there is more to come from this writing duo because this first book has definitely whetted my appetite for more ❤️...more

The cast of secondary characters was diverse and super interesting. The story was well-crafted and my minor issue with it was that I figured out the small suspense-y plot fairly quick and the endng felt a bit rushed. This is my third Katy Connor novella and where the first 2 were great reads, this one just didn’t work for me. I can’t believe what I’m going to type next but the sex was just too much. By that I mean that, for me, there was no good balance between sexy scenes, story and characterization. I am the last person too complain about the amount odmf sexy scenes but for a novella it seemed like one big sexy marathon where some characterization and a very tiny plot were small water breaks. I was not able to emotionally connect with the main couple and their romance because the sex overtook everything else.
I’m hoping the next KC novella in this series will blow my socks off again....more

I liked this one much better than the first as I really liked both characters (even if again I liked the heroine more than the hero). I don’t know what it is with Critch’s books but the heroes don’t work for me as well as the heroines do. But as I said I connected with Rafael much better than I did with Brett from the first book. I loved Jessica. She embodied the strong female characters I love to read in my romance novels and she was a stripper/poledancer running for mayor. Just awesome!
The sexy scenes were very hot and mixed in with perfect balance to the rest of the story and I even got my desk smexing scene. YAY! I also liked the romance and emotional development of the characters and the small plot of the leaked sex tape and pictures. The one thing that was done a bit less well than in the first book was the rivals-to-lovers trope. Where in the first book this was the thing carrying the romance, in this one it was quickly overshadowed by the mutual attraction and feelings.
All in all, I really liked this one and am ready for the next Brotherhood romance. I’m even hoping for an inter-Brotherhood romance between two certain characters, maybe a friends-to-lovers *winkwink*...more

I loved HAVEN and may have loved SANCTUARY even more. I really, really click with Weatherspoon’s writing. I love all her characters as she offers diversity in every way posdible with both her main and secondary characters. Her characters have depth and layers and feel like people you could meet in real life. Despite the suspense plot and the superhot sexy scenes the books in this series are so character-driven (which I truly love in my romance novels). And it’s so well done. Speaking of sexy scenes... OMG Silas and Liz set the pages on fire. I had multiple “fan myself” moments. Their romance is one of the greatest written ones I’ve read in a long time. I loved the fake relationship trope and how it developped. I loved the setting (farm town in upstate NY) and I inhaled all the scenes that included the townspeople or description of the day-to-day life on the farm. I adored the scenes with the dogs. This is the third book in the multi-authored Bad Boy Homecoming series. This one was by Katee Robert, an author, unlike Avery Flynn who wrote book 2, I have read before. With the fake relationship + second chance trope tied in with the highschool reunion theme that runs through all the book in the series it was a nice addition. I knew from the second book that Jessica was the mean girl of the class as that book featured Jessica’s former friend Leah and Jessica’s brother Drew. After Jessica graduated, broke up woth her then highschool sweatheart (because an accident prevented him of becoming an NFL star and them leaving to better places) and fled to leave the Texas small town behind, she ended up in LA where she lost some of her mean streak. Her roommates and friends convince her to go back for the reunion amd set her up with an agency for fake dates as she can’t turn up and face her ex all alone. Turns out said ex owns the agency and decides to take this assignment himself to teach her a lesson. But of course things don’t go as planned.
I really liked this one. Katee’s writing is always a joy to read and I really liked Jessica and Jake’s romance. It was sexy and they had a nice bit of verbal sparring going. I really disliked Jessica’s mother and was delighted when Jessica stood up to her. The end though was a bit quick and I was a bit talen aback by a change in Jessica’s mom but overall, great story and I’m looking forward to the next in the series. I liked this one. Though I’m not really into American football sports romances (I have very few on my TBR) I wanted to read this one because it’s Melissa Blue and I’m on a (slow-going) mission to read her entire backlist in between waiting for her new releases.
I liked Adam and Charlotte together. The sexy scenes were, as per usual, hot and playful. Adam was sexy and alpha. Charlotte was independent and fun. The romance did feel a bit rushed and the conflict felt a bit contrived. But I loved the resolution and the secondary characters.

I didn’t like the hero, Brett, much (unlikeable hero for me) but loved the heroine. His arrogant confidence may appeal to some but I just found it annoying and grating. I wasn’t able to summon up any sympathy for him for most of the book. This was not good. His turnabout, redemption we might call it, was very late in the book and a complete 180 from one page to the next.
I really liked the heroine, Rebecca, as she tried to give as good as she got amd she succeeded a few times but there were also moments where I was like: oh no, girl...don’t give in to the sexual chemistry!
I also loved the rivals/enemies-to-lovers trope and how that was written. The animosity and rivalry was done better than in most e-t-l I’ve recently read, which may have something to do with the asshat-ish hero. The end did feel rushed as the resolution literally happened in the last chapter and sadly there was no big grovel from hero.
One of the main reasons I seek out office/workplace romances is the possibility of sexy times on a desk. This book missed a major opportunity (the scene in Bret’s office at the Club) to give me the desk smexing I look for but it made up for that a little with the one in Rebecca’s office.
All in all it was an okay read that was really sexy and steamy but my disconnection with the hero prevented it from being a great one. That said, I’m definitely curious about the other members of the Brotherhood’s stories so I will be reading more from this author. ...more

The ongoing plot with their father developed into “I want to hit someone in the face with a chair” territory and some revelations completely took me by surprise. I was having my own out there speculations but they were defenitely exceeded by what was revealed. I really enjoyed this trilogy and am sad there are no plans beyond it. (*cough*NeedABookForJacksonILoveJackson*cough*) I adored Hanna and her strength and resilience with everything she went through. What a wonderful first meeting with this new-to-me author. I pre-ordered this book because it was mentioned on Twitter in a convo about books with a fake relationship trope. I read the blurb and pre-ordered because I felt this was totally a book for me. Then release day came and went and it ended up buried in the mountain range that is my TBR. Until Ellie tweeted about the heroines and her description of Clem resonated so hard with me I inearthed the book from Mt. TBR and started reading.
I loved this book so much! Clem is an introvert with a family so extravert and intrusive it gave me, a fellow introvert, the heebie jeebies. But they were such a loving family as well. They meant well and really loved Clem.
Jake and Clem’s romance was perfectly written. Dosed and balanced just right and the sexy scenes were super hot. I loved seeing the initial attraction and chemistry develop through the fake relationship and the forced proximity to true and deep emotional connection.
