It is one of those stories that I really didn’t want anyone or anything to interrupt me reading.
With a hero determined to ensure the rightful heir to the properties he inherited has them, the Marquess of Bromton tries to manipulate things, only to discover that he’s the one being manipulated! Lady Katherine is a delightful heroine, so kind and considerate to everyone - but someone wrongly maligned by the Ton as the least marriageable lady in all of England. She’s wary of the Marquess and his attentions but the attraction between them just keeps on growing! Can they resist each other? What will happen when she discovers his motivations and her brother's scheme?
With family secrets, manipulating siblings, surprises and so much more this is an engaging and highly entertaining read which I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending to anyone who enjoys this genre. I’ll definitely jump at any chance to read any future works by this exceptionally talented author!
I requested and was lucky enough to be given a copy of this novel, via NetGalley, with no obligation. This is my honest review of the book after choosing to read it.

This is the first book in a new series set in World War II and featuring a trio of Miss Marples, friends who were thrown together when they became pilots in the Air Transport Auxiliary and ended up billeting with Betty Palmer. This is a wartime investigation into just what happened to Betty's sister and also links into uncovering black market dealers. Packed with secrets and mystery it is a fascinating story that had me turning the pages, not wanting to put it down.
The characters all have very different backgrounds, the mystery is engaging and it is great how you get to know and connect with these intrepid young ladies as the story progresses. There are potential romances, new friends, a brave dog and danger in this riveting read. I was totally engrossed in it and am very happy to realise that there will be more opportunities to catch up on these brave young ladies in future stories in this series - I can't wait to read them!

This truly is a delightful seaside romantic comedy, with great characters, an idyllic community and plenty of twists and turns to keep you enthralled. This truly is a delightful seaside romantic comedy, with great characters, an idyllic community and plenty of twists and turns to keep you enthralled. There are a plethora of laugh out loud moments throughout this heartwarming story during which jewellery maker Melody Rosewood learns to laugh at her catastrophic dating disasters thanks to the highly talented - and handsome - sculptor, Jamie Jackson. As these two artists venture from great friends to explore the possibilities of being more, the local community will include characters who are determined to get involved, with additional humorous impacts. For added adorability, there are puppies galore and their escapades are simply hilarious, especially at their disastrous obedience training class.
This is the second book in the series and involves many of the same characters. Holly Martin describes events so well she brings them vividly to life in the imagination of the reader. The close knit community, their notorious characters and support are all key to this endearing story and series. I believe it works as a standalone but have to say that both stories are brilliantly written so I recommend reading them both! For everyone who has already read the first story in the series, "The Holiday Cottage by the Sea", this story gives you the opportunity to catch up on Aidan and Tori - and their witnessed special event in the cave, which definitely had me giggling! I'm really hoping that the next book in this series will feature Leo and Isla finally getting together and I can't wait to read it!
Well, in case you haven't gathered, I have no hesitation in highly recommending this to anyone looking for a superbly crafted romantic comedy to escape into. Holly Martin is one of my go-to authors and I've thoroughly enjoyed everything I've read by her. This story would be ideal to read whilst relaxing on the beach - or whilst dreaming of being able to do so! I certainly didn't want to put it down until I'd finished and am already looking forward to being able to read future stories in this series.
I requested and was given a copy of this novel via NetGalley. I chose to read it and this is my honest opinion after doing so.

She hadn’t realised her husband was a key member of a powerful crime family but when she did her fairytale life was over. It was only after witnessing her father in law assassinating her husband that she managed to escape with evidence to help bring him to justice. The only problem now is staying alive to testify. She certainly didn’t anticipate her first love, Jayson Stevens, being the US Marshall in charge of protecting her . . . . nor did either of them expect their love to be rekindled! However, there’s betrayal and peril ahead before justice can prevail and their second chance romance has any opportunity for a HEA.
This is an action packed story with great characters – including one that’s canine! There are secrets to be revealed as the drama unfolds. It is a page turner that I enjoyed reading but confess that I really wanted to know the verdict of the court case and felt irritated by it not being revealed – but that’s probably just me wanting all the loose ends tidying up neatly but it does mean I want to read the next book in this series ASAP!

This is the second in the New Hope set But works as a standalone if you haven’t read the first yet. It shares a lovely story of family, forgiveness and romance Where friends and others are given a second chance.
Susannah Peachy is returning to look after her Gran But reconnecting with Peter Lambright isn’t in her plan. Last summer they were courting, then suddenly he said They were over, their romance was over, dead.
Susannah was heartbroken and didn’t understand why And Peter never really explained - he didn’t want to lie. They both still love each other but now must be apart But no one thought to tell their heart.
Last year Peter made a secret pact In exchange for funds that he desperately lacked. Worried about his Mum’s health and his siblings, too He was unsure about just what he should do.
Susannah’s grandparents want to protect her and care But making wrong assumptions about things they’re unaware. It is a heartwarming story, filled with faith, love and hope About forgiveness, caring and helping others cope.

This story starts with the dramatic evacuation of Doctor Lucy Young and two of her colleagues from the hospital they have been working in that is now in the midst of a war zone. After four years working as a surgeon for Doctors Without Borders she's more than ready for some R&R and travels to Siena for her friend's wedding. Whilst at the wedding she is called upon to help an injured patient at a local private clinic. This leads to her being offered a job there, something she's reticent about accepting as it goes against her ethics but, as her previous boss pointed out, the sick need treating and regardless of the size of their wealth they are still patients. With a local journalist, a cheating ex who is now a colleague and even a wealthy, attractive patient all vying for her, maybe there will be love being prescribed for this doctor soon, but just who will win her heart?
This is a brilliant book to escape into but do be prepared to have your taste buds tickled by all the delicious descriptions of the food that definitely had my mouth watering! I was getting concerned at the lack of the author's trademark inclusion of a Labrador character to start with but don't worry, there are many of them with siblings, their parents and a new litter in this story. The author knows this area of Italy well and brings it vividly to life in the imagination of the reader - as usual! The characters are believable and it feels like you really get to know them as the story progresses. It deals sensitively with the problems associated with dealing with dramatic, life changing events and the impact of such events on the person concerned. There are plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing and the ending is superb. It is a fantastic read to escape into and one that I didn't want to put down until I'd finished it, meaning I really have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending this book and I eagerly await reading more from this author in future.
Thank you to Canelo and NetGalley for the copy of this book which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

If you like your romance written by a master of vibrant, descriptive and emotive writing, look no further! This is one of the finest written romances If you like your romance written by a master of vibrant, descriptive and emotive writing, look no further! This is one of the finest written romances I have ever read, filled with highly evocative language, bringing vividly to life every scenario, emotion and dilemma dramatically in the readers’ imagination.
It is a lighthearted romance with an idyllic main setting of a “cosy countryside cottage” in Devon which was left to Rosie Hamilton by her late Aunt Bernice. The descriptions of this location - especially the garden - were superlative, making me think I could actually smell the herbs growing there. It is to this fantastic location that Rosie runs after finding her bride-to-be spoilt younger sister having sex with Rosie’s boss and date for the wedding. Here in the UK Rosie meets two suitors - the solicitor dealing with her Aunt’s estate and someone who works at the local five star spa, hotel and restaurant. The contrast between her corporate existence in New York and village life, the people, events, attitudes and life are fundamental to changing Rosie’s outlook and self determination. Nothing, however, is straightforward and there is plenty of angst and turmoil before she can achieve her HEA.
Aunt Bernice was a published illustrator and has left a specially written and illustrated book full of recipes for Rosie. Each one is lavishly illustrated and has a message regarding the purpose of the herbs used in the recipe. What’s even better is, after you’ve finished reading the story, you’ll find the recipes to have a go at for yourself - I certainly intend trying some of them for myself!
This is an outstandingly well written novel. I have to say how great it is to read such a superb story where the author is capable of portraying so much without once having to resort to having her heroine go bed hopping! The reconnecting of the sisters and the ending are both magnificent bringing this outstanding novel to a heartwarming conclusion. This is a true romance that I cannot recommend too highly. I will certainly be looking out for any future stories by this exceptionally talented author.
Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too for letting me read an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

What another fun read this proved to be - a great addition to the series! Pippa Parkin lives and works in the Cornish village of Penmenna where she's a teaching assistant. She first encounters Kam Choudhury when he is attempting to leave the school after a job interview there. His car won't start and she's dressed up as the Easter Bunny!! There's instant mutual attraction between the two but they're working together in the same class . . . . a situation where relationships will be frowned on! Anyway, Pippa's childhood boyfriend is back in the village and seems to want to rekindle their relationship. What will Pippa decide to do? Actually will she have any chance to make her own mind up as her Mum, Jan Parkin, can't resist matchmaking!
This is a lovely story of Cornish village life, with great characters, community events and interfering families all adding to the mix. As if Jan isn't enough, Kam's Mum, Geeta Choudhary, and his three sisters all get involved in this heartwarming romance. There's lots of banter between the siblings, matchmaking from both parents and a missing letter to cause misunderstandings! It is great to catch up on some of the characters from earlier books in this series, though Flynn in particular deserves a mention, but don't worry if you haven't read the others as I believe this will also work well as a standalone. I really hope there will be more to come in this series as I really want to know what's going on with Marion Marksharp - I'm sure there should be some revelations about her to come! I thoroughly enjoyed visiting this delightful location and its community again and have no hesitation in highly recommending it.

I requested and was gifted a copy of this book and this is my honest opinion after choosing to read it....more

Sorry for repeating myself but it still applies - Each book works well as a standalone, each is written by a different author but they do have some of the same characters in them and, of course, key events like the rodeo are also common to all the books. I am still so highly impressed by how these authors work so well together, I actually feel like I’m starting to know my way around Marietta through their descriptions!
This time ex foster child Jess Clark is going to see her teenage sweetheart, Cole McArthur, to try to get him to come home again after a decade away from his family, friends and home in Marietta. She’s actually going because his father has been diagnosed with MS and she feels the family needs to reconnect with each other, even though she isn’t really one of them. Cole is a rodeo cowboy who was given an ultimatum by his father; he’s never forgotten Jess and no one has ever come near to measuring up to her in his heart. When he finds her at his door their attraction is still explosive but with family secrets, shocking revelations, misunderstandings and so much more do they stand a chance of achieving their HEA? You’ll have to read it to find out!
This is another wonderful, sweet novella in this series - again, a delight to get lost in. The dreadfully poor communication between members of McArthur family causes so much trouble for them all. Reading as Jess develops from something of a doormat to a more forthright, feisty young woman is delightful. Similarly as Cole faces his own dilemmas and starts to understand his own reactions better all adds to the dynamics of their relationship and the story. An emotional journey that it is a roller coaster ride with plenty of twists, turns, ups and downs to keep the reader enthralled. A great story to get lost in, highly recommended!
Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too for provided an ARC for me to read in exchange for this, my honest review.

If you enjoy beautifully written, heartwarming romances where turmoil leads to exploring life choices and new beginnings in spectacular settings, withIf you enjoy beautifully written, heartwarming romances where turmoil leads to exploring life choices and new beginnings in spectacular settings, with laugh out loud moments, too, look no further than this highly talented author! This is another superb story that I thoroughly enjoyed reading from start to finish!
Joe literally bumps into Sophie, knocking her to the ground face first! After such a dramatic introduction, they discover they are both staying in the same Italian town by Lake Garda - he's staying with his Uncle and she's staying with her Nonna. Both have travelled there to consider what they want to do next with their lives - and both are (reluctantly) very attracted to each other. As family secrets and dramas add extra turmoil to their Italian escape, this develops into an enthralling read I thoroughly enjoyed escaping into.
There are many laugh out loud moment, like when Sophia tries out the sunscreen recommended by her sister-in-law . . . with dramatic consequences! Explore the area, visit the castle, the Opera, go shopping and meet the locals - Darcie paints vivid pictures of the people, places and events, bringing them to life in the imagination of her readers. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this to anyone who enjoys their romance with family dramas in beautiful locations, ending with an enchanting epilogue!

Will is struggling to cope after her death and is finding solace in Scotch. His children live in Germany and the US, he’s retired and is isolating himself from the world around him. That’s when he has an unexpected knock on his door and a stranger delivers Rosie. Initially he doesn’t want her but the lady informs him that his wife ordered the pup to be delivered to him along with a letter from her. The story takes the reader on a journey with Will, as he initially resents and rejects the pup but comes to love her and she helps him overcome his grief to face life - and adventures - again.
This is such an emotional roller coaster read! I certainly needed the tissues handy at time but then there would be something to have me laughing out loud. It is a delightful read, reflecting on the power of pets to give new meaning to life after tragedy and the adventures these two have are brilliant! I can’t give more than five stars, but this one easily earns all of those and more. It is a story I suspect I’ll read again and again in future and have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending to anyone!

It has fantastic characters, including Pip’s sister Flis Whose malapropisms you really don’t want to miss! When the body of a suspect is found by Pip and a runaway llama You just know this story will continue with plenty of fun and drama!
With murder, plots and secret plans, too This is a series I highly recommend to you For my copy I thank Bookouture and NetGalley, too. I hope you enjoy this, my honest review.

I've loved every book in this series that I've read - and this is no exception! Two lone wolves are enjoying time away from their packs in the summer I've loved every book in this series that I've read - and this is no exception! Two lone wolves are enjoying time away from their packs in the summer sun of Monterrey. When they meet on the beach they're initially wary but an enforcer comes warning of rogue Russian wolves. Jake Danes is from the Hudson River pack, spending his time surfing, chilling and working. His home is his van and his favourite place is feeling like he is flying whilst surfing the waves. Well, that was true till he found Mimi Chase practicing yoga on the beach. Now he wants to protect her and so much more but the feisty, independent young lady isn't calling, so he goes searching for her....
This story has great characters with whom it is easy to empathise. The novella is written with a huge slice of humour added, with many laugh out loud moments but there is also danger, suspicion and mystery as well as romance, making it an engaging read that I didn't want to put down. It is a great finale for the previous series and a brilliant introduction to the new one which starts in January 2017 with Shadow Wolf - I can't wait to read it!
This highly talented author successfully writes a series of books with many things and characters in common yet makes each of them readable as a standalone without necessitating reading the earlier books in the series to access and enjoy them. Having said that, the series does have common threads and an overarching plot line running through it so I suspect having read the earlier books enhances the readers' enjoyment.
Many thanks to the author and publishers for gifting me an ARC of this novella in exchange for my honest review.

It is the second book in a series and I haven't read the first but still found this a superb read and have to say it works well as a standalone.
Caya Pendarvis has been brought to Scotland by her brother who has arranged for her to marry someone she's never met, a sailor who has agreed to pay him enough to settle his gambling debts. They stay in a Inn to await the arrival of her husband to be and, whilst dining there one of the other diners keeps looking at her and is obviously discussing her with his two compatriots. They both find the other attractive, but haven't even spoken. The man is Declan Sinclair, a Highlander who has dreams which usually foretell what will happen - and little does she know that she has featured in his recent dreams, dreams in which she becomes his wife!
When she retires for the night, her brother challenges the three Highlanders to a game of cards. He accrues a decent pot but then loses it all. Desperate, he gambles his sister - and Declan wins. Now, winning Caya like this was easy but now he needs to win her heart and this is something he has no experience of, he's going to need to learn to court Caya for his dreams to come true. However, what will her brother do when her husband to be turns up to collect his bride? How will he repay his debts now?
My advice is go grab yourself a copy of this book and get ready for a story with a plethora of great characters, plenty of action, full of twists and turns, accusations of witchcraft, kidnapping, whisky, peril and so much more! There's even another rival for Caya's hand in marriage! There are plenty of misunderstandings and danger along their journey to their HEA and Declan is an endearing, hard working, reticent but determined suitor and a real sweetheart, too. I'll definitely be looking out for more by this talented author in future!

New DNA evidence from an unsolved murder scene twenty years ago implies that the perpetrator is related to US Marshal Emmett Gage. The victims were the parents of two people who have grown up to become members of the Brooklyn team, who have re-opened the cold case after a similar recent murder. The investigating officer is Belle Montera but her K-9 partner is sedated and she is almost killed whilst going to meet Emmett. This is the first of a series of attacks on Belle. Is it related to that old case or is someone else targeting her? Emmett and Belle team up to help protect her and in an attempt to bring the perpetrator(s) to justice but will they be the next victims instead?
This really is an action packed crime thriller with so many twists and turns to keep you guessing. It involves family drama, fantastic canine heroes and a great team of officers in this fascinating read. I'm really enjoying learning more about K-9 officers and this is a brilliant read and great addition to this entertaining read. I have no hesitation in highly recommending it!
