So this was a blast of a read. I really had so much fun returning to this couple and getting an extended epilogue. This novella is just more of a story with the short epilogue that we received at the end of "Extreme Exposure" and this story is basically about our hero and heroine who are engaged and go into a bet of who can cave to sexual pressure before the wedding day. But this doesn't turn out to be a fun bet as either of them imagined that it would be. It ends up putting some harm into their relationship, and soon they will have to dig deep into why they took the bet in the first place and was it worth their love or hurting each other in the process.
This novella was charming. I love those extended epilogue type of novellas that we get that get more depth in a event and really enjoyed seeing our couple overcome the conflict that they were faced with and realize the truth of what was going on for them. If you enjoyed the first book with our couple, than I highly recommend this one here which will charm and delight ....give you some laugh out loud moments and some smexy swoon moments to remember.

Play My Game is a novel part of the Stark saga and this book is part of the extended epilogue series that is done by this author to give us more insights into this couple after they have received their HEA. In Play My Game, its coming up on their anniversary on Valentines Day (those who have read this couple know how important this day is to them specifically) and Damien Stark, is wanting to do something special for his wife Nikki, and embarks on a challenge for her, a bit of a game, where she has to discover clues to get to the special gift he has for her. This is especially delightful to read if you have loved these books and especially this couple. And it does have some connections to the Stark International series as we do have a moment of running into Jackson.
I absolutely had such a BALL OF FUN with Damien and Nikki again. It was truly so wonderful to get back to this couple. so much so I am debating doing a re read of them lol They are most definitely one of my favorite couples for contemporary. Seeing them all in love with each other and just embracing the domestic lifestyle was beyond endearing. It kept me with a smile on my face and with a bit of mystery as they are being blackmailed.
Overall I had a blast with this novella and returning to this wonderful world that captured my heart years ago!

After having fallen in love with the first book and the other connecting series to this series, I knew I couldn't wait for more from this MC and this setting of the shop. And you know I didn't even read the blurb once I received this copy from NetGalley and this author is one of those that I don't need to, I just know I will enjoy the ride that she will take me on.
In Custom Made, our heroine is a bi sexual character, Cameron Davis. Cam is an artist and after spending a short time in prison due to ill spent mistakes of her youth, she starts over in a new town and working in a motorcycle custom shop and using her artistic talent to create beautiful works of art in motorcycles. When she goes out clubbing with a group of girl friends, she meets a man that works all her engines in all the best ways, and thinking she would never see him again, even though she wants to she is shocked to learn that he is THE Orion Stenton. A man with wealth, power in all the corners of the city. And that man is the one she spent her one night stand with, but also the man that hurt her. Orion knows he made a mistake with Cam in hurting her but is determined to prove to her his feelings for her are genuine in every way.
I adored Custom Made in many respects but I will say that this isn't my favorite read from this author. I was slightly disappointed in this one here. I just didn't feel the chemistry between these two for much of the book and considering the elements that come into play here, I was really excited to see it and the romance just fell a bit flat for me. But that isn't to say that I didn't enjoy this one here at all because I can tell you I greatly enjoy this edition of this series and curious to see where this author plans on taking this series. But it was still an easy quick read that I got swept up in. I adore both characters individually, I just didn't connect to the "spark" I normally have come to expect from this author.

This was such a charming novella and its free on J.Kenner's website. I loved getting this glimpse into Jackson and Sylvia. They were so charming to get back to and I had forgotten how much I loved these two together. There is something so fun about the Stark world that this author has created. I really loved the way that this book developed and we also see such fascinating blend of heart and emotion. This novella is mostly surrounding Sylvia being pregnant, and some struggles they have as a family with some complications happening there. It had so much heart and deep emotion and if you love getting these HEA glimpses that give you all the feels, then I highly recommend it. ...more

Tiger's Daughter is a story that the moment that I saw this on the shelf from my local library, I knew that I had to read it. So I definitely grabbed this one up here. Tiger is one of my favorite characters in the series so I definitely wanted to read any book that connects to him. This story features the love match between Connor and Tiger's daughter. And what a powerful match that they made. I really felt like this story was so well done. It kept me on edge and the plot was very well crafter. The characters just have this connection to each other that is powerful. I especially adored our heroine. Even though she has powerful abilities and can kick ass when she needs to ....she can also be so nurturing and loving as well. She stands by her mate and helps him through his transition but she also is fierce in protecting him but not in a overbearing feminist way at all. She is such a well balanced character that I couldn't get enough of in this one. I also was so intrigued to see where the author would take this story and some breadcrumbs of some serial plot gets dropped I was over in the moon in love with that. Jennifer Ashley really crafts such beautiful stories and I was on board completely with this here.
What seemed to impress me the most about this story was seeing how well the heroine stands by her man. She is also the perfect match for Connor especially once everything is revealed about his heritage, you really see he would need a mate that would be just as strong if not more powerful than he is and what a team they will make. We also have the aspects of Connor and Tiger's Daughter knowing each other for years. So they have this solid friendship that is in the foundation of their relationship and they both know they are each other's mates but it isn't until Connor's transition that their relationship goes from platonic to fiercely passionate. There is such positive flow in their bond to each other. But also Connor has ALWAYS had such a close connection to Tiger as well and Tiger is very accepting of their mating. In fact, he practically encourages it even knowing what he may be losing, he has always known they were meant to be together. I loved that so deeply.
Overall I had a charming time with "Tiger's Daughter" and I can't wait to see more of this series and get caught up on these books because these shifter romances are just FUN!! ...more

I absolutely had a BLAST with this book and Lake is my favorite book of the series...hands down. While I have had fun with the others, this one was a story I seemed to connect with on a deeper level with. And what is the most hilarious about it is the fact that I was the most nervous about this one. In the blurb it hints at the heroine having this plan to do things to make the hero hate her so she doesn't have to marry him but the moment she meets him she knows that he is her only hope for happiness and true freedom from her situation and what freedom she finds with Lake and its so precious and beautiful. I love how in these books the spice is low key and not as focused. Its very refreshing, its there but its not heavy in the story which is what I really appreciate about Michelle Heard.
I found their romance to be so endearing and how he courts her so sweetly just melted my heart! ...more

Falcon is a great work and I am so happy that I decided to pick up this seriesMy Review (May contain spoilers, fair warning upon reading this review)
Falcon is a great work and I am so happy that I decided to pick up this series because I have been wanting to work through some of her backlist. I have to say I did NOT expect to see what I saw in this one here. I LOVED the way that this book was written. It was borderline rom-com in my opinion. Even though it could technically be considered a borderline dark romance, it had such a comedy feel to the story and had me laughing all over the place. The setup of the story is a bit instant love and forced proximity, there is a bit of bully romance to this but its very low key. So if you want to test the waters for a bully romance or something a bit softer in that regard, you definitely should try this one out.
We see a hero who has high expectations but has a mother who removes any affection and love out of the home and only cares about her socialite status. He has only known coldness until he meets Layla who is the daughter of his father's secretary. She sees the man and not the money or prestige or his social status and he finds that so refreshing. Their romance starts steady as there is a strong attraction between them from the beginning. But Falcon is her protector when the bullies start to circle her. There is a charm that enters their relationship. Falcon and Layla get along just right and I enjoyed the dynamics that enter into the romance. They might seem like opposites in many ways, but they also click in the right ways that truly matter. I truly fell hard for this story because it had such a great mix of elements that work well for me. Now the writing is a bit slow in the first half, but it quickly gains speed and I definitely found it to be hard to put down once I really got into the story.
The romance was pretty low angst for the most part and I found that really refreshing. The complexity of Falcon's family was really fun to see get worked through. The only negative aspects to the story is that there were a couple of plot holes and there is a serial plot cliffhanger (no worries the couple ends up together) but I definitely need to read book 2 so I can find out what happens. ...more

The second book which is also the conclusion to Johnny and Shannon's story. In this one it picks up right off of where Binding 13 ends. Now this conclusion was so heartbreaking at times. It really strikes a deep chord with you on a human level. We see the determination and commitment that our pair have together. There is even more forbidden feels in this book due to the circumstances. I just felt for these two and what they have to overcome. Shannon is having to deal with feeling even more trapped with her new situation but willing to sacrifice so much just to have some alone time with Johnny. Johnny really shows his true colors in what he is able to sacrifice for his girl in this one here. I just wanted so much to see these two find their way through their struggles. And really well the whole family of Shannon I just wanted to cry for. We also get some great laughs with the group of Johnny's friends. We also see the difference between Shannon's home to Johnny's home. The difference between loving supportive parents and parents that are only out for their own interests. I had so much love for Johnny and Shannon and their group. Seeing these two find their own way, that is different than what everyone else would have for them was so poignant at times in the strength of their relationship together.
I had a beautiful experience reading the beginning of the Boys of Tommen. Its a story of pain and sacrifice, but of healing and growth and fighting for the one that you love that concludes with such hope and promise. A TRUE GEM AND A TOP READ OF THE YEAR!...more

BlackWolfe is the 14th installment in the de WolfeMy Review (Fair warning that there are spoilers, so please be responsible upon reading this review)
BlackWolfe is the 14th installment in the de Wolfe Pack series, but you can easily read this as a standalone if needed. I absolutely adored this story so deeply. I never know what to expect when I pick up a Le Veque if I am being honest. But her books I just know from the get-go that I will enjoy. I was so in love with this family and they are probably my favorite family grouping that this author has done.
This story really struck deeply because I resonated with the hero especially. He had such vulnerabilities. He never thought he was good enough and a failure to the de Wolfe name. He never felt valued by his father or his family and was different than his siblings. He had unique talents that led him down a different path to be the King's negotiator. He faces some real challenges but we such vibrant character growth from him.
The romance that develops is quite interesting. I did feel like this aspect was a bit lower than I expected from a Le Veque. I will say that they do some courting which was fun to see, but its low key and not heavily focused on. I did enjoy the conflict and the underhanded revenge plot from the villain that connects to Williams' story. Very fascinating connections that the author used there. Even though there could have been a bit more focus on the romantic elements, I had a blast with this book and I definitely give cause for this to the narrator. Brad Wills just did such a great job with this book and is a big reason this rating is as high as it is.
Overall I had a blast with this book and eager to see the rest of the de Wolfe pack books. ...more

Hades is the next installment in the "Demonica Underworld" series that features the 1001 Dark Nights series. I really was excited to read Hades. I love him as a demi god (in fact he is probably my favorite other than Poseidon) and I was curious to see how Larissa Ione would handle his character. I adore a tortured hero and he was such a tortured hero. My heart went out to Hades, he really had been neglecting himself and been torturing himself. We really see him work on redeeming himself and I admired this element within the story. I also was curious to see how this romance would develop. The heroine was so likeable. I enjoyed her journey and seeing her fight for Hades was so empowering. Loved their fun witty banter that these two have together and mix that in with the suspenseful plot in the underworld was so intriguing. We also have a forbidden element to their romance. We see the ways in which they learn to fight for each other. And Azagoth was pretty funny in this one lol Typical Ione male. The more I read this world the more I want to read more of the Demonica world. If you are a fan of this world, highly recommend these novellas. So well done! ...more
