I just didn't want to put this one down, IClaim Me Forever is the third book in the series and it just might be one of my favorites from this author. I just didn't want to put this one down, I was so easily consumed into this one. I really was endeared by this story. Its a story that features some unique dynamics of a grumpy hero. This setup is where our heroine has been drawn to the small town hunting her sister who has gone missing. The hero is a widow when his wife was murdered and taking care of his three children. The hero rescues Savannah in what he believes is a homeless situation. As Savannah and Ezra learn to trust each other, they both have secrets from each other. Seeing these two that have both suffered differing types of pain, learn to trust one another. We also have some adorable children moments within this story that utterly charmed me. I will admit the NARRATION is what made this book a five-star. It just elevates the writing style. But I will say that the writing style may not work for everyone.
The romance was sexy and fun and packed with deep emotion. There is something about this series that just works for me in every way. I also had a blast with the suspense plot. And how it connects Ezra's late wife to Savannah's sister was perfection. I am loving seeing suspense becoming more mainstream. We also see how well these two get along together. They are very in sync with each other. And love how the conflict between their relationship wasn't dragged out. Very superb! ...more

Mr Sin was a delightful story and I did have a fun time with this one. The premise between them was interesting. I didn't really understand the angst that developed between these two though. It just didn't make sense to me. It kinda felt like the drama was used as a filler for the story. The spice was top notch and I enjoyed the relationship between the hero and his daughter. There is something precious about a single father of a little girl. Some of the writing in this one could have been better though. I just wasn't a fan of how preachy the author gets in this one for certain feminist politics. Just rubbed me the wrong way in how it was written and did ruin my enjoyment of the story at times. But if you don't mind books getting preachy at times, then I do recommend it to you, just wasn't my taste. Will check out her older books as those most likely aren't as political but also didn't have the touch of Nero or Dom in it either. But still a solid read that I easily got swept into. ...more

Its not Jennifer Ryan type of story, but it was enjoyable and had some charm to it that really worked for me. I loved the mystery and the secrets that the heroine had. And it was interesting how they were revealed. Some ways I was on board with, but others I wish it had been better developed for those reveals. I did enjoy how the suspense aspects were revealed in the end. I really enjoyed the romance though, the single parent aspect and how these two were able to resolve their issues from the past. I really enjoy this author, she isn't a five star author, but these books are solid fun and love seeing them have a suspense focus as I think romantic suspense is making a comeback. There is a solid friendships being showcased and I really enjoy how this author crafts the suspense plots in some ways. Very interested in the next book as there were ties in this book for it. ...more

I really had a blast with this one and it adds something so much more to the story that I didn't expect. The hero makes a mistake here, one that doesn't get fully investigated, but maybe it will be revealed in the finale book of the series where there is a suspicion of Crow being drugged. But we also see him learning to fight for his girl and having to come clean with not just his woman but also her family and loved his redemption. We also see the finale of the plot that has been building over the last two books. I really enjoyed seeing how this one developed and the way in which they both get tested in the third act was brilliantly played out. This one was fully satisfying and I had a blast seeing Crow and Rylynn get their perfect ending here! ...more

This is a book I had such high hopes for and as you can tell from my rating, this book was NOT for me. It was one of the most toxic relationships I have ever read and I honestly can't believe this book came from Linda Kage. Its just nothing like anything I have ever seen her write. Also if you struggle with secret baby aspects that can turn toxic, then avoid this one here. My biggest issue was the heroine in this one and her reasons for keeping the secret. And to be honest I was not invested in their relationship at all. The child is the one that found the father, the mother wouldn't have ever told him and yeah she didn't have good enough reasons for it. I think the only aspect of the story that was redeemable was the father daughter relationship that is built within this book. I really adored that aspect and I could have cared less about these two being together. They weren't good for each other and there is a ton of mistrust especially on the side from the heroine. Basically she doesn't trust him at all, makes her own judgments, ends their relationship, tells him she had a miscarriage that was no miscarriage, and raises their daughter without him knowing. She knowingly deceives him from the truth and then is shocked that he wants time with his daughter. I think I would have DNF'd this one if it hadn't been Linda Kage at the helm of it. So just be aware before moving forward into this story. ...more

This is a set of books that bring together oneConnected in Pain is the first of three books that feature one couple which is Crow and Rylynn's story. This is a set of books that bring together one of the most beautiful couples that this author has ever written. I absolutely adored everything about this couple. Both the hero and heroine understand the biker world and the heroine grew up in it as she is Reece's daughter. So she and Crow in this book have a secret fling. They don't really tell hardly anyone, especially her family. In this book is just the beginning of what they are about. I really adored these two together. Rylynn is strong and feisty but respectful and understanding of what is expected of her.I really enjoyed how she is with Crow and understands the MC life but also doesn't push the hero. She waits for him to make the right move. We also see her family bonds with her own family. And the family complications that are with Crow.
Definitely a story that I couldn't put down and had to jump into the next one. ...more
Caught Up is the third installment in the "Windy City" series and this is Kai and Miller's book. This was a book that I had the most excitement for thCaught Up is the third installment in the "Windy City" series and this is Kai and Miller's book. This was a book that I had the most excitement for this year. The premise of this story had me so excited and I loved the first two books, they were some of the most perfect romances I have ever had the pleasure to read. And after seeing all the positive ratings, I had high expectations that this would be such a hit for me.
I am very sad to say that this is one of the worst books that I have read this year. And honestly, if it hadn't been Liz Tomforde writing this book, I would have DNF'd this book. I really tried to stay open minded with this one here but this one was very hard to enjoy. My struggle came with the heroine here. She was so challenging and I couldn't get to the point where I could remotely enjoy this one. I practically forced myself to read this book, hoping that it would improve and I would see some fraction of character growth but I never really saw it. I did not like Miller at all. She was difficult and quite frankly a bit of a harpy at times. She was continually pushing Kai away and almost putting him down emotionally because he wasn't as carefree as she thought he should be. She was always trying to change him. The personality of the heroine was so aggravating. She just had a very annoying personality and seemed to be mocking Kai over everything he seemed to say. Quite frankly she acted more like a 10 year old with temper tantrums than a 25 year old adult woman. Kai was an okay hero but the overpowering character of Miller overpowered any kind of personality we could have seen from Kai. The only redeeming qualities in this story were the moments when Max was involved. This story has completely lost any excitement I could have on future books from this author and I will be waiting on reviews for future books before picking them up.
Caught up had a beautiful premise but the execution wasn't done very well. Unfortunately this book didn't work for me and am a bit baffled by all the five star ratings if I am being honest. But hopefully the next book will be more like the first two books will strong character growth, likeable characters and a better execution....more

After The Music is the perfect book to kick off into the Autumn spooky season we are about to head into. I am not sure why I put this book My Review:
After The Music is the perfect book to kick off into the Autumn spooky season we are about to head into. I am not sure why I put this book off as long as I did but I found it truly fascinating. It had so many great things to the story overall. I loved the gothic theme to it, the almost haunted castle manor that the hero lives on in a island, then we have the theme of the Christmas season, with a blend of beauty and beast in a way. There is a solid haunting almost musical theme to the story. We also have such a tortured hero in this one and man he is the KING of broody heroes.
The setup is the the hero was married to a young woman who went crazy when she got consumed by ritualistic religion that was obsessive and cultish. They had two young children together, but when the hero lost his wife in the fire and got burned horribly in the attempt to save his children, he became a recluse and hid away. The heroine, Judith, is one of his closest childhood friends and the guardian over his children with him not capable of raising them. But when some dangerous things start to occur, she takes advantage of the Christmas season, to bring the children to their father, no matter how much he may protest, he is the best protection they have with their lives in danger.
Judith and Dillon reconnect and their chemistry burns just beneath the surface. We see that chemistry build, they really have some slight angst with each other, but really they just need to burn off some off their angst lol I loved the kids and the other members of the band that are part of the story. The villain was a true surprise, not who I expected at all.
The only downside to the story was the pacing. I was actually shocked I was struggling with a Feehan so much. I think part of this is more a reader issue than necessarily a book issue. I have really been struggling with reading lately and some of that is health issues. So I wouldn't be surprised if that is a big part of that. But I believe I have completed Feehan's backlist so lets CELEBRATE THAT!!! haha ...more
