I’m grumpy about how some things in this book unfolded. I want to rate the story four stars purely out of spite, but it deserves better, so I settled on 4.5 stars. Here’s what I thought of this installment…
40% Completion I'm getting really sick and tired of how Cayan is upstaging Shanti in literally every way in this book.
He is the strongest. He is the fastest. He is the most powerful. He is the best fighter. He is the best leader for the Shadow Army. He is the Chosen One who matters. Does he even need Shanti? Apparently not, according to literally every single person they meet!! The Shadow Warriors feel confident following him.
Why does a man have to come along and overshadow any female who has strength, influence, and talent? I'm feeling pretty bitter and betrayed by the story and author right now.
100% Completion Shanti has taken back some of her power. Well, it would be more accurate to say that Cayan has given Shanti some of her power back. However, none of their allies who acknowledged how amazing, great, perfect, wonderful, and powerful Cayan is (while also disregarding Shanti) ever changed their opinions. So I'm still kind of bitter about it.

Whew! This book was even more nerve-racking than the first! Shanti, Cayan, and their group are headed toward the coast so she can reach the Shadowlands and fulfill her role as the Chosen. However, after an unexpected rescue, they must outmaneuver and evade the dangerous enemy Superior Officer known as the Hunter. The Hunter always gets his prey. Do Shanti and Cayan even have a chance?
This book is just as masterful as the first. The world-building is phenomenal—I feel like I’ve been transported to another time and place. The characters feel so real, and the character development is exceptional. Even the side characters are well-rounded and fully fleshed out! The battle scenes are a work of art. I adore the banter between these characters, especially Shanti and Rhonan; I’m so glad she has her brother and Chance back to keep her grounded and lighten her up. Shanti really does need him. I’m also excited to see the relationship between Shanti and Cayan fully develop.
This book and series are amazing and fully deserve the five-star rating I’m giving it

What an amazing duet!! I absolutely adored reading this story ❤️
Quick Synopsis Vale is a single omega. She’s 8 months pregnant and alone, living in poverty, working two jobs just to survive. When she starts feeling unsafe as her stalker turns up the pressure, Vale turns to one of her Cam site clients for help. Bishop has been in love with Vale for the past two years, and he has slowly worked to earn her trust through the cam site. When Vale is in danger, he is determined to keep her and the baby safe. Add in the rest of his (newly formed) pack and a marriage of convenience, and you have an excellent story.
I can't tell you how surprised and happy I am to have read this book-I absolutely loved it! When I first read the 4.5 Fantastic Sweet Omegaverse Stars
I can't tell you how surprised and happy I am to have read this book-I absolutely loved it! When I first read the description, I was nervous. It sounded like the guys would be mad at FMC, and the story would turn into a bully or enemies-to-lovers situation. I'm not a fan of bully Omegaverse books...
Thankfully, that was not the case here.
The Story In this book, we meet Sloane, our ballerina FMC. Sloane is a depressed, sad, and lonely omega. Her dream of having a pack was shattered when she discovered that her scent-sensitive fated mate was her best friend, Asher. Thinking Asher was blissfully happy in his new relationship, Sloane fled before he could find out they were meant to be together. She couldn't bear to ruin his happiness or risk disappointing him. Five years later, Asher and his pack unexpectedly appear at her ballet, revealing they are all her fated mates. Now that Ash and his pack know Sloane is theirs, they are determined not to let her slip away again.
“You don’t think if I’d known we were scent-sympathetic, I would have never looked at anyone else? One breath from you and I would have been yours.”
(Note: This quote is great, but the double negatives make me cringe.)
The Review This story was excellent, albeit a little long. The relationships were beautifully portrayed, and the pacing felt natural and realistic. I'm a sucker for sweet Omegaverse tales, especially when there's no internal harem drama. The guys were all devoted from the outset, which remained consistent throughout.

"I feel like I'm a little bit...crazy? This morning, when Ronan answered his phone during breakfast, I instantly whined for his full attention. That one was so embarrassing, I nearly ran out of the house to begin a new life. …And then cried about how horribly sad I would be if I actually left."
In this story, we meet Megara (Meg), a 24-year-old omega who is utterly alone in the world. Her mother was a lone alpha who expected Meg to become an alpha as well. Mother taught Meg all the essentials of being an alpha while subtly demeaning anything to do with being an omega. When Mother died suddenly when Meg was only 14, Meg was left to grow up in group homes, completely shocked and appalled when she presented as an omega.
Now, as an adult, Meg suppresses her omega instincts, ashamed of her designation and doing everything to deny it. Desperate for a job and healthcare coverage, she pretends to be a beta and applies to be the social media manager for an NFL team owned by the Ash Pack. But the Ash Pack are her scent-sensitive, fated mates, and her life is about to be turned upside down.
First, this author is so incredibly talented that I'm blown away! She brought out all the feels in this novel. I laughed, cried happy tears, sobbed, and felt devastated. I was so overwhelmed by all of the feelings this author was able to evoke—it was really impressive
That said, not all of those feelings were positive. One of the four alphas, Declan, is an absolute jerkwad for about 75-80% of the story. Yes, I get that he has deep-seated emotional trauma, and yes, I understand he wasn’t quite as terrible as it seemed from Meg’s perspective. Still, some groveling, apologizing, or making amends would have been nice, instead of simply moving on together after the issues were resolved.
Anyone who reads my reviews knows I’m not very forgiving when it comes to men treating the FMC like trash. But somehow—I’m pretty sure black magic was involved—I was able to forgive Declan and didn’t have any lingering resentment by the end. I honestly don’t know how the author pulled that off.
Anyway, this book has become one of my all-time favorite sweet-omegaverse novels, and I can’t wait to read more from this author!
Side Note: This series is not complete!! Books 1-3 are out, but the main story and plotlines aren’t anywhere near wrapped up.

This is an amazing fantasy series, but this review is just for book one.
Quick Synopsis Adaline Storm is 22 years old and absolutely miserable with her life. She’s halfway suicidal, depressed, and withdrawn. She has anxiety attacks and suffers from PTSD. Once a professional Olympic swimmer, she’s now disconnected from everything she loves, working a dead-end job as a low-paid waitress. One day, while on a fishing boat, a waterspout appears and sweeps her away, depositing her on the beach of a different, more primal world—one with magic, goddesses, and a new destiny for the newly minted Ada Stormbrave.
Review This book was fabulous! This is my second read-through, and I’m enjoying it just as much this time. The world-building is phenomenal. While the character development is a bit lacking so far, Ada has only just met most of the other characters. I love the magic system—it’s very well thought out. All in all, I love this story and recommend it to anyone who enjoys these kinds of fantasy tropes.

Duet Review: 4.5 Dark Vampire Stars
"I will tear the world apart until there is nothing but ruins left, and I will rip the hearts out of the chests of anyone that dares get in my way of finding my own."
I am so glad I downloaded the first book in this duet for free from the RomanceBookworms.com 2400 Stuff Your Kindle event. I never would have discovered this series otherwise and that would have been a such a shame!
This is an enemies-to-lovers story where it truly started off with a bang. Silas needs a nurse to take care of his dying friend and, much to his aggravation, Ian (the dying friend) demands this one nurse in particular. So Silas kidnaps her. And blackmails her. And keeps her held hostage in his house, never to leave the premises until her job is complete. These two clash in hottest way. Quincy (FMC) is far from the docile, scared, hostage that Silas excepts her to be.
“I didn’t wait hundreds of years to find you, only to lose you. You’re mine. The angel of death himself will have to take you from me, that’s the only way I’m letting go of you now.”
This was one of those rare series where I was so sad it was finished. I really want to keep reading about this couple and their future adventures. I got so attached to the main characters. I loved their journey. I loved everything about this duet and I'm really sad their story is over. But I'm glad to have discovered this author and I'm extremely excited to read more from her.
I have to tell you, this author is really really good at character development. I mean she does such an excellent job with it that she's able to make us really connect with these people. She can write characters and events so well that I was 100% invested in everything that happened with them. Everybody in this story was multifaceted and unique. There is no black and white here. No one is all bad or all good. They were all complex and they had backstories and emotions and...and...and...I was even super attached to the side characters! I don't usually care about side characters!
“Did you just use a severed arm like a baseball bat on that guy’s head?” Wiping my bloody hands on my pants, I shrug. “That’s fucking brilliant. I’m a little jealous I’ve never done that before.”
The world building was amazingly done.
The relationship building couldn't have been done better!
The steam was on point. It was a solid 3.5/5 on the spice scale. Not too much but not too little. These books are definitely story/plot driven while still giving us the spice that we need. The author balances it all really well.
I will definitely be rereading this series in the future and I'm already excited about it. Maybe I'll even reread them right now......more

OMG, this book was so good. I’ve never read anything from this author before, but I’m so excited to have discovered her. This author has a serious gift for pulling out all the feels. I’m not even kidding. I spent this entire book smiling and laughing and crying right along with the characters!
“I want you, Indy. I want us. I want our little life we’ve built even when we thought we were pretending. I want you in our house because you’ve made it a home. I want your mess and your chaos. I want your genuine smiles, the ones you wear when you’re around my sister, the hockey team, and me. I want you happy, and I want to be the reason you are. I want you to choose me.”
I don’t even think I’m capable of writing anything else about this story without getting weepy. Seriously. This book was perfect. 10/10. It’s going to become one of my absolute favorite sports romance books ever, right along with “The Wall of Winnipeg & Me”
