We learn our guy's pasts, and the sad tale of Happy, who we've met in previous stories, and Happy's horrible basement treatment.

[image] No one would believe him if he told anyone, you'll see what I mean when you read it. He has tried to get out of his "hell". A friend has noticed his bruises, limps, stiffness, etc., and has asked an experienced investigator to find out what's going on with shy, skinny, Doctor Andrew. Big, American Indian, with long black hair, Bear Black, is a Dirty Dozen Motorcycle Club member.
After the wedding in the opening, DB asks Bear to do him the favor, and Bear is accepting immediately. He stakes out Andrew's house, watches, follows, and does the same for the wife. When a turn of events prompts Bear to check out the house, he finds Andrew unconscious, duct taped, and bloody from head to toe. He rescues the man, cares for him, and learns a lot about him.
This is a tale of brutal abuse, rescue, and healing. Andrew gets care from Bear's friends also. We see previous characters from the series, and they are fabulous.
Bear and Andrew are amazing together, and the anticipation and sex are exciting. There is still much to go for total healing.
I love a Stormy Glenn story, and this was is a winner. Highly recommend. ENJOY !

Golden Bear - This started out so cute, with shy Norm bringing the city worker a mug of hot cocoa after the destructive storm. They have some meals, etc. and ends abruptly. Maybe I just missed the intent.
Banyon Court - In Hawaii, teacher Dan, and Hank, a Marine surfing instructor meet. Lots of historical event descriptions, ceremonial rites, and dance interpretation are the main focus of this pair. More spiritual in their heritage. I had to look up SO many words, and there was unusual language, details of history, cultural references galore. I admit I was lost in it.
The Bear and the Bar - A "freaky Friday" fairy tale. After an altercation at a bar, Dex was mean to a bear, a chubby guy, Dex wakes up balding, fat, and in a strange house. Lesson learned. [image]
Amped - Toby, 20, and older bear, Wolf, are hot together. It's a different story, a BJ in the alley, then a walk, these sexy men go home to Wolf's. * I wanted MORE !

Jonah Cade with his smoky gray eyes, wow ! [image] Aldrin wants to get to know him. So, he smiled brightly and told Jonah about a deer, or interesting animal, and made conversation. The next week, Jonah left him a carving. After Aldrin was beaten badly by three men, Jonah spoke up and wanted to help. But the next time Aldrin was beaten, Jonah took him home to his mountain. I love Stormy Glenn's rich characters, the interest and action in her plot, and the deeply meaningful and sizzling sex scenes. [image]

He needed to get his attitude adjusted earlier. He's a grown up, and needed to stop laying his crabbiness at hard working Elijah.
