This was such a delight. I was laughing out loud absolutely hilarious. Hayes is fairly rigid in the beginning and Begonia is carefree embrace life in unusual ways. At the start of the book you are swept away with Hayes horrified reaction to what is going on in his house and Begonia has some really hilarious moments. Wonderful read....more

This consists of short essays of the life of John Hodgman. John Hodgman is a comedic man who wrote for the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Some of the stories are quite funny and in some ways I can understand how his mind works because I have had some similar thoughts in my time. I thought this was a fun read overall. ...more

When her neighbor peaks her interest, Kennedy takes her wheelchair and goes to introduce herself, what she doesn't expect is the cruelty of Tristan Blackwood.
Tristan is a jerk, self professed and he doesn't care what others think. When Kennedy becomes his newest toy to play with he reels her in only to do his best to tear her apart. Can Tristan find a reason to stop self destructing or is he doomed to fail?
I liked aspects of this one but Tristan was beyond bully, he was cruel at times. I liked Kennedy story reminded me of a mix between Bates Motel and Gossip Girl. Had a lot of potential but at times too over the top bullying wise....more

There is a tragic history to the house and it looks like the legacy of evil is about to repeat itself. When people begin to disappear though, will Ben be able to get the answers he is looking for or become a suspect?
This was very good and you could visualize every aspect but at times it was choppy as it jumped from characters to characters. Overall I did like the book thought there was a ton of subplots going on but would try another of Stephen King's books. ...more

His plan is to stay under the radar until the trial happens that will give him back his life, or at least a part of it. What Kyle didn't expect was is determined neighbor who rambles movie quotes and doesn't seem to understand the word no.
Kyle tries to stay away as he knows he is a tarnished soul to Jane's sweet and innocent charm. Jane though seems to find every loophole to spend time with Kyle and he can only resist so much. Kyle makes Jane understand whatever they have will end, he is leaving but Jane hopes to change his mind. Of course she doesn't know anything about Kyle's past and when it comes knocking at her door, she doesn't know who to trust.
There is a lot to this story, I mentioned a few of the highlights but loved Jane she is quirky and you can't help smile every time she interacts with Kyle. I don't envy Kyle, he did what he had to do but you sense he holds a lot of shame and guilt about it. Stand out book for Sawyer Bennett, one of my favorites....more

Tear jerker for sure, this was heartbreaking at times and you are wanting to know what exactly happened. The story goes back and forth from past to present as it unfolds. Absolutely amazing read....more

I went back and forth on 3 or 4 stars. I gave it 4 for originality. It is a very wordy story which normally I like but it is like breakneck speed. Action packed but also a cliffhanger which drives me nuts when reading with no warning it is a cliffhanger. Will pick up the others to see what happened but wish it had been one story....more

Beautiful. Not much to say about this one but reminded me of Kristen Ashley's earlier books, like At Peace, The Gamble. Loved Amelia, I had put off reading this because I wasn't sure what she had done to lose her kids but as it unfolded it made sense and so realistic I could easily identify with her. Mickey was wonderful, he is gruff and straight to the point which has you going gaga for his character. Excellent....more

Micah is the Deputy Sheriff of Seashell Bay and he wants to explore what is between them, but she is tied to New York. Will Holly see what is right in front of her or follow her career?
This is a friends to lovers romance. I liked Micah and there were some really fun moments when he was dealing with the local residents. Holly you understand from the get go that she is conflicted and as the story unfolds you get why. I liked this couple a lot, great beach read.

Quickly paced. I liked the differences between Miranda and Evan. Evan is a bit of an enigma, he is really closed off but lets Miranda in. Miranda is a spitfire, very entertaining heroine. Can't wait for more in the Sinclair series....more

Heath is back and the Caitlyn he knew is long gone. Caitlyn is in college, she is dating the It guy on campus, Ethan, and they are beginning a life together. It is all interrupted when Heath tries to insert himself back into Caitlyn's life. Every carefully placed piece in Caitlyn's life is about to implode, now she finds herself leaning on Heath but can she trust him again?
This was interesting but it crossed a plot line I have a hard time with, cheating. I found it really hard to click with Heath, is is kind of aloof and I couldn't quite wrap my head around what he did. Caitlyn, I think she wanted a better life but I think she also lost a part of herself in doing so. Wanted to like but it was just okay for me.

Now Josephine has returned to Lavender Hill for her funeral and she feels empty. Josephine has built a life of traveling around the world working for a famous photographer, she has friends but no one who really sees what is behind her shield.
Finding out that her grandmother willed her to retired boxer and stripper bar owner Jake Spear, Josephine doesn't know what to think. Jake is willing to honor Lydia's wishes, she did a lot for his three kids and he loved her as well. However Josephine is completely opposite of Jake, she is pure class and talks like a sophisticated woman. Jake calls it as he sees it and works for what he provides to his kids.
As Josephine takes a chance to get to know Jake, she finds herself falling for him and his kids. She begins to open her eyes to what is in front of her. Can she let those who are by her side in and live the life she was meant to lead?
I thought this was truly beautiful. I enjoyed the way Josephine spoke, it was more like a Jane Austin way of doing it but it worked. Jake has a hard time not chuckling when Josephine lets her temper flare. The chemistry is off the charts and it is the first of what I hope is a long series. Loved every minute of this book....more
