I've been meaning to try this dramatized full-cast production for so long. Why did I wait this long? It is absolutely FANTASTIC! Gosh, I so love Anne Shirley! ☺️
This is a star studded cast. Marillia, is portrayed by the legendary Catherine O'Hara. Matthew, by the fabulous Victor Garber and Anne is portrayed brilliantly by the wonderful Michela Luci. If you adore Anne of Green Gables this audio is a must!

A charming and heartfelt story with some elements of Christian fiction. I listened to the audible and enjoyed it.
This is a dual time line story. One taking place in 1976 and one in present day. The 1976 timeline was my favourite. I loved listening about Rebecca Saint James who was the 'Queen of Etiquette and dinner parties' in her little town of Beaufort, North Carolina. One day Rebecca and her husband, Townsend (who we hear from in a couple of chapters of his own) disappear after a dinner party. Their children are distraught and shut-up the home for almost 50 years. In the present time her Granddaughter, Keaton shows up to finally put the house up for sale. She walks into a home that has been untouched since 1976. She also finds her Grandmother's diary of recipes and etiquette and begins to read it. Keaton is dealing from a heartbreak and her Grandmother's diary and the small town will help her to heal and learn to live again and quite possibly love again too.
I loved reading about Rebecca Saint James' story. I couldn't quite put the pieces together about her disappearance until near the end. I also loved the town of Beaufort and all the sweet townspeople. Keaton's story was a little on the slower side and it took me a bit to warm to her. I'm still not quite sure I liked the way the story ended. It took away from the story a little for me hence minus the half a star.
I enjoyed the author's style of writing and the overall message left me with a warm feeling when I finished the book....more

The story is good and I always wanted to keep listening. It's told in a then and now format. Elliot and Macy meet as teenagers and fall in love. We hear their backstory. They are quite sweet. In the present timeline they meet by a fluke encounter and eventually find their way back to eachother.
There were some aspects to this story that I do not care for in my romances. That brought it down a little for me. I was anticipating finding out why they broke up so long ago. Some of it did not sit well with me either. I think I'm left with some questions about this one. All in all it was a pretty good one for me and I'd still try another Christina Lauren book....more

This kicks off in a rush with a frantic 911 call. A wealthy couple has been found in their home. The husband dead. The wife gravely injured. What happened to this couple? Did the two kids try to kill their own Mother and Step-Father? Is there something more sinister going on? If you like piecing together a mystery and enjoy a dramatized audio with a full cast then this ones for you! Pure entertainment!

This is a futuristic type of story about men becoming pregnant. The tables are turned in every scenario. Kind of humorous but serious at the same time. Very thought provoking and interesting no matter what side of the fence you are on. The message is excellent.

I listened to the audio and the narration is top-notch. In the beginning I was really captivated by the story. I was trying to figure out just what Evie was up to and what was going to happen with her and Ryan. It was going pretty well and then the flashbacks to Evie's other jobs started to happen. I did not enjoy those at all. I understand where the author was going adding in the back history but I think they were confusing. Then James and Lucca appeared in the story and I thought, "Oh yeah now this is getting good!" Then BAM! They were gone and the story took a nosedive. I really couldn't wait to finish it.
I do think with the right amount of tweaking this could work well as a limited series perhaps on Netflix. I'd watch it. For me this book had great potential but just ended up being ok. Nothing special for me and I don't get the hype ...more

Really enjoyed the Audio! Beautiful writing that pulls on the heartstrings!
This is a dual time line and it's written very well. The time lines just flow together ever so nicely. This book reminds me just why dual time line stories are some of my favourites!
The first time line is in 1951 where we meet 16 year old Edie and her friend Lucy. They are from different neighbourhoods but go to the same school in their small town in England. They are not friends at first but quickly grow close. The second time line is in 2018 and Edie's memory is declining. She is now 82 years old. She thinks she sees her friend outside of the post office in her small town. But Lucy has not been seen for almost 70 years.
I don't want to give too much away but there's a mystery to be solved and each chapter gives you more and more tidbits. There are also some social issues and family drama in the mix. I loved the ending! I am looking forward to reading more books from this author!

This story is told through a series of letters and e-mails. An overzealous fan begins to write letters to an up and coming Hollywood starlet (Seraphina). At first the letters are charming but soon turn dark. Seraphina's security begins to investigate.
This one has a good twist for such a short story. The narrators do a great job.

It was wonderful to hear Caitlin and Victoria's (Vicks') story. Two girls from different backgrounds who meet at school and then spend their childhood summers on Martha's Vineyard. I especially enjoyed the younger years part of the story because YES Judy Blume is THE QUEEN when it comes to children and adolescents!

The story focuses on 4 people and how the fire affected their lives.
