Great premise that got over taken over by the insta-love, reverse harem plot. The storytelling was filled with physical interludes, lots of internal turmoil, which is definitely not for me, and professions of love. If you like steamy interludes with lots of angst about who deserves and will get the girl then The Fifth Knight is for you. In the end, it wasn't a read for me.

The instant I finished Lionheart, my mind started playing all these scenarios where Dragos and Oberon have to interact...Pure swooning Joy! Okay, enough fan-girling. Here is what I thought of Lionheart...
Lionheart was an amazing book-cation! Swept away to a world of fae politics, the beloved doctor, who always holds her own against Dragos, has finally met her match in ferocity, stubbornness and pretty much everything else...King Oberon of the dark fae court.
Oberon has been shot by a deadly dart, his only hope is a spell that will keep him in a cryo-type sleep until someone can figure out how to stop the spelled dart without killing him. Even in sleep, the spelled dart is effecting his magic, creating a unlivable and chaotic realm. Dr. Kathryn Shaw is brought in as a last hope to save Oberon.
Shaw can really hold her own. I mean we've seen her face off against Dragos so she was the perfect person for the job, the only problem is the Oberon his subjects loved was overtaken by the evil magic of Isabeau, Queen of the Light Court.
Intense chemistry, intense battling and 100% character connection! What more can a reader ask for in an urban fantasy novel?

Micah is rude and self absorbed. I found it very hard to find anything likable about him except for his deep down love for his daughter. I kept thinking he’d get better but at 75% he was still horrible and abusive ...then an instant personality flip. Then he still didn't learn from his over-reactions and continued to make rash conclusions. In the end, I didn't buy Karina and Micah insta-love relationship.
If you tell me once, I got it. If you tell my twice, its a little repetitive. But telling me something over and over again just becomes filler where it isn't needed and distracts from the story.
2 stars because I really did like Karina and Janey but this was not the book for me.

Its has a cast filled with emotionally scarred individuals which made for some pretty intense and emotionally jarring situations. Crews fills the pages with words that bring the character’s heart break vividly across to the reader, striking the emotional cord that makes written words jump off the pages and straight into your heart. Don’t get me wrong, the HEA we all love slowly arrives, but holy cow does Crews make us work for it.
I loved A True Cowboy Christmas! Its that simple. The cast is real, the emotion heart felt and the anticipation to see the secondary characters having their day is sitting heavily in my thoughts long after A True Cowboy Christmas concluded.
Now the to the best part, the unconditional love that is shown through every word, act and deed. It was something we all hope and pray that will find in our own lives. The struggle and journey to get there was something to behold and I thrilled I went along for the ride.

That being said, Sarah J. Maas delivered everything that I wanted and more. She provided the perfect balance of closure but left you wanting more-ness that will keep us coming back time and time again.
Sad to see this series end, Maas created a world were you can't help but find yourself swept away. The only solace to the ending of another magic-filled, intense, mind blowing storytelling packed into a magnificent series...It will be shelved as one of my all time favorite series... And, it will be reread often....more
