Talk about insta-love x2. I was taken aback by the lack of character development that lead to not one but two proclamations of love. I was thinking that I could maybe believe a relationship with Kenton because he saved Lettie from homelessness. But Lettie literally jumps right from Rafe to Kenton.

But as soon as Nin reaches the palace and Lady Cassandra's tutelage, the kingdom comes under attack from an ancient evil; an evil that can only be destroyed by Nin's special abilities.
The story is good and I did loved the premise but I struggled with the Thabit's and Nin's interaction which disconnected me from the story. Some of it just seemed a bit off track, distracting from the main story; but ultimate came back to a predictable conclusion. I liked it and I would be very interested in delving deeper into this world. In the end, I give Marked for Magic 3.5 stars.

This was an intriguing look at life when the west was a much harder place to live. Besides the lack of modern amenities, dealing with the social aspects of an unmarried woman living on a ranch was completely unexpected but the accuracy only added to realism the story line.
The chemistry between Grace and Adam was powerful and recognizable but watching them (especially Grace) struggle with their feelings made you feel like not just a by-stander but a participant in the plot.
As a side story, I can’t help but mention that I immensely enjoyed the love/hate banter between Grace’s brother and Adam’s daughter.
Saving Grace was a wonderfully delightful story chuck full of family, friends and eventually healing but had enough suspense filled drama to keep you glued to the pages till the very end.

This was an intriguing look at life when the west was a much harder place to live. Besides the lack of modern amenities, dealing with the social aspects of an unmarried woman living on a ranch was completely unexpected but the accuracy only added to realism the story line.
The chemistry between Grace and Adam was powerful and recognizable but watching them (especially Grace) struggle with their feelings made you feel like not just a by-stander but a participant in the plot.
As a side story, I can’t help but mention that I immensely enjoyed the love/hate banter between Grace’s brother and Adam’s daughter.
Saving Grace was a wonderfully delightful story chuck full of family, friends and eventually healing but had enough suspense filled drama to keep you glued to the pages till the very end.

The Troubled Texan is a quick, enjoyable and easy romance read. The characters ooze sass and witty banter making it flat out fun and entertaining. Donovan and Maressa's chemistry is electrifying with lots of sexual tension. I did find the resolution anticlimactic and rushed but there was plenty of personality to make you invested in the character's lives.
The Troubled Texan isn't all fun and football games, it has a heart aching situations and some purely evil intentions.
