It starts out good, builds up the suspense well, and with flashbacks shows what happened in the past to explain why Lucifer and Ana are where they are today. One thing i didn’t like though…..during their time apart,Lucifer slept around, supposedly to “fuck her out of his system”,but at the same time was upset at the thought she might have slept with other men….. That really didn’t sit well in my book at all, and made it lose 1 star for me. Let’s see what book 2 brings….....more

In total,it had enough pages to give me what i wanted. And it left me satisfied with where Ellen and Misha were. The surprises throughout were brought in a way that you could predict them, but not with an eye roll,if you know what i mean….you were lead there in a good way. What i díd grow a little tired of,was the trust issue….they both wanted to,but remained reluctant. Old scars kept them holding back when they shouldn’t….not when they proved trustworthy. Especially in the company they were in….. As it stands,i am happy with the way they reached their HEA,and the people they had with them. For once,i’m happy i took that gamble when XV was free on Apple Books....more

About her life until now,and how awful it must’ve been….. And what happened to Misha to make him the man he is today. In the meantime, her “father-in-law” seems to be dead, her “husband” still tries to get her back,at the cost of her sister Briar, and Misha’s leadership is being questioned. Better yet,Ellen and Misha’s story is a trilogy, and not a 5/6 book series.
He kidnaps her, thinking she’s her sister Briar, but soon finds out not only is she someone else, there’s something mysterious going on….but what? Slowly but surely, the truth comes to light, inch by agonising inch. Every little truth shows more of the abuse Ellen had to endure during her life. And she still has to endure more…..only this time Misha is the one abusing her. There’s one difference though….while her husband Robert never managed to really break her,Misha just might. In this one, there are 3 children added to the mix,1 that’s Alec’s,and 2 that are Macy’s. How he ended up with a child is a story that has him doubting himself,up to the point he feels guilty. Not because he left the mother, but because the only reason she’s with him,is that her mother died. Otherwise,he’d probably never have found out he was a father…..and that in itself is f**ked up. Macy is divorced, but allows her ex to see the children, even if he is a total a**hole. Until things go bad,or better said, even worse than they were, and she and the kids are in danger. Luckily,Alec, who’s daughter goes to the daycare she works at,already noticed Macy. And he already decided she was the one for him. So,like the other men of Gemini,he makes sure Macy,Caleb and Aurora are safe.
Those kids added another layer to the story. One where Alec was not only a man that wants a woman, but he’s careful to include her,and his, children. To pay attention to them,to care for them,to show them they’re loved. He did this well, even for a man that didn’t know what to do with a baby when he got Jocelyn.
Macy may have been trying to do the right thing for her children by allowing their father to see them, but once he put them in danger, she was done. And when Alec showed her time and time again he was véry different, that he was the right man for them, she couldn’t do anything else, but start to fall for him.
A good story,even though it’s not as spicy as i’m used to,and i’m glad i read it.

I usually stay away from those, having experienced losing a son from cancer myself, but this was done in a way i could take. There’s a couple of scenes in the hospital, and the stress Sasha suffered seeing her 3 year old daughter in that hospital bed,but nothing so severe i couldn’t continue. The donor for the bone marrow transplantation was not a real surprise,if i’m honest. The reason Sasha left 4 years ago,was supposedly because she cheated on Savage. With his brother,Sin. What really happened, was something else, and that becomes clear later on in the story. Savage may have been hateful at first, but he turned around once he admitted to himself that things didn’t add up. Seeing his daughter in a hospital bed softened him further. Hearing why Sasha really left was the decider, and he could only hope she’d want him back in her life again. And until danger came knocking, again,he was making good progress……
Like i said,a decent story,with a decent background. Could’ve used a little more depth,but i still enjoyed it enough....more

And Maxim sSurrender brought the clarity i needed in the end. Frankie started to understand Maxim a little better as he opened up to her a little more. And Maxim seemed ready to give her what she needed,a life with him as well as her siblings. How that was supposed to work remained a mystery at first, because even though her siblings were taken care of,they didn’t know him,not really. And that meant the older ones especially didn’t really trust him. Add to that the situation with his family, and his grandfather in particular, and a happy after seemed…difficult. How to deal with that man, that was the question. Because Anatoli is a controlling, mean and ruthless old man, determined to bring Maxim to heel. The old Maxim might have considered it…..maybe….but this Maxim? He’ll go to war before he’ll be forced to do that bastard’s bidding ever again! Even if he has to ask the only man he doesn’t want to see for help. His halfbrother,Vadim. A man that’s worse than he is,a man that suffered at the hands of their family as much, and maybe even more than him.
A lot happened in this last part of Maxim and Frankie’s story and it kept me glued to the pages until i had all the answers. To see him do his best to give her what she needed,to see him change was good. It made him human,it made him likeable, and it made him worthy. To see Frankie grow from that desperate girl that was responsible for her siblings to a woman that acknowledged her need for a life of her own was good. To see her find a balance and accept the kind of woman she was, gave me hope. For these two tortured souls to build a life together, with her siblings, that was good.
Vadim has his story next. Am i going to read it? Am i curious enough to go through that kind of agony again? Maybe later…..right now,i want to soothe my battered heart…… ...more

Frankie still suffers, but keeps going back for more because of the masochist she is. Not that she acknowledges the fact, but since the only time she can think clearly, the only time she feels alive,is when Maxim has done his thing says it all. Maxim tries to fight the attraction between them as much as she does, but fails just as miserably. When she finds her mother’s new “boyfriend” pawing her sister, she relocates her siblings. To her surprise,Maxim makes sure they have a safe place to stay, without any strings attached. When her mother’s found dead,he arranges the funeral and everything related. And then HIS family arrives…..his grandfather, and his uncle Sevastyn. And her assessment of Maxim shifts,again….. He already shared some of his past with her,but those bits are so much clearer now she’s met them. But later on,Sevastyn shows her, very painfully, that she doesn’t know half of it……and how little she means to Maxim. Only he underestimated Maxim’s determination to make him pay for everything. And Frankie still doesn’t understand the lenghts he’ll go to to keep her,or why….

I hated the Scythe with a vengeance, and the Colonel in particular, for what they’d done to all those poor Daonain, and i needed justice….badly!
Wells, the spymaster, had already hunted down most of the responsible Scythe with the help of Patrin,Fell and their brothers in arms, but the Director and the Colonel were still out there, somewhere. So,he sent Patrin and Fell to Ailill Ridge to lure them in. Without alerting the Cosantir,André. Finding jobs that made them visible, but non-threatening,was easy. Resisting a kindhearted and generous little wolf wasn’t. From the moment they met, both Patrin and Fell knew she was special. If only she stopped hitting them when she felt threatened….. Helping her get past it,and getting her help in return was fun,and before they knew it,they got attached to the sweet little wolf.
Moya feared dominant men,but at the same time she dreamed of having one. What happened to her still haunted her and the Cosantir decided she needed to work on her fears,or he would step in. But who could she ask for help? Her pack alpha? No way! When she ran into two strangers at the Gathering, she never could’ve thought they’d be the ones that’d be perfect for the job. But they were….Fell and Patrin may have had those dark and dangerous vibes, but that wasn’t all. Beneath the surface, there was a vulnerability, and a deep sense of trauma that she couldn’t help, but want to soothe…. And before she knew it,she was helping Fell use his words, teaching them both to cook, and helping them both to adjust to life in Ailill Ridge. If only she hadn’t grown attached to the two wonderful wolves…..because they weren’t staying.
In the meantime, the Scythe were planning, and Patrin and Fell were keeping an eye on the spy passing intel to the Director. Would they be able to complete their mission and capture the damn Scythe? Pack life wasn’t easy either,Roger was a weak alpha, and needed to be replaced. It was only a matter of time before disaster would strike…..
Cherise has an unique way of writing, one that draws you into the story from the first page, keeping you there right until the end. Making you smile when things are good, making you cry when ugly memories rise to the surface, making you scream at the actions of evil men,and leaving you véry satisfied at the end. With only a few loose ends…..like what happens with that new shifter…..and maybe a second chance for a former bitchy one?...more

Yes,Hannah and Armando grow closer, but he still doesn’t understand his feelings for her….not really. He knows he needs her,he knows he feels so good when he’s with her,and counts the minutes to return to her when he’s away. But to call that love, like she obviously can? Plus he has a hit on him…..someone wants him dead, but who? One thing’s for sure,he’s not going to allow her to get hurt,or worse….killed because of him! But Hannah is determined to stay,to stand by his side, for better or worse. And she told her parents about him….. Her mother may have an open mind, but her father?? When Armando sees his ex at a party,he realizes he doesn’t feel anything, not even anger. Her new fiancé may have stolen her,and he has every right to be angry at them, but he couldn’t care less. All he can see is the beauty that is his girl, all he needs is her. Does that mean he’s ready to commit to his Flower? Or is he going to get killed before he’s ready to admit his feelings?
This story didn’t have a dull moment. If it wasn’t the heat between Hannah and Armando,it was them trying to get to know eachother better. And while she worked hard to make her shop a succes,he was doing what the Don told him, keep out of trouble, while trying to find out who wanted him dead. The answer to that wasn’t a real surprise, though….but the retribution was well done. All in all a good story, one i enjoyed from start to finish....more

Filled to the brim with suspense and emotions,it kept me glued to the pages, praying for Grace. To see her not only survive the horrible things done to her,but to heal….and maybe find a little happiness?
Escaping hell alone wasn’t an option for Grace, she needed to free as many fellow captives as she could. But her tormentors wouldn’t let them go that easy….and they killed everyone but her. Faced with no other option,Grace would rather choose death over going back,so she jumped……only to survive. She even managed to cross the Mexican border, and found sanctuary in an American church nearby. Until another cartel invaded that sanctuary and dragged her back to Mexico…..right into the hands of Elias. He wanted to know where she’d been kept before her escape because he was after her owner,Andres. But she couldn’t give him what he wanted……her conscience couldn’t handle the death of more innocent lives. Her strenght started to impress Elias, her kindness to his mother in spite of his treatment of her slowly softened his heart. But he was determined to get the information he needed, and if tormenting her didn’t work, maybe kindness would? Even if his fiancée seemed to hate her on sight because he seemed to care more about Grace than her.
And then, just when they started to grow closer, when they started to understand and know eachother better, she was taken…….
Grace’s courage, her strenght….it kept her going when others failed. Elias may have been a bad guy,but he still had a heart, and she found it. He may have had an agenda,he may have had trouble trusting others, but her honesty got to him. Even in his darkness, she managed to bring some light. I loved how patient and kind he was with her, giving her a much needed anchor in a life that had been nothing but pain. And i loved how she still was able to see the good in people in spite of everything that had been done to her. These two were so beautiful together once Elias took the time to see who she was!...more

Filled to the brim with emotions, suspense and heat,i felt i couldn’t catch my breath until the very end. Nothing was what it seemed, and assuming who was on what side was futile. Just when i thought i had it all figured out,new information came to light,or something happened,to make me second guess everything. The story was so well built that it had me glued to the pages the entire time, giving me every emotion you can think of.
Mia was in a bad place, and with amnesia she didn’t have any idea who she was. Jenny was her only friend, helping her score money to feed her addiction. Until the day she asked the wrong man…..and she ended up having to taste a shipment of cocaine for some very bad men. If only that was it…..no,their boss decided to take her with him, back to his home in Russia. Because she intrigued him,and Sasha wanted to find out why. Detox was hell, but what came after was worse, far worse! Because the world Sasha lived in was a dark one,a violent one,and Mia needed to find a way out of there, fast! If only she knew where to…..but Sasha was already doing his research, peeling back the layers of who she was. The fragments of her returning memory were confusing and hurting her,but who could she trust enough to share them with? The only one that she could trust, who had been honest with her from the start, was the very same that hurt her, used and degraded her…..Sasha. The world he lived in was determined to get rid of her, though….because they all saw her as a threat. But all she wanted, was to feel safe, wanted and cared for, even if the person she turned to for that little bit of affection she needed so badly didn’t seem to care….
Sasha was intrigued by the shell of a girl that replaced the girl that was supposed to taste the cocaine. Letting her go was not an option until he figured her out. Until he knew for sure she wasn’t who everyone thought she could be. But when he knew for sure,it was too late…..and he knew he wasn’t going to let her go….ever. Because she took everything he did to her,and more. And because, somehow, she found a place deep down inside of him,and nestled there. Knowing his world didn’t want her with him,and would do anything to get rid of her, didn’t make it easier to keep her, though….
And then it all went to hell…… The moments leading up to that total clusterfuck already had me reeling, but what happened here was mindblowing. And i couldn’t see any possibility of either of them coming out of it alive. But luckily Ann-Marie had a few more tricks up her sleeve….. ...more

A special one for all those readers that love the dark and depraved twist Cari Silverwood gave this beauty. If you’re one of them, you’re in for a treat, trust me!
Cari Silverwood’s CNC Fraternity series makes you wonder if there’s something wrong with you. Because the dark and depraved stuff that’s done to the heroines, may be done with the “consent” of the victim,it’s still….well, dark and depraved. They end up in situations they didn’t choose to be in. They’re not sure they’ll make it out alive. But somehow, they still enjoy what’s being done to them, because deep down, they crave that shit. Being hurt in so many different ways, humiliated, degraded…. You name it,they love it. And the men that do all of that to them, are not just sadists…..no,these men are bad! And yet….knowing all this…..i still enjoy this series. In fact,i love each and every story. So,am i sick for enjoying them so much? Or is it simply a matter of knowing it’s fiction, and giving in to a guilty pleasure? I’m going to stick with the last option…..
And now Cari added a prequel called Killer Bones. Not only that, this story has 2 editions, one with a “tamer/nicer” end,and this one, called the evil edition. Both have triggers you need to be aware of before you consider reading it,but the evil edition ends on a darker note than the “tamer/nicer” one. But if you’re ok with that, you’re going to enjoy this dark beauty! I loved it from start to evil finish! (I díd enjoy the “tamer/nicer” end too,but you know me…..i so love it in the dark, lol.)
Izzy wants to expose Montez for the evil bastard he is,and yes, maybe she has been dreaming about killing him, too… Montez wants the bitch that’s been causing trouble for him dead, period. Adalmo has his own agenda, and Montez and Izzy are on that agenda. But when her reactions to him manhandling her are not what he expected,he needs to reassess her fate. When both are taken to Montez, and Adelmo is ordered to kill Izzy,he suggests having a little fun with her first.…because he needs the time to think.
What ís Adelmo’s agenda? Can Izzy make a deal with this devil to keep her alive? The one that enjoys hurting her, that she enjoys being hurt by…..even if she shouldn’t?? Sadly,it seems the odds of both of them getting out alive are stacking up against them….....more

Honey Cut is one big open wound…..where Mark is still coldhearted but at the same time passionate. Where Tristan and Isolde suffer, and not just becauseHoney Cut is one big open wound…..where Mark is still coldhearted but at the same time passionate. Where Tristan and Isolde suffer, and not just because of Mark’s behaviour towards them. The promise Mark and Isolde made to be faithful once they were married is hard to keep. And it’s made harder because of Mark’s behaviour….. They both need someone that cares, someone that will be there,no matter what. And then there’s Isolde’s uncle, and his sceming…. If only he wasn’t there,if only she had “just” Mark and Tristan to worry about. Because her uncle’s plans might just kill her…..what he wants is not something she’ll be able to do without breaking all over again.
The lies and intrigues keep stacking…..who is friend and who is foe??? Has Mortimer been using Isolde for his personal gain, instead of for the good of the Church?? And what about Mark….did he pick Isolde solely for her connection to Mortimer?? To use and discard her when he was done?? The only innocent one,Tristan,is caught in the middle of this mess….what will happen to him??
At least Mark knows that both Isolde and Tristan love him,but will it stop him from what he’s planned? Hearing what happened in his past,to the man he loved, makes him a little more…..human,but is that enough? He acts like a man possessed with his wife and bodyguard, but does that mean he cares? Will he open up to them, and give them what they deserve…..his heart?
Mortimer is worse…..and i hate him for the things he’s ordered Isolde to do. The fact that he groomed her from an early age, taking advantage of her vulnerability after her mother’s death,is despicable. The idea he wants,no orders,Isolde to kill Mark, the husband she loves,is devastating. I would love to see him suffer, and die a horrible death!!
The cliffhanger i’m left with is heartbreaking, but at the same time i want to have a little hope….. For these three tortured souls to find a way to deal with the entire mess, and be together after. To defeat their enemies and find trust, peace and love. Knowing i’m going to have to wait until March ‘25 is already driving me nuts, that’s for sure!!

Overall, this was an entertaining Anthology, one i enjoyed. With stories in different genres, but all of them had the army at the base of their storylines. Some stories i loved more than others, but that’s to be expected with Anthologies. There is a note below about two of them, and why i’ve decided not to include them in my final rating.
3* The Wild Blue by Bronwyn Judde tells the story of fighter pilot Jade who’s assigned to the Hardy Air Force Base when she applies for the UVAC’s program. Even though she loves flying, she wants to see if flying drones in enemy territory is something for her. She hits it off with her new neighbour Trent and likes most of her new colleagues. But there are a few officers that don’t seem to respect women and it’s a good thing Trent and others warn her about them…… Because it grows worse, and soon she has to fight off Major Richard Biggs to prevent him raping her. There are a few tense moments during the story where she has to defend herself, but they’re nicely compensated by the hot encounters with Trent. Good story, well built, one i enjoyed reading.
3* Chef’s Kiss by JLynn Autumn is a sweet age gap,grumpy/sunshine story with a very light touch of BDSM. Jameson is lost after his military career ended because of the injuries he suffered from a work related accident. So,when best friend Devin offers him a job at his restaurant,he accepts. It’s been years since he’s seen Devin’s little sister,so when Devin makes him promise to keep his hands to himself,he doesn’t see any problems….. There’s another girl that turns his head, though. But she seems the relationship type and way too young for him, plus with his issues,he doesn’t think he’s worthy. Until they kiss….and he wants more. Sadie is perfectly happy with her life, the only thing she wants to add,is a man of her own. The tattooed hottie seems a good candidate….until she finds out he’s her brother’s best friend, and has been warned to stay clear. Will they find eachother? Or will they be doomed to remain friends…. Lovely story that shows big brothers don’t rule the life of their little sisters once they grow up….
4* Wild River Daddy by Cami Carlisle may have a darker start, but it’s followed by a wonderful, and slightly hilarious rescue of Tildie. She’s a Little that tried to make a life of her own, away from her uncaring parents, only to end up in the hands of the Bratva. Lucky for her, just as she’s about to be raped by one of the Pakhan’s henchmen, help arrives. Boone and his team have been after Sidorov ever since he was responsible for one of their team members,Cara. Hearing her scream in distress and pain makes him change his course and he ends up saving her. Not only that, there’s an instant attraction between him and Tildie….and his hunch she’s a Little brings out the Daddy in him. Getting her to safety becomes his number one priority, keeping her comes right after. Tildie can’t believe she’s being rescued, and by a Daddy of all people! A Daddy she’d love to keep….but can she? Wonderful story of a rescue done with humor. Wouldn’t mind hearing more….
4* Save Us by Teegan Wylde is an age gap,why choose,PTSD,dubcon light story that may have taken a little while to get to the very delicious hot part, but i enjoyed the ride! Jalissa is Jude,Zayden and Earth’s psychologist. She’s helped them where no-one else could. But she’s been offered a new job,elsewhere…..and doing the thing she said she’d never do,abandoning them. So,Zayden and Earth take matters into their own hands, and prevent her from leaving. Because Jude needs her, they say. Plus, they know there’s a good chance they might get her to admit there’s more….. That she’s interested in the three of them,as interested as they are in her. Can they convince her to stay? Crazy little story of how far your equally damaged friends will go to make sure you keep your psychologist with interesting results.
2* Mission Wildflower ( A Dragon Drillers novella) by Dani Carr is a reverse age-gap,why-choose story that didn’t really grab me. None of the characters struck me as adults that acted their age. Deb had been Logan’s pen pal for a long time, and he’d reached the point that he wanted more. Knowing reverse harem relationships weren’t unfamiliar to her,the thought of his two best friends joining him sounded like a good idea. When they returned home from deployment,he arranged to meet Deb and once he got past the overprotective MC members,he took her to a restaurant where Hector and Josh joined them. A night filled with passion follows, but when the morning arrives,Deb has her doubts about them wanting something long term with an older woman, and she leaves quietly. The men have a different opinion and are determined to convince her.
Trial by Fire and Whiskey Curves by KD Michaels sadly disappointed to a degree that made me contact the PA of the publishing author. After telling her why i dnf them, she was saddened these two weren’t up to par. She assured me they’ll be more careful in future about the quality of participating stories. At no point did she pressure me in any way to adapt my review of said stories, which in turn made me decide, after careful consideration,to leave these two out of my total rating....more

Bred by the Barge is no different…..we have an Omega in need of saving, and an Alpha that’s more than ready to do so. After Pearl’s sister Gem was assaulted by an Alpha, their parents decided it was time to find a safe place to live. But the boat they fled on,with the sisters hiding in a barrel, was caught in a storm and not strong enough to get through unscathed. The sisters seemed to be the only survivors and were picked up by the Barge and his crew. The Barge may look like a powerhouse Alpha, and he may frighten Pearl, but she has Gem to protect. And she’ll die doing so….. Only the Barge is a kind Alpha, one that understands her,and is ready to give her what she needs…..in return for something he wants. While that may seem frightening to Pearl at first, with her first heat so close, and his gentle care of her,she soon surrenders.
Another delicious little gem in this series,my only complaint is that it’s over too soon….....more

So,when EJ Frost sent me the ARC of Daddy P.I. 3.0,i couldn’t wait to find out where they were, and who was with them.
I knew they were solid, their dynamic firmly in place, and eagerly waiting for Logan’s newborn babygirl Olivia to arrive. And yes,Logan may have been a little worried about how Emmy felt, but deep down,he knew he had no reason to. He did, however have good reason to worry about the birthmother,Miranda….that evil witch wasn’t planning on giving up little Livvy without fighting dirty. But she was in for a bad surprise, because Emmy was channeling her white baby dragon, and you should hear her roar! Then there was an elusive little thief stirring up trouble in Blunt’s sister club,Sacrum. Giving him and Mac a headache during their hunt,as well as after catching the culprit….. And if that wasn’t enough, subs were quiting at Blunts because they didn’t feel safe there! The cause was making me sick, but knowing Logan was on the case made me feel a little better. Because if anyone could do something about that,it was him. But would he be in time to save Fleur when she went missing? Batman Daddy Logan would do his best,of that his sweet little love was convinced.
This may be the last time the focus was on Logan and Emmy, but knowing where they are now,how happy they are? It feels só good….having been to that special party was the most wonderful conclusion, and i loved it! And there’s other people of this growing family i am véry curious to hear more of! First of all Fleur naturally, but also Cappa,Myles and Ten….Theo,Javier,Maude and Georgie…Sutter and Saoirse….and True, will i get to see more of her, too? And what about the growing Littles’ Army? What misschief will they get up to next? Needless to say,i can’t wait to find out every little detail,of everyone! ...more

Thankfully, the ARC of Owned by the Fae gave me that…..and so much more! But this story put me through the wringer, gave me a moment here and there to catch my breath, only to throw even more nailbiting, heartbreaking and devastating moments at me after. If there’s one thing you can say about Kyra’s writing,it’s that she gives you ALL the feels! Never a dull moment with that one,and that’s why i love her so much.
Lia is back where she started, under Varrick’s thumb. But this time,it’s even worse….not only is she starved, beaten and tortured, she was betrayed by the fae she has to admit she has feelings for. Well, two of them…..Kal and Grey still hold a place in her heart somehow. But Dane? He’s the one that’s responsible the most, and she wouldn’t mind if she never saw him again…..right?
During her time in the cell, during the torture, she’s surprised to find the Harbinger does it’s best to help her through the worst. And in her dreams, she sees, and talks to it……getting to know a little more about it. Starting to understand it,as it starts to understand her…. But if her situation doesn’t change for the better soon,it may be all they’ll ever have. Luckily, her situation dóes change, but if it’s for the better remains to be seen! So,she takes the only opportunity she has,and escapes to find Kal,or Grey for help.
When they returned to the fold,Dane,Kal and Grey all had different feelings about being back. Dane is happy,he can’t wait to see his beloved Fiana again. Kal hates being back,he feels betrayed by Dane, and wants his little Lia back. Grey is confused, his beast wants Lia,but at the same time it’s good they’re back…..right?
When Lia manages to find their house,it’s Dane she finds. For the first time,he sees something’s wrong….the way she moves doesn’t correspond with the way she looks. Seeing the truth when he removes the hiding conjure is…..a slap in the face? Uncomfortable? Painful? And that’s his side, how must she feel??? Those scars look BAD,and they’re not all recent….. But he knows he’ll have to bring her back, even if every fiber in his body refuses the idea. If anything,he could at least try and use his influence to improve her situation, right? Taking charge of the execution of Varrick’s plans seems the least he can do.
Kal is ready to get his girl and get out of Dodge, and it seems Grey is on board with the idea. But how,and where can they go that Varrick won’t be able to find them? Finding out that Dane not only found their girl at their home, but that he brought her back,is a low blow, even for him. Even though they don’t trust him as they used to,he was still their brother….right? Hearing the details, that changes things, though. But then Fiana returns……
Will the three fae manage to keep Lia,the Harbinger, and other precious people safe? Can they escape to a safe haven, and find help before it’s too late? What is the extent of Varrick’s plans, and where does Lia fit into them? Or will Fiana get her vicious hands on her, promising a similar life of misery for Lia…..as well as Dane? Or……there’s still the Harbinger, right??
This story…..man,this story……it had me crying, screaming, cursing and yelling. But it also had me smiling, hoping, and embracing the good moments. There were so many twists and turns,my head is still spinning. But the end gave me what i needed most….to know they’re in a good place, together,thát’s what makes it all worth while!...more

This was definitely not my kind of story in spite of being intrigued enough by the blurb. I understand what the author’s intentions were for the story, but i didn’t feel it. She’s been abused most of her life, but can’t die for some reason. A chance encounter with 3 Alpha shifters turns out to be lifechanging, but she, and one of them, fight the mate bond. The abuse continues, and she keeps ending up with the shifters, only to return to her abusive master. She apparently has magic, but she doesn’t know how to use it,until she accepts that mate bond. When she finally does, she knows, without any explanation, how to use the magic inside, and defeats her powerful master?
It might be a matter of it’s me,not the story, but i do know i’m not going to waste any more time on the series…....more
