Tristian and Belle haven't seen or spoken to the other inOnce again M. Robinson delivers a steamy, drama filled romance with Second Chance Rival.
Tristian and Belle haven't seen or spoken to the other in over 20 years and now they must marry to merge their empires and further the line of succession.
There is no denying the electric chemistry between Tristian and Belle, but it was a difficult road to reach the same level of connection the two shared from the past chapters. At first, Tristian acted like a bully towards Belle and it wasn't until he felt comfortable to open up that he allowed her to see his true emotions.
Also, in my opinion, the whole family rivalry aspect was unnecessary to the plot and I wished it was better explained and executed. Overall, it was great to see their journey and watch their love finally flourish once more.

There is a lot of mixed feelings for Vlad among the book lovers of this series. He's always been known as the foreign member of the group who says silly things, loves animals, and really shouldn't be eating cheese. In this book; however, we see a completely different side to him. He's a giant softie who wears his heart on his sleeve.
From the previous books in the series, we learn that Vlad is married and honestly, I've always been curious about his wife. With that being said, I was surprised that Vlad's marriage was one of convenience.
Elena's character, I have to say I found her kinda of cold and in the beginning it was difficult to connect with her because of this. It wasn't until I read her story and understood her struggles and why she was closed off that I felt empathic towards her.
This was definitely a slow burning romance between best friends. Of course, there was a lack of communication and misunderstanding from the start of their marriage that I was not particulary fond of, which is reflected in my overall rating for this novel. I truly believe if it were not for Vlad's injury, his marriage with Elena would not have been saved. In the end, I loved how Vlad opened up his heart by writing a romance book that reflected his own love story—I want to read Promise Me on its own!!
Isn't It Bromantic? had me swooning and feeling giddy! It was not my absolute favorite in the bunch but I equally enjoyed it. On top of it being a romance story Lyssa added elements of suspense and some unexpected twists. She knows how to bring the funny and the bromance, their epic moments being highlights for this series!
Supposedly, this is the last book in said series, but I have to say NO! There's one character that I feel needs his story to be told *cough* Colton *cough*. So please, Lyssa if you're reading this... give the guy his romance story!

Maddek is driven by revenge against those who murdered his parents, the beloved queen and king. He's a strong, brooding warrior and has no qua3 STARS!
Maddek is driven by revenge against those who murdered his parents, the beloved queen and king. He's a strong, brooding warrior and has no qualms about fighting for his people and his land. But Maddek's hatred and disgust towards Zhalen runs deep as Zhalen is a corrupt and selfish ruler of Syssian. Though Maddek believes the whole family line to be rotten to the core, he marries Zhalen's daughter.
“But there is a daughter. An heir with moonstone eyes. It was she who sent the letter that brought your parents to their end.”
Yvenne, Zhalen's daughter, is believed to have had a hand in the demise of Maddek's father and mother, so Maddek does not trust her, and for a good portion of the story sees her as only a way for him to seek his revenge.
"As soon as Zhalen’s daughter was within his grasp, he would make her pay for her treachery. Vengeance would be his."
At the 50% mark in the novel, Maddek's thoughts and actions were very tedious and back and forth. One moment, he was having a hard time trusting Yvenne, then the next, he feels bad for not trusting her, only to say an hour later that he doesn't trust her again and she's just a vessel to get his revenge and plant his seed (his words not mine). Meanwhile, poor Yvenne has endured a lot but remains resilient and strong regardless of her weak state. She's a fierce queen whose loyal to her people and she never stops showing readers these qualities.
The secondary characters and their relationships were intriguing and added a aspect to the story that I found captivating. Also, I really liked the world-building. This novel had a great premise and storyline but the romance was lacking and the chemistry unbelievable, you know, when they finally reach that level of intimacy.
A Heart of Blood and Ashes by Milla Vane was that perfect clash of Vikings meets Game of Thrones. Though it was slow to me and the romance was not what I expected, I enjoyed the overall world that Milla has created. So, I do recommend giving this one a try. Who knows, it might just turn out to be a favorite of yours and then you can call me crazy ;)...more
Boss Man Bridegroom by Meghan Quinn was pure entertainment! There wasn't a moment I didn't laugh and giggle. This series is so much fun and a must read!!
Rath Westin was first introduced in book 1, The Secret to Dating Your Best Friend's Sister. His bromance with Bram Scott especially was EPIC! Rath had a relationship with his previous assistant which ended with him heartbroken. Now he's brooding and intense. He hires Charlee because of her ballsy, headstrong attitude. He soon realizes he doesn't know what he got himself into with her. She keeps him on his toes. But he can't help but find her beautiful, smart, and funny... Though a bit annoying.
Charlee is wildly inappropriate in the best ways possible. Quirky. Colorful. She shines bright like the sun and has no filter what-so-ever which I absolutely loved!! Bubbly, energetic, always organized, and ready to work. She's a chatterbox and doesn't shut up, which really irritates Rath at first.
Rath tries so hard to fight the undeniable attraction he feels towards Charlee. The lines soon begin to blur. It's Rath's idea to get married to fulfill Charlee's grandma's dream of seeing her walk down the aisle. With time, their feelings for one another grow. It's no longer a fake engagement but so much more.
This is one of my favorite series by Meghan. This is a standalone series but in all honesty you should read book 1 and so forth. You get to meet each of the characters and fall in love with them with each book. Boss Man Bridegroom was witty, sexy, sweet, and filled with so much tension and feels! I couldn't get enough!! Meghan's brilliance shines through with each passage. It's such fun reading her stories!
Marriage on Madison Avenue by Lauren Layne is the final installment in the Central Park Pact series. Here, we follow Audrey and Clarke's sto4.5 STARS!
Marriage on Madison Avenue by Lauren Layne is the final installment in the Central Park Pact series. Here, we follow Audrey and Clarke's story, two best friends who later realize they're in love.
Audrey Tate is the fun-loving one amongst the three women. She blames herself for Brayden's actions thinking she ruined Claire's happiness, so she begins to believe she doesn't deserve her own happily ever after.
Clarke West is your typical single man living in the social light of the Upper East Side. He's a womanizer who hasn't settled down yet despote being in a long relationship previously.
Audrey and Clarke both face a dilemma. An internet troll is bashing Audrey and spilling the tea, while Clarke's mother is trying to get him back with his ex, Elizabeth. So these two best friends decide to help each other out and get fake engaged.
The more time Audrey and Clarke live up the farce of their engagement and wedding planning the sooner they realize what was in their faces the whole time; the fact that they've been in love with each other all this time. There's always that ex that has to stir the pot and in this story it was no different.
Overall, this was a sweet, fastpaced slow burn romance with just a touch of angsty feels at the end. Such a fun series! I'm going to miss these characters and their friendship/bond. Thank you so much to Gallery Books and Lauren Layne for the chance of discovering these books. I'm excited to read more from this author!

Riven Knight, book 2 in Devney Perry'sTin Gypsy series was such an emotionally charged book from start to finish! If you thought Gypsy King was suspenseful, then you must read this one.
Riven Knight picks up right where Gypsy King left off and we finally discover what really happened on the mountain.
Genevieve Daylee is thrusted into the chaotic world of the former Tin Gypsies MC. She feels lonely and betrayed by her own mother. Marrying Isaiah is not only his saving grace but hers as well. As the story progresses, Genevieve learns to love Clifton Forge and soon she shows just how much of her father's daughter she truly is as she's willing to fight for her new family no matter the cost.
"Isaiah wasn’t mine to keep forever. Eventually he’d move on to find someone who made him truly happy. The selfish part of me loathed the idea of a different, future Mrs. Reynolds who’d get more than subtle grins."
Isaiah Reynolds is a broken, tortured man that battles many demons from his past. It was so heartbreaking watching him struggle to not give himself a chance at love and happiness. Underneath all the loss and pain lays such a beautiful and enigmatic man.
"Ever since Genevieve Daylee had entered my life, the order and simplicity I craved and found had vanished."
Genevieve and Isaiah were two broken pieces of a puzzle that fit. It was such a beautiful relationship to watch transform. A slow burn romance that required a lot of patience and strength. When Isaiah tried to pull away Genevieve would stand her ground and push back. What began as a lie slowly turned into love.
"Isaiah looked in the mirror and saw everlasting broken pieces, but maybe my broken pieces would fit with his. Together, maybe we’d make a whole."
Overall, what a freakin' ride, you guys and we're only in book 2!! There's so many thrills and layers to be peeled back with these wonderful and amazing characters and I'm 1000% ready to enjoy it all!!

I'M SPEECHLESS. I HAVE NO WORDS! But I will say this, Work in Progress is my favorite book by Staci Hart to date!!
Thomas Bane. Remember that name people! THOMAS BANE!! He's everything. Perfection. Bad boy extraordinaire. A scoundrel. Devil-maycare fantasy writer. He's got swag and sex appeal. I'd read and buy his books always! Behind this image he portrays to the world is a humble man. A good man with a heart of gold. A man who will do anything to care for and protect his family.
Then we have Amelia Hall. Sweet. Timid. Quirky and sassy af. She's my spirit animal. My best friend! I want to be her when I grow up. She is much like the ugly duckling who transforms into a beautiful swan.
Tommy and Amelia are complete opposites. A couple you don't see a lot in romance stories and that's what I loved the most. They're yin and yang, coming together perfectly. All their moments were tender and sweet. The intimacy was sexy and special. Even when they faked their relationship there was no hiding those feelings that slowly crept into their hearts.
I loved this book to pieces!! The perfect marriage of convenience romantic comedy. And that ending!? I'm shook. It's Katherine's turn people and she's going to take us all by storm. Mark my words #icantwait 💃🏼

The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang was by far my favorite book of 2018, so naturally when I heard Helen was writing Khai's book I was filled with excitement to once again visit this dynamic world Hoang creates. With that being said, The Bride Test was absolutely perfect!
Khai is autistic and doesn't feel nor recogonize emotions. Being from a strict Vietnamese family doesn't help either. It's expected of him to marry and carry on the family name, so you can imagine his irritation and frustration when his mother sets out to set him up.
Esme encounters Khai's mother, Cô Nga in the women's bathroom who convinces her to come to the U.S. from Vietnam to meet/marry her son. Thinking of her family struggles, this is an offer Esme cannot refuse as she has hopes of providing a better life for herself and for her family.
When Khai and Esme meet it does not go as planned. Not only is their relationship unconventional but Khai feels no connection to Esme and acts rather rudely towards her. Afterall, she is a stranger and in Khai's mind that simple fact is amplified. Then there's Esme, she lives with anxiety of being in a new place and believes that she is the cause of his behavior. It's later on that Esme understands exactly why Khai acts that way.
Though their relationship wasn't perfect, with time the relationship between Khai and Esme slowly blooms; and that's the beauty of it all. These two unusual characters complimented one another very well, learning from each other.
A slow paced and swoony romance, The Bride Test will have you wanting to read everything Helen Hoang writes!
