Audiobook: 5/5 Review: Holy Cow! This was the most unhinged romance I have ever listened to. I was so enraptured by the audiobook, which was so good, that I became obsessed with Malachi and Olivia. I have no idea why I loved this so much, and I am unsure what that says about me for enjoying it, but I have no shame in saying I loved this! ...more
Review: I think this book was mainly set up for the rest of the series as it felt like nothing truly happened within this book, but I can see the potential for all the relationships to develop and the plot to get fun and dark. I am going to continue this series! ...more
Review: Short and sweet would be how I would describe this but there was nothing sweet about it so short and dirty. Extremely fast-paced and filthy. It was just pure nonsense and pure spicy time, which was just a quick and fun read. ...more
Review: This is the epitome of dirty and fun dark romance. This teeters on the darker themes and leans more into the taboo side of the genre, and for a book under 300 pages, I immensely enjoyed it. Reading the trigger warnings is crucial for going into so you know what to expect, but overall I loved Mason and how intense everything was and the spice was top notch! ...more
Review: I went into this book knowing that it was a spoof of Taylor Swift, but the constant influx of Swiftit lyrics got annoying quickly and only because half felt so farced or random within the situations. I also had a problem with the MCs as they were pretty whiny, and I never got endeared to them. I liked the fake dating pop star angle, and it was done in an entertaining way, but their romance was so fast and didn't feel realistic. Plus, she forgave him way too fast, and there needed to be more groveling. ...more
Review: Each novella showed some insight to the rest of the Skyward Flight crew figuring out politics, the hyperdrive and the cytonics while Spensa is off doing her thing and I loved the insights we did get. I think the choices of who we followed were perfect as FM was a quieter and more level-headed character, so her POV was fascinating and informative. Alanik's POV was sporadic, but since we never knew her personality, seeing a non-human POV and how they viewed the political sphere and humans was great. Joren's POV was absolutely needed, and I am shocked it took this long to get his POV as I have loved his character development and story since book one, and this insight into his world did not disappoint. These novellas are absolutely needed to have a deeper understanding of the main overarching plot of the Skyward Series, and DO NOT SKIP THESE!...more
Review: A super cute and fun YA romance with an outstanding representation of being a woman in male-led occupations, and the conversations around feminism and sexism were executed really well. I do wish we got a better resolution (or revenge) against the big players but I understand that is not realistic. The romance was super cute and felt like a romance for two 18-year-olds. I loved the social media aspect and even the competition side. The third act was following a miscommunication, but it wasn't outrageous, and it made actual logical sense, and again, for two 18-year-olds, it made sense. Overall, fun and cute ...more
Review: I enjoyed this book! It had everything I love about romantasy. While the concept and tropes were nothing new, they were written in a way that made them feel fresh and unique. I felt like I had been dropped into this world and never wanted to leave. The slow burn was so good and was so worth the wait. I am excited to see how much the relationships and the characters develop more. I am super excited to continue this series and am very happy the final book drops soon, so I won't have to wait horrifically long. ...more
Review: I am always hesitant to read Why Choose romances because I never feel like there is enough time to develop each relationship, but as this book focuses on one or two relationships, they feel fully realized and developed by the end. I adore a good Beauty and the Beast retelling, and this provided everything I love about them. The plot was a tad thin, and we aren't given that much information on what is happening, but that is typical with these retellings. I am excited to continue the series! ...more
Audiobook: 4/5 Review: I think Vance's story is my favorite part of this series. We only got to see snippets of Vance in the other books, and now I wish we saw him more, but his story had significant buildup and great twists and turns. I loved Emery and how she had made a name for herself before the story even started, and they worked together so well. The drama of a break-in heist was so funny and riveting to listen to. I did find the middle to be a tad boring, and the spice was not as fun as the other books, but it was still excellent and sexy. ...more
Review: B.K. Borison knows how to write an adorable small-town romance. This was so cute, and I was waiting for Layla's story, and this did not disappoint. While the characters brought upon the main issues, I enjoyed Layla's character growth with the relationship, herself, and her business. Watching her come into her own was in and of itself a beautiful story, and adding the romance was the literal cherry on top. The groveling was phenomenal and just perfect. ...more
Audiobook: 4/5 Review: This is a creepy, full-horror collection of novellas. All three stories were creepy, and the audiobooks are always great, creating an ambiance of horror and uneasiness. The issue I typically have is that the stories just end and never have a real resolution, which gets aggravating. ...more
Review: A cute post-HEA novella. I love these characters and enjoyed seeing them again, but this didn't have the whole emotional turmoil that the other books did, which makes sense as we see the couple after all the turmoil. There wasn't an actual plot, just fun vibes and spicy scenes, which was quite enjoyable for a novella! ...more
Review: Ghost romance plus a high-stakes magical competition? Yes, please! This had everything I never knew I wanted in a paranormal romance. The games were intriguing and compelling, while the romance was a great forbidden romance, considering he is a ghost. The twists and turns were fun and surprising. Overall, this was just a fun, darker romantasy, and I loved how it was written. Honestly, I mainly wanted more from the MMC than what we got, otherwise fantastic book! ...more
Review: Fake dating is one of my favorite tropes and this book is one of my favorite iterations of it! There was phenomenal tension, and the romance was a great slow build. I adore the writing from this author, as it is so invigorating, and I could not put it down! My biggest issue was that the middle was a bit slow, and I skimmed it to get further into the story. I loved the representation within this book, and I found it to be highly relatable and unique. ...more
Review: It has been a while since I read a fun mafia romance, and this was filled with so much tension and emotion. I loved the deer in headlight, our FMC, and how protective and 'bad' the MMC was. They were opposites in the best ways. My biggest issue was that this was too long, and I felt like a good 100/150 pages were not needed. I am excited that we will get more of them in a sequel, as that cliffhanger was hurtful and left me with so many questions. ...more
Review: This was a beautiful book that mixed fantasy, mystery, and romance in such a seamless way. This felt like the children's fantasy books I read as a kid, which were so powerful. The amnesia element initially made me nervous, but it was done so well that it didn't hold back any information or the plot itself. I also loved getting the background from when the MMCs were children and getting those chapters added so much depth to the characters. While there was a beautiful romance, there were other representations of platonic love and sibling love, which were so well executed. I just loved all the characters and wanted them to be happy ever after. ...more

Review: I was disappointed with this newest Riley Sager book. It did not have the same eerie and creepy vibes that I am used to with his books. I was hoping for a cool mystery or more spooky aspects, but this was more of a book about grief and dealing with childhood trauma, which was not a bad thing but not what I expected from a thriller novel. The end was surprising, but at that point, I kind of lost interest in figuring out who did it. ...more
Review: This is a fun and whimsical take on the Snow White story. It has the bones of the story and many unique elements that set it apart from other retellings. My biggest issue is that it takes so long to get to the actual story. There is a lot of set-up for a small book, and I was only interested in the book by the last half. Overall, it was a fun and whimsical Snow White retelling with many LGBTQA+ themes and characters. ...more

Themes: 4/5 Romance: 4.5/5 Spice Factor: 3.5 Enjoyment Factor: I think this one tie for my favorite in the series (tied with book 1). I love the complexity of the characters and the realistic plot line. Brynn and Deacon had so much fun and fantastic chemistry that they jumped off the page. I honestly just wanted more from them. I love that Bella Matthews still prioritizes the female friendships within this series, as that is their point of strength. I also really enjoyed the darker themes in this book and think they were handled well for such a short book.
