I read this amazing series last year and have to wait patiently for every single installment to be release. For those who are new to this series, you are in a for treat because right now Callie Hart is offering the entire box set for just 99cent! What are you waiting for?
*spoiler free review (extracted from my previous review for the series)*
I seldom rate a novella 5 stars because I often felt they were too short to garner such rating. Something is often missing, either the incomplete plot or the unresolved issue/relationship. But as I reached the 4th installment, I've decided that this series totally deserves 5 amazing stars.
This is a story of Sloane, the ER doctor who was looking for her missing sister. She is willing to give up anything including her virginity to get any information. That is how she meet Zeth Mayfair, the anti-hero of the story. He is obviously on the wrong side of the law, he is a thug/hitman/criminal and a man with some deviant sexual urges. She should be afraid, but he offer his help that she can't deny.
Initially,I thought this series is going to be heavy on BDSM, but as the series progress, that was actually being toned down. Nonetheless, every sexual encounters are still freaking hot. I mean, he is Zeth Mayfair after all, the man who like to play with his toys and never leave his black duffel bag behind.
Every installment left me pretty satisfied on the sex department, no blue balls for me. But this couple obviously take times to open up their heart and discuss anything deeper than their sexual urges.
On the plot department, there is never short on action and suspense to keep me waiting for every release date. Things just get more and more deadly and more players were being introduced. Oh, the suspense. It was action-packed at its finest. There is a lot of thing happened from #1 to #6, you just have to read it for yourself. Honorable mentioned of the awesome secondary characters, Lacey and Michael. These two deserves all the attention that they deserve as well.
But what makes me love this series so much is that Sloane and Zeth had an understanding and acknowledged what they have together is something special. Zeth can be so sweet sometimes. He started off as someone so standoffish and close up and just wanted to bang, to someone who wants to be a better person for the girl he loves, which is so endearing.
Highly recommended for those who love a highly erotic, slightly dark and action-packed romantic suspense. Everyone needs to meet the legendary Zeth Mayfair!

Ripley is a psychopath, a ruthless, menacing man and you wish you were dead if you actually meet him. I need to actually get my head check that I find his skill and personality - charismatic. Thinking about him just make shiver run down my spine, in a good way.
Honestly, with the numbers of scary anti-heroes I've met, the things Ripley did here isn't something I've never seen. I guess I've read too much and sorta immune to violence and gore. If you are new to this, maybe don't eat your lunch while reading.
The heroine, Dylan is a feisty little thing. She's young and vulnerable, might be a tad naive and inexperience, but she is a tough nut and a fighter. Despite her age, she's not someone to be underestimate. I like that her character had a good balance between strong and weakness.
The entire read is filled with suspense and intrigued. I guarantee you are gonna got hook right from the first page till the last and dying for the next one.
This is a serial with four episodes, but fear not for the cliffhangers as each subsequent episode will be release in a week succession. I have all four with me right now and I'm gonna devour it asap, while feeling guilty for not savoring it slowly.

Holy shit! I finally understand what is the fuss about this book. I refrained from reading this series for the longest time because I thought is aboutHoly shit! I finally understand what is the fuss about this book. I refrained from reading this series for the longest time because I thought is about alien orgy. So apparently the orgy only happened in book 1 and not book 2. I don't have any problem following the story despite jumping straight to book 2. These aliens are really kinky mofo, eventhough Alec and the Krie King, Zercy didn't actually do the dirty until half way through the book, the story is highly sexual and make me perpetually horny. There is also a good plot beside all the sex stuff. This book is long, but with everything that is happening I just plow through the pages and wish it is longer. Zercy is so damn swoony and romantic. The things that came out of his mouth, just make me melt into a puddle. I'm not sure why book 3 is not here yet, but at least there is a well done HFN here. ...more

I've never read this author duo before and for a title that resemble a kinky porn header, I didn't expect the story to be so good. It definitely satisfied my daddy and prison kink, but this story is so much more than the smut presented. The characters are so well developed that they have me falling for a serial killer! Elias is a 18 year old hacker who get into a supermax prison with a serial killer as his cellmate. First thing that came to my mind was, why is he even in a supermax prison?? Something is definitely wrong and part of the suspense was about Elias and Hughes trying to figure out the reason Elias is here. Hughes is our anti-hero, the serial killer. There is nothing innocent about him and he doesn't possess a heart of gold, but he is such a good Daddy, who take care and protect of his boy. Hughes is definitely a violent psychopath and I might be worry on Elias behalf if I didn't see that they both are match made in hell. There are a lot of violence going on in the prison and the evil guards are horrible. There are enemies and allies abound and Elias needs to learn who to trust. I actually feel that romance between Elias and Hughes pretty epic. They love each other fiercely, is like till death do they apart and they will incinerate everyone that gets in their way....more

Peter is the innocent boy that was unfortunately got under the radar of Lucien, the mafia boss. One look at Peter's face, Lucien wanted him and he don't care how. I thought Lucien is a crazy, overbearing sonofabitch. But I only get to hate him for a short moment because the way he would spoil Peter with all the finer things left me swooned over. Lucien is dominant and demanding in and out of the bedroom and he isn't afraid to show the world Peter belongs to him. That's just something so sexy about a man staking his claim. The relationship between Lucien and Peter is on the side of D/s with spanking but nothing too kinky.
There are plenty of talk surrounding the Lucien's family and their enemies. However, I find it lack depths and details. Most of the things that happened mainly to bring forward the relationship and show how Peter grows to accept Lucien's lifestyle. There are more than one occasion whereby I questioned the way the author solve the conflict. Anyway, I tried to read it for Lucien and Peter and try not to delve too much on the other stuff. ...more
Holy shitastic! This is another epic installment for our beloved series. We are back again with Dom and Seth and things couldn't get more wrong for myHoly shitastic! This is another epic installment for our beloved series. We are back again with Dom and Seth and things couldn't get more wrong for my boys. Every time before I start on a new installment, I will take a deep breath and brace myself for the things to come, but no amount of mental preparation can prepare me for this.
The entire story took place in Singapore where Dom and Seth went for a vacation, but of course, they end up bumping into the elusive Mr. Tropico and their lovely holiday turned into bloodshed in a split second. I'm someone who lives within driving distance to Singapore and I might not look at it the same way ever again.
The writing duo are a total sadist. I bet they spent all their time plotting and planning ways to torture the characters without killing them. The events that Dom and Seth went through in this book are way out of my comfort zone, yet I still read it with such ferocity that I finished it in one day. I'm glad that we finally get some answer in regards to the unsolved mystery pertaining Seth and his family and what caused these violence and death.
This series is really long and sometime I wonder where are we heading for, but in this Book 9, I feel we are finally moving forward and the end goal is something I can visualize already. There are a couple more books to go and I don't know how much more do they need to suffer. I wonder my poor heart can take all these stress and anxiety. I'm practically sweating bullets reading this. What makes it such a worthwhile read is the love between Dom and Seth. They have been through so much, coming back from the brink of death many times and they are now stronger than ever. I'm really proud of my boys. They are both such polar opposite, yet they fit so well together. Looking back to the early days, I can appreciate how far they have come and grow as a person, as well as a couple....more

It actually works very well as a standalone and the only secondary couple that appear here is James and Ryan. I did feel a bit curious and want to know what the hell is happening with these two, so a little detour to read the blurb for Book 5 and a review for it manage to sate my curiosity.
This is a story of pretty boy heir, Luke who did something reckless to impress his father and ended up being kidnap by the Russian mob boss, Roman. First of all, I really like the tone of the book. It manage to hover between serious and humorous very well. It is funny without feeling like a slapstick comedy, it also has the serious and intense moment that make my breathe hitch with anticipation, but without being too serious that make it feel like a dark read. The perfect blend for a mafia romance.
From the blurb, Roman is painted as a homophobic villain that I thought I will need more time to warm up to him. However, I actually find myself being drawn to his domineering personality instantly. He's a straight mobster and being in his position is only natural for him to deny his attraction to Luke in the beginning and continue sleeping with woman, but I don't actually see him as a homophobic asshole. As Luke finally wears him down, Roman proves that he is open with his sexuality and he is such a confident asshole that he don't even care about what others think.
Luke is a hopeless romantic with a sinfully pouty lips. Like seriously, with the way the author describe Luke's mouth, I want it to be molded and place as an exhibit at the museum. The lips that leads to war and mayhem.
Luke and Roman together just sizzle with attraction and they proceed to set my kindle on fire. I like that each of their sexual encounter feels meaningful in a way that brought the story forward. They are both kinky and there's the element of D/s relationship, but it doesn't feel mechanical like other BDSM romance I read. They just feel so natural together and despite their 'captor/captive' situation, they are mostly honest and genuine with their feelings.
I don't mind if this turn into Stockholm syndrome romance, but the author actually try to steer us away from it by giving us a straight headed Luke. Luke never once fantasize about living happily ever after with his captor, Roman. Luke still dream for a nice husband and a lot of kids and he know Roman is not the one. The time gap that was put in place help to reinforce that their bond is so strong that distance and time didn't dim their need for each other. The first half of the story, we got the force proximity/sex/chemistry, the second half of the book deals more with feelings when they are apart, but most importantly Roman realized how important Luke is and the length he will go through to protect his boy. What's better than a protective Russian lover. Le sigh. ...more

Colin, a med student lead a mundane but highly demanding life. One day he decided to spice up his life by taking a wrong way home, which lead to some big consequences.
Here comes, Taron, who is mute, a literally ax murderer who was caught red handed by Colin. Suffice to say, Taron can't let Colin leave him now. Cue Stockholm Syndrome because we knew they are going to fuck and Colin is going to enjoy it.
Yes, Taron is a captor and a murderer, but I don't feel the intensity of this being a dark romance because Taron isn't actually a bad guy. There isn't any torture scene or any moment whatsoever that I want bad things to happen to Taron. There was one moment that I wanted him to do the right thing, but I also understand how he came to such a decision. His character may appeal to reader who can't stomach villainous hero.
The circumstances that brought Colin and Taron together might be unusual, but they seems to find a common ground and their mutual love for off grid living. I'm actually jealous of Taron's homestead and I was contemplating off grid living with my dogs. Colin didn't just fell into insta-lust with his captor. His emotion is running havoc and he was thinking of ways to flee all the time, which is only normal and I was more interested to see how Taron slowly changed his mind.
Wrong Way Home is a refreshing take on the captor/captive theme, a bratty, opinionated captive with his mute captor who love cats....more
