After Tilly accidently reveals her secret to Sullivan there is tension and animosity between them. They are forced together, where Tilly begins to question her initial decision about Sullivan's character. Meanwhile, he is still under the impression that Tilly is in love with someone else. As there story unfolds, dormant feelings and passions spill on to the pages to make a heartfelt and steamy story. My only wish is that it was longer and explained a bit more about Lady X and the consequences for certain people. However, I would absolutely recommend this book!

I even went to sign up for her newsletter, because you get a free book when you do. Now, Fate Awakened is the story of Hans and Briony. Hans is a Vulk (werewolf) who lives a solitary life because of things that happened in his past. Briony is a young woman who is lured from her village and thrown into Hans' path, in a very erotic way. They work together to hunt and stop their enemy. Secrets come out that alter their future. There are just so many things I like it will be impossible to do so without putting most of the book in my review. I cannot wait for the next book! Just believe me when I say you will not be disappointed.

Mariana is an Opera singer who has her dreams shattered because of two drunken selfish lords. She finds shelter at the Palace. However, she doesn't realize that the Duke of Valkirk, is also going to be boarding there. Valkirk, James, is a war hero the whole nation idolizes. He is fluent it Italian, icy stares, and not showing emotion. While, Mariana is just the opposite.
There are so many internal emotional struggles, you just can't help but anticipate when the flood gates will burst! To top it off, there are these sneaky lines that will have you busting out laughing. If you can't tell, I absolutely LOVED this book!

He has one night where he gets completely plastered, and it leads him on a search for The Lady in Lavender. There were a couple of times where I rolled my eyes at the unbelievable course of the rumors and Johnathan's reaction. Even though there were some 'Are you serious' moments, it is still absolutely worth reading.

They come together to destroy nude paintings that are of her mother. I really wanted to like this book, but it just wasn't for me. The characters seemed very immature and Cornelius seemed like a child in some scenes. There was a scene where he whines that he's brave too. I will say it was written well, but I like when the characters have more substance.

Benjamin is a cold unfeeling duke who is soft as pudding inside. Noelle is a caring and capable orphan who has found a home and family in her little town. They struggle to overcome the hurts that have been done to them and learn to love again. This is such a sweet Christmas story to get you in the holiday spirit.
The narrator is really good for this story, her voice is perfect to project the sweetness throughout the book.

Now, for my review. I have been waiting for Finch's story from the very beginning! All the other Terror's opened up about why they were sent to the Turner's School, he never told his tale, and what a heartbreaking story it is. Instead of going into the military, he becomes a vicar, because he feels it suits him better. After an unexpected turn of events he becomes the Duke and therefore has to go to London where he meets Victoria. Victoria is a widow who desperately wants children and a partner in life. As she gets to know Finch, she wants that man to be him, but he is determined to never bring his hurt and pain into her life.
There are many heartbreaking scenes in this story, but there are also many heartwarming moments. I love how Victoria knows what she wants and decides to go after it, and her strength. It is the perfect contrast for Finch's vulnerabilities. I absolutely adored this series. I will be looking forward to other titles by Alexa Aston.

Most of them take an hour or less to read, so they are perfect for when you just want to get a quick read in! There is such a wide variety of stories which means there is something for everyone. I also loved the little Author's Notes that explain the origins of the story. I will say that out of them all, there is one that really stuck with me. I just couldn't stop thinking about it, Moonstone Landing by Meara Platt. It is simply heartbreaking. I don't really know why that story stuck with me, but it definitely left it's mark on me.

She has a way of making the characters come alive and their personalities shine. Emma is adorable! When she gets nervous the most hilarious things just pop out of her mouth! There are dozens of scenes that are my favorite, but one in my top five is when Emma is trying to distract Peyton:
She pointed to a discombobulated mishmash of colors and shapes splattered on a canvas. “That painting is absolutely fabulous. I’ve noticed it every visit, and could spend hours staring at it. You must tell me where you got it, Lord Dryfus, so I can secure one for my home.” Everyone turned to the large artwork. Emma peered closer, frowned. Upon further study, perhaps it wasn’t a meaningless subject after all. Shapes started to form into people, colors into body parts. She gasped. It showed a man… And a woman… And another man. And another woman. And about a dozen of each more, for good measure, without the little indulgence of clothing. And who knew people could bend like that? Peyton’s eye twitched. Approximately a year of stunned silence passed before Dryfus cleared his throat. “I’m… er… glad you like it. Ladies do not usually comment on it.” “I don’t see why not.” She cringed. Blending in with the settee was still not working. “It is a most extraordinary painting.” Peyton leaned forward. “Tell me, what do you like most about it?” Emma choked. “It’s just so… moving.” Definitely the wrong word. “It really strikes you deep down.” Far worse. “Deep, deep down. Really at your core.” Her mind had clearly booked a trip to America without her. Dryfus made some sort of strangling noise. Priscilla now looked like she was trying to blend in with the settee. And Peyton? He looked like he wanted to devour her.
There are many lively conversations about rashes on asses, log trips to America, and alligators! I can gush about this book for hours! It is hilarious, but at the same time it tackles important heartbreaking social problems of the time. I have read hundreds and hundreds of Historical romance books, but I would have to put this in my top 10 of all time! I can't wait for the next book in the series.
