My love for this one never ceases even the second time! I've never read a more passionate book than this masterpiece. If you haven't read this yet, what are you waiting for? I won't write a long-ass review why I loved this book because I know words can't do it justice. But, if you are sensitive to cheating in any way, shape, or form, unfortunately, this is not for you.

Damn. What we have here is a real gem. A remarkably remarkable story about love, loyalty, and sacrifices. Each of us has the freedom to choose. You can always choose the right and you can choose the wrong however you feel like. But what if you chose the wrong one because you believe that it was the right thing to do? It might be wrong in the eyes of the other people but you know that it was an act of love from the depths of your heart. Open your senses and let Corinne Michaels tell you a story.

"You loved me once, and I hope that someday, you find someone worthy of all you have to give.”
Serenity shut out herself from romantic relationships after losing someone she loved fourteen years ago. After her last heartbreak, she vowed to never let herself attached with another man again. Serenity was a gynecological oncologist whose greatest mission was to find cure for ovarian cancer. She got her inspirations from her mother who died from the said condition.
Westin was a neurosurgeon at the same hospital Serenity was working. He was in a "beneficial" relationship with her for two years now. Westin wanted more. But because he was Westin, he waited two years for her. He showed her along the way that he was sincere and he was different from the man who left her fourteen years ago. When Serenity eventually started to lower her walls and let Westin in, someone who could ruin everything was back. But it was up to Serenity to decide what she's willing to risk. Her heart and her career or the person who needed her the most.
“You know, when a man truly loves a woman, he’ll never move on. We all have that one person. Sometimes we marry them, spending an eternity trying to prove we’re good enough for her. Other times, we lose them and spend our lives wondering how we were so stupid to let that woman go."
Before you think of the worst, there is no emotional or physical cheating between the main characters or any characters. Also, there is no smut, sorry to disappoint. No problem though, their chemistry will save your day. If you are looking for stories with soulful characters, riveting storyline, and serene ending. Plus, angst-fest, nerve-racking, and definitely capable of making your pretty eyes bloodshot, I promise you this is your book.
Now, let's have a conversation regarding our main characters. Serenity was a strong and determined woman. Every choice she made was selfless and I adored her so much for that. Serenity defines life itself and that family is always first no matter what. Westin, on the other hand, was a deeply devoted and patient man. The fact that he'd been faithful to Serenity for two years without any reason to solidified his character for me. He was a man of showing not only telling.
“I would die for you, Ren. Do you know that?”
Moreover, I would like to include Bryce in the conversation. He's that important in the story and I really want to say my thoughts and feelings about him. Frankly, I had a hard time liking him. I blamed him for everything that happened between him and Serenity. I found his reasons ridiculous and immature. I hated him for not waiting. He simply had to wait. It was simple as that. Serenity's mother was fighting for cancer at that time and he should have supported her decisions by waiting, but sadly he didn't. He said he truly loved her but it wasn't the real love kind of thing. Regardless, Bryce was young and his actions was absolutely understandable. Eventually, I liked him at the end.
“Don’t ever allow someone else the power to break you. The man you love, the one you share your heart with, should always treat it with care. He shouldn’t forsake it.”
It was emotional watching these characters developed, especially Serenity. Her journey to finding herself was heartwarming. It was an utter joy seeing her having closure with the past and forgave herself and had total acceptance.
Lastly, without the other characters, this book would not end up like this. The worth-mentioning names are: Mrs. Whistley and her son John for showing us the importance of time. Allison and Bryce, for showing us that there is always hope, just smile, and second chances in love is without limits. Rich and his wife Ester for showing us what the real love kind of thing is. And Mick and Everton, Serenity's father and younger brother, for showing us that it may be impossible to recover from the greatest loss of our lives, but it will always be possible if we are together.
Overall, I extremely loved the book. Every character in this story are three-dimensional and each serves a purpose. Gorgeous writing Corinne Michaels style and unique storyline. This story should not be missed.
I highly recommend this to those who loves romance with life.

... The then meets the now and the future.
This is a completely captivating book. Two woven love stories set on the past and the present, and was told through two different point of views, Emma and Amelia. It was a truly special story seasoned with exceptional characters and the extraordinary lives they have led.
Note: This is a contemporary romance.
“Love is stronger than hate,”
It all started with an old diary hidden under the bed. Amelia was dying and she trusted her granddaughter, Emma, to keep her untold past. Through Amelia's words, we were brought back on January of 1942. It was the year the Nazis occupied Czechoslovakia, where 17 years old Amelia once lived. It was also the year when she met a young German soldier named Charlie who changed her life forever.
"I knew I would never be the same again, but at least I could rest knowing there was one good man amongst so many terrible ones. Humanity was not entirely lost."
Historical. A forbidden love story between a German soldier and a Jew.
Words are not enough to express how their story made me feel. Charlie and Amelia means everything to me. Charlie was an amazing young man. A real hero. To try to follow the things he did for Amelia required the bravest of hearts. I'm gladly taking my hat off for the things he worked out to survive the love they had for each other. Fiction or not, people like Charlie and Amelia, who fought hard for someone they truly love earns my great respect.
"Sometimes, even the toughest warriors who survive the odds and somehow escape the shadows of death, can still fall helpless and weak at the mercy of love."
Contemporary. A love story between a cardiologist and a designer.
What to say? Not only Charlie and Amelia stole the spotlight, but Jackson and Emma shined the brightest as well. They were absolutely adorable together. They weren't perfect. They were humans with flaws. They were someone who both went through bad relationships. But with each other on their sides, they learned how to be the best versions of themselves.
Overall, I extremely loved the book. It was equally tragic and charming and hopeful and full of love. It was angsty and heartbreaking and simply all the emotions. But in the end, it was all worth it. I am so glad I took a chance on this story because it is something that will stay with me for a long time. I urge everyone to also give this one a try.
Charlie:
“I fought to stay alive so I could come back for you. My eyes were opened to the destruction this world is living through, and I couldn’t leave you here alone.”
Jackson:
“I’ve always been under the impression that the bond between two people is something that grows over time, but I’ve been wrong. I think it all starts with a connection and grows into something more than I can comprehend at this moment.”
Trigger Warning: Vivid depiction of everything regarding war.

Ove is one of the most popular fictional characters of the 21st century I have the opportunity meeting. A brilliantly crafted character that I highly admire. Ove taught us the meaning of love, life, and the importance of having a purpose in ways that he knew. He also shared to us one of the most painful things he experienced in life; being old and lonely. A poignant, heartwarming, thought-provoking novel that I recommend to all ages.
Note: This is a contemporary fiction.
"Death is a strange thing ... We fear it, yet most of us fear more than anything that it may take someone other than ourselves. For the greatest fear of death is always that it will pass us by. And leave us there alone."

I started this book while on the road from Trondheim to Bodø. I was supposed to spend those hours taking a nap because I had to drive the next hours. But fuck all of it because I needed Oliver's story after I finished the other epic one by the same author, Still Beating. I have visited Bodø a lot of times. That city in Northern Norway—that not a single tourist I've met spoke about—never fails to knock me off of my feet every time. Like Lotus. This book that amazed me, captivated me, and proved to me how beautiful it was must be also discovered by many.
Note: This is a friends to lovers romance.
"...We’re a fucked-up, complicated species prone to self-sabotage, baseless insecurities, and the notion that there’s always something better around the corner. We’re constantly chasing imaginary destinations, thinking we’re missing out, wanting more. We’re never truly present.”
Oliver had escaped captivity after being locked up for almost 22 years. Sydney was stunned beyond belief hearing this news. Inseparable since kids, these two characters should learn to navigate the new world they were living in, together. Sydney and her past world. A world with her long lost best friend on her side. And Oliver and his strange world. Rediscovering himself and the actual world he never knew.
I simply loved this book. The promise of the story lured me wide-awake most of the ride that ended up me like a zombie trekking the mountains the day after. The romance gripped me. The suspense hooked me. The twists and turns stunned me the same way every time I visit the maelstroms of Saltstraumen. And Oliver and Sydney as individuals inspirited me. They were truly a moving portrayal of never ending love and hope. Striving to reach the end of the tunnel with undying love as armors in the most toughest situations. Oliver was an extremely vulnerable character, with childlike innocence, and possessing true heroic characteristics that I found endearing.
"The sensation of another human being so intimately entwined—the palpable connection, thick and heady. It’s more than physical. It’s more than surface-deep. It’s unparalleled."
Overall, I extremely loved the book. Another book by this author that I added as favourites. Immersive writing, utterly consuming storytelling with riveting storyline, uplifting romance, beautifully devastating characters, and most importantly, available on Kindle Unlimited. This is a true inspirational love story and so much more. This is a true inspirational love story, Jennifer Hartmann's unique version. A story that distinguishes fake from genuine human emotions in the midst of tragedy.
I recommend this to those who likes: Jennifer Hartmann, friends to lovers, captive, dark, romantic suspense, emotional read, and a happily ever after.
"I close my eyes and make a wish. I wish on fireworks, on every shooting star, on birthday candles and dandelion seeds. I wish to the man in the sky with all my heart, with each tumbling tear ... I wish for tomorrow and the tomorrow after that. I wish for all the tomorrows ... with her."
I highlighted almost half of the book. And I love to share some of my favourite lines. So, if you are in the mood to read, here are a few:
"She is, by far, the most perplexing, endearing, complicated, beautiful, and charming human I’ve come across so far."
"Taking a seat along the side of the bed, I fold my hands in my lap and wait, glancing absently around the room. My eyes land on her bedside table, distracted for a moment by the hypnotizing lava lamp, then shift to a novel with a bookmark peeking out halfway through. There’s an oddly shaped device sitting atop the book that has me furrowing my brows with curiosity. That curiosity gets the better of me, and I reach for the object, studying it with a mix of intrigue and bewilderment. My thumb hits a button and the contraption bursts to life, buzzing and vibrating in my hands. I let go, startled, and it clatters to her hardwood floor, causing a ruckus. It must be some kind of electronic massager. Fascinating."
“It’s important to have people in our corner, rooting for our successes, ... And sometimes we need to be our own cheerleaders.” My eyes case her thoughtful expression. “How so?” “We need to fight for what’s in our hearts. No one else can do that for us,” she tells me pointedly. “And if there is anything on this earth worth fighting for, it’s love.”
"I love her, so entirely, so painfully ... She is my favorite part of me."
“It’s hard to break someone who has already experienced the worst out of life."

... A memorable life of Nicholas and Micah Sparks.
This is nonfiction. Everything I've written in this review happened in real life.
Note: This is a memoir.
"I am nothing special, of this I am sure. I am a common man with common thoughts and I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough."
I've started reading romance stories when I was 14. My first book was 'A Walk to Remember' by Nicholas Sparks. I remember I've never been so heartbroken like I was when I've finished that novel. Imagine, my first ever romance book didn't end up happily. But I realized through the years, that not even a lot of happily ever afters could compare to the amazing yet short life Landon and Jamie have shared.
"I'm sorry she never got her miracle." "She did get her miracle, Landon, her miracle was you."
My second book was 'The Notebook,' a widely popular debut novel of Nicholas Sparks. It is a second chance romance, and contains a whole lot of heartaches as well. Gladly, Noah and Allie led a long life. Happily married and have kids. Remembering that novel, Noah was the best hero I've ever met. I even thought of exactly like this; "When I grow up, I want to be like him." I've never found a fictional character that was so faithful, hopeful, patient, and as real as Noah was. I've had my fair share of heroes, but Noah is still my number one.
"My Dearest Allie. I couldn't sleep last night because I know that it's over between us. I'm not bitter anymore, because I know that what we had was real. And if in some distant place in the future we see each other in our new lives, I'll smile at you with joy and remember how we spent the summer beneath the trees, learning from each other and growing in love. The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds, and that's what you've given me. That's what I hope to give to you forever. I love you. I'll be seeing you. Noah."
My third and last book of that year was 'Dear John.' Actually, I've managed to finish three books when I was 14, and every one of it was by Nicholas Sparks. I hadn't had an enough money to purchase books at that time, but fortunately, my mother has some copies—although, unfortunately, it was limited and only every one of it was romance—on her small shelf. I think I did like romance though and Nicholas Sparks books because I've continued going into it. Anyway, let's go back to 'Dear John.' This was the most emotional book I've ever read. The MOST. There's no amount of pain and ache other books had—included the books I've read this past few years—that this book had brought. I couldn't imagine the hurt in John's heart watching Savannah, the woman he fell in love with building a family in other man's arms.
"Dear John, tell me everything. Write it all down, that way, we’ll be with each other all the time, even if we’re not with each other at all."
I don't know but after that I stopped reading for months, I think.
When I was barely 15 years old, I went back on reading his books beginning with 'A Message in the Bottle.' It was a love triangle, unrequited love kind of thing. And it didn't end up in happy ending, if you're wondering. Because it was Nicholas Sparks, I've finished it sobbing uncontrollably until I dried out. If I describe that book in one word, I would say "novelty." It was so unique, so powerful, so wonderful, and so heartwrenching. My heart died when one of the characters died. But it gave me something to hold on to; that in the middle of grief and suffering, this is where a person's hope could be tested.
"This is not a goodbye, my darling, this is a thank you. Thank you for coming into my life and giving me joy, thank you for loving me and receiving my love in return. Thank you for the memories I will cherish forever. But most of all, thank you for showing me that there will come a time when I can eventually let you go. I love you, T."
My next book was 'Nights in Rodanthe.' And then 'The Rescue.' 'The Longest Ride.' 'The Lucky One.' 'The Wedding.' 'The Choice.' 'The Last Song.' ' And lastly, 'Two by Two.' Every time I read his books, I went to my room, securely locked it, and spent 10 hours crying my eyes out. I was almost 16 when I gave up with his books. Not that I didn't enjoy it, I loved his books. But I was just a teenager who loved to read, and I didn't like my fellow lads to see my eyes bloodshot and my lips swollen from reading, so I decided to rest for a while. And it was when I was 18 when I discovered Goodreads. And found out that there are other romance books to read that wasn't like Nicholas Sparks's. But still, I always sought emotional books. Blame Nicholas.
"People want pretty much the same things: They wanted to be happy. Most young people seemed to think that those things lay somewhere in the future, while most older people believed they lay in the past."
Today, I'm really happy and so excited to continue my endeavor to read all of his books. And I've never been so glad that I chose to start with his memoir, "Three Weeks With My Brother." And as usual, I cried a lot and hard. I've never realized where and who Nicholas Sparks drew his inspiration from every time he begin to write a novel. But after finishing this, I understood where he came from. Nicholas Sparks didn't have an easy life as well. He suffered a lot of heartbreaks as much as the characters in his novels. I was so brokenhearted knowing that he wrote 'The Notebook,' 'A Walk To Remember,' 'A Message in the Bottle,' etc. while his family one after the next began to pass away. I once hated Nicholas Sparks for writing such emotional books that didn't have happily ever afters. But now, I salute him. He've been there; emotional, mental, and physical grief a man could ever endure. I have no idea how he was able to survive every one of it and could even manage to write the most epic and unforgettable romance stories ever.
Three Weeks With My Brother is a deeply moving true story about childhood, dreams, family, love, loss, faith, hope, and brotherhood. This is Nicholas and his brother Micah written novel, based from their real experiences in life. And as always, this story utterly and completely captured my heart. The mood, the writing, the characters, the story, the morals, everything it all delivers is beyond perfection.
In simple words, it was because of the influence of Nicholas Sparks that I've come to love romance stories.

I took a breather for three days straight because of Everlast. I thought I was prepared for the worst things to happen like death, separation, love triangle—or whatsoever. But unfortunately, I wasn't. I trusted myself that I could manage the impact because I've read a lot of emotional stories, but I have nothing, not even an ounce of explanation how this one affected me so much.

Lincoln and Molly were best friends since they were kids. The prequel, Forevermore, which you must read prior to this, was their story when they met at 8, had their first kiss, first love, marriage, first child, and first everything. They're trying to be a perfect family, be the best parents they could for their children, Gray and Gemma. Their life was full of smiles and laughters, until it wasn't.
Accepting the fate of Lincoln and Molly wasn't easy. It was a struggle because it felt like I belong to them, to their family. Thanks for the storytelling. Their grief and hope was palpable. I wish I could reach through the pages and give them a hug.
IF YOU THINK YOU'LL LIKE IT, PLEASE GO BLIND.
*Contains Spoilers*
I didn't get emotional because someone between them would eventually leave. It was because of Lincoln's hope, the tiny hope to make his love one better was heartbreaking and inspiring. It wasn't only that. Their daily living in-between was the most painful part of all. But their love for each other, for their children, for their family saved the day! It was one of a kind of love that I envied. A love that I'm always hoping to witness every time I start a book.
"I’ve always and will always belong by your side, even when you’re no longer here. You’ve been my rock, my soul mate, my everything for so long, that I don’t know how to live without you. I’m afraid to live without you.”
Molly was a beautiful heroine inside out. She's a selfless woman. A great wife for Lincoln. The best mother for Gray and Gemma. I adored her courage to face the inevitable. I adored her for making her family happy even she's terrified. I adored her for accepting her fate. Watching her eventually slipped apart from her family was nothing but tearful.
“I neeeed yyyou to knowww that nooo matterrr where I gooo, my hearrrt will alwaysss belong to yooou. I lovvve you nooow. I’lll love you tommmorrow. I’ll looove you forreverrr."
*Spoiler-free*
Lincoln and Molly are the definition of the term soul mate. I have no doubts and concerns about them, they were written to make readers like me love 'em. Lincoln, in a word, devoted. Molly, in a word, brave. I will never ever forget not just their story, but also the other epic stories that was a part of this amazing journey.
I do NOT recommend this to those who dislikes: Extremely sad or distressing stories.
I extremely recommend this to those who likes: Alex Grayson, friends to lovers, emotional read, historical romance, and a happy ever after.
“I have no doubt if we’re both alive and breathing, whether in these bodies or others, I’d find you. You’ve always been my soul mate, Molly. God made my soul to perfectly match yours.”

Toby and Lilac both embarked on a lifelong journey with full of love and passion. They're these characters that were easy to connect to. I loved Lilac from the very first sentence that she'd said, and I adored Toby the first time he laid eyes on Lilac.
Their journey to happy ever after wasn't easy. They faced obstacles that tested their strength and loyalty. They made bad decisions and learned from it. They'd done something wrong to make something right. They sacrificed years to be finally together. And most of all, they were flawed yet beautiful.
Tobi is a true hero. Lilac is an ideal heroine. Every character in the story is unique and wonderfully crafted. And the writing! It is exquisite.
So overall, I absolutely loved the book! To be honest, the story held my heart captive since I read the blurb. So, if you liked it, read it. I can't recommend it enough!
Thank you so much Dora for your lovely and convincing review! I loved how you represented Toby and Lilac's life-story.
If I could highlight the entire book, I would. Here are my favourite lines:
“A young girl once told me to hunt for magic. I guess I found it in her. Now I'd do anything to protect it.”
"Kissing Lilac was the most natural thing on the planet."
"If you think for one fucking minute I would let you suffer, you have no idea how much I love you."
"You’re the best thing to ever happen to me. Sing like I’m listening … every single day."
"All he ever did wrong was love me so right,"
"Please spend them wisely, my friends. Spread yourselves far, travel, love, and touch as many souls as you can before you return to the Earth as dust and live in the leaves of the mighty oak and his friends in the forest."

I'm so happy yet sad that this series is over. I will truly miss all those well-portrayed characters that made this story a top-notch.
In summary, all motherfuckers (the sheriff, deputies, rapists, abusers, and traitors) had payed their sins. The town of Delaney Grove has been burned to ashes. The original killer, Christopher Denver, was eradicated forever. Victoria, Jacob, Robert, Marcus, and Jasmine finally found peace. Lana and Logan got their happy ever after — in their own twisted way.

“If hatred didn’t exist, love wouldn’t either, for one is formed by the other. I love and hate this town."
This is one of the BEST series I've ever read. If you like a good revenge-suspense romance, give this one a chance! Lana Myers and Logan Bennett won't surely disappoint ya.
This was like watching a favourite TV crime show that you couldn't pause on the night before the examination day. Then after, you procrastinated.
This series just keeps getting more and more and more. Those past three books were nothing compared to this one. My favourite in the series! Honestly, I tried to look for any plot holes and shaky parts. But I never succeeded. So yeah, damn impossible.
I loved every second of the story. Lana and Logan were perfect for each other. What Lana suffered in the past was indescribable. I hated Logan a bit for what he did at the ending. But I want to know how he'll fix it. I am looking forward to the finale!

"I’m in love with Weston. Holy shit, I am so in love with him, I can feel it in every molecule of my body. I haven’t just jumped off the cliff, I’m swan diving off the ledge."
Long Live the Beautiful Hearts was nothing like I expected. The sky's the limit ... this was universal! I had glimpses of Weston and Autumn being together in the first book. But, I never realized how magical they were as a couple. Picture-perfect. I have no words!
Bring Down the Stars ended during a war in Syria in their first deployment where Weston saved Connor's life. Meanwhile, the sequel started over Connor saving Weston's life. Weston made himself a cover to protect an unconscious Connor from bullets. Weston was shot 4 times at the back. In that life-threatening situation, Connor had discovered that Weston was truly in love with Autumn. But, it's too late. Someone was dying and they both made a huge mistake that may be impossible to forgive.
"The thought of living without you…” I squeezed my eyes shut, my voice a whisper. “It’s fucking unbearable..."
Connor broke up with Autumn when he knew the truth. He was full of guilt and anguish. He blamed himself ... because his bestfriend couldn't walk again. As a friend, Autumn never once left Weston when he was in the hospital recovering. But, Weston didn't let her withhold her life for him, because he thought he never deserved a chance to be happy again.
“You need to do what I can’t do, Autumn. Get up and walk away.”
As the story progressed, Connor left Boston because he couldn't stand seeing his bestfriend in a wheelchair. Weston, though, reclaimed his friendship with Autumn. They have happy moments together. Swoon-worthy moments. And then Autumn finally realized that she loved Weston. Nothing like the love he felt with Connor. Until she knew the truth. That broke them together.
"How can I speak your name When every word that follows Should be a truth That destroys your happiness?"
There's nothing to worry about, this book ends in HEA. A so beautiful ending that will leave you in tears of joy and happiness.
So, that was it. I survived. At last! Though, I have a headache. But, it is worthy! Everything is worthy if it made you lost in different emotions all the way. And this book? I will do anything to experience such thing, again.
I absolutely recommend this DUET!

What a ride! This was just my second book this year but I'm already emotionally drained. I never regretted anything though. I absolutely loved it so much! The best book so far! I'm a little biased, but I think nothing can surpass my love for this book in awhile.
Jonah met Kacey the first time in a not so good way. Kacey was drunk and Jonah was the assigned driver to make sure she got home. But, because of fate not on his side, Kacey ended on his couch in his apartment. He had no idea then that the best thing that would happen to him had just started.
The choices he made established a friendship, though he wanted more. They wanted more. But, he didn't want to be selfish. He couldn't let someone in and only leave her in the end.
"I can’t take her down that road with me because eventually we’ll come to the place where I have to go on, and she can’t follow."
Jonah saved her that night from self-destruction. Being with Jonah opened her eyes. She realized that being in a band didn't make her happy. So, she quitted and started a life in Las Vegas, where Jonah resides. As their relationship blossomed, heartbreaking secrets and painful truths have been revealed. But, Kacey never left. She so much cared for him. She never felt this kind of connection before. Jonah changed her.
"I would love you forever, Kacey, if I only had the chance."
I'm so heartbroken right now! I really adored Jonah and Kacey being together and that happened. I'm devastated. Fuck. I didn't expect it! And I praised Emma Scott for that. She played my emotions from the beginning to the very end. She's a great manipulator of feelings.
Furthermore, I loved that Kacey has her own problems. It made the story more interesting. The fact that her family abandoned her when she was 17 years old made me loved her more. Jonah? I don't know! It's so hard to mention his name without shedding a tear. Jonah, he wanted to leave a legacy before he went. That's the only thing that keeps him going until Kacey. The depth of his love for Kacey made me wept hard! That wasn't suppose to happen at all. Emma Scott, you're so cruel!
“Being loved by you, Jonah…it’s the greatest honor of my life.”
There's something in the end that I didn't like a bit. That led to a decision that I would not read book 2. I'm going to stick with Jonah. I don't want to corrupt their love story. I won't forget Jonah!
Overall, I extremely loved this book! This was already marked straight to my "cant-live-without" shelf. If you haven't already read any of her books, I highly recommend this!
"She was so much. I could spend a thousand full lifetimes and never reach the end of her. She is a universe…"
Among the books I've read from Emma Scott, so far, this is the most heartbreaking. There5+ POETIC Stars!
... A gripping story about two lost souls.
Among the books I've read from Emma Scott, so far, this is the most heartbreaking. There is nothing more painful than to watch a love one slowly falling in love with someone.
Note: This is a love triangle romance.
“Maybe pain exists to make us appreciate the beauty,”
The ending tore me to pieces! Really. What just happened? Masterpiece. This book was simply a masterpiece! Angsty, depressing, exciting, and — beautiful. I wondered how I survived that emotional rollercoaster? I still have tears left ... to be used for book 2, I think.
The story was all about Weston, Autumn and Connor. If you wanted a lot of romance between the hero and heroine, this is not the book for you. Weston, the hero, was deserted by his father when he was young. He tried to catch that car his father drove but failed. As he grew up, he used that hate for his father in running and writing. He gotten to a prestigious school because of his extraordinary skills in essay writing. There, he met Connor. Connor, well-known and rich, saved him from bullies and helped his family from financial problems. He owed Connor's family. And him, with his whole being.
Weston and Connor were always together. They've been bestfriends. When Weston got a scholarship to Amherst University in Massachusetts, Connor enrolled as well. Connor was academically incompetent. Weston assisted him with his studies. They gave and took from each other.
... until Autumn.
Weston met Autumn first. And they both liked her. But, she adored Connor. She was intimidated by Weston.
Weston kept his feelings because he wanted his bestfriend to be happy. He didn't mind his own happiness. The fact that he vowed to never love a woman when his father left him strengthen it.
"She’s luminous, and my ugliness and my mean streak would do nothing but dim her…”
He let it all out by writing everything he felt in words ... in poetry.
"The paper due is about you, with an emphasis on how beautiful you look in every light. In sunlight, in a bar, in a dim café. The object of my devotion. I’ve only been in your presence for a handful of minutes, and the only fucking thing I want to write about is you."
Weston was the way why Connor and Autumn's relationship progressed. Some would think it was entirely his fault why they've been together. To me, his not. He has the authentic love for his bestfriend. He did what is right!
"I’m thankful for that smile of hers, even when it’s not meant for me."
Agonizing. I sympathize Weston. Being in an unrequited love, it's the most painful kind.
In short, I really loved this book! Again and again. Utterly, totally, and absolutely! Weston, Autumn, and Connor, award them an Oscar! They were exceptionally portrayed. Such a great writing! As what I expected from Emma Scott.
Overall, if you like to read a so unique love triangle romance that would leave you in tears of joy and sadness, I greatly recommend this!
"I have loved you with both Hands tied behind my back Bound with pen and ink Paper and words Sealed with someone else’s name until this moment in which I am nothing but a man who loves a woman. There is nothing left to say Except to give all of my heart For you"
I love this song, I hope you'll spare a little of your time to listen to it. This music is my representation of Weston and Autumn's relationship.
"He might be right. Maybe we did grow heart bones. But what

I'm goddamn blown away ... again!
"He might be right. Maybe we did grow heart bones. But what if the only way of knowing you grew a heart bone is by feeling the agony caused by the break?"
I've NEVER expected less from Colleen Hoover since I read Ugly Love. She's this author that will totally sweep you away. And this story? This story is absolutely at it's best that I think I've also grown a heart bone!
Overall, Colleen Hoover not only wrote an amazing romance, but also acknowledged every challenge the world is facing today. I highly recommend this!
This is a highly anticipated book of 5+++ "POPS" Stars!
... I didn't like the book I treasured it.
Note: This is a friends-to-lovers sports romance.
This is a highly anticipated book of mine. Friends-to-lovers is my top favourite trope and this was the first and prioritized book I've read in the series.
The Romantic Pact is such a heartfelt, full of adventure and emotional roller-coaster romance. I deeply loved the story, the message and the love shown was admiring. I adored a grandpa like Pops and how he helped Crew and Hazel navigate and discover where their hearts truly belongs. The concept of the story is so good and the plot is great. This book is perfect in every sense.
Hazel was a 22 year old farm girl. She was a neighbor of Pops, Crew's grandfather. Crew was the same age as Hazel and he was a football player at California. Playing football and be drafted was his greatest goal in life. Hazel and Crew's friendship started at their childhood days when Crew visited his grandfather in Munich, New York. Every summer, Hazel and Crew's friendship blossomed that they even thought of agreeing to a pact.
“Hazel Allen and Crew Smith agree to never get romantically involved ever and swear to be best friends forever.”
Hazel and Crew's life have changed when Pops passed away and they were sent to Germany together (planned by Pops) to reacquaint and repair their halted friendship.
"I came into this trip depressed, unsure, and confused. In this short time, it almost feels as though you’ve opened my eyes and shown me exactly what I’ve been missing. And what I’ve been missing . . . is you.”
I loved every words. I loved that the setting was in Germany. I loved that Hazel and Crew were oblivious to each other feelings. I loved how hot the sex scenes. I loved that there were lots of road trip. I loved the epilogue and I so much loved the letters by Pops. Overall, I loved that every part of this book perfectly and exceedingly suited my expectations.
This book deserves a chance. I absolutely recommend this to y'all! If you're looking for a great romance book to read this Christmas days, this was definitely written for you!
“You make me happy. This farm makes me happy. This life we could create—the thought of it brings me joy. I like football, always have, always will, but my love for you, for this land, for these memories, it eclipses that any day."
I never wanted anything more than I wanted the sequel! And this book?! This book is amazing! gods! And wha5+ STARS!!
... And it left me wanting, again!
I never wanted anything more than I wanted the sequel! And this book?! This book is amazing! gods! And what the hell did the author think of leaving me AGAIN like that?! I just need the sequel ... I can't wait!!
A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire is the continuation of Casteel Da'Neer and Penellaphe Balfour's (I just loved their names) romantic adventure. This book is much better than the first one, tbh I never expected it! I swore in the names of all gods, this book fucking made my week! So worthy even if I barely ate, slept or gone out. I missed the sun, but I'll definitely miss Casteel and Penellaphe. I wanted mooorrreee!! *sigh*...more

"Sometimes what’s meant to be isn’t written in the stars, instead, it’s a journey on the path less traveled without a map of guidance, without certainty."
Fanfuckingtastic! I loved this book so much! I loved the setting which is on an island. I loved every words written, so insightful and inspiring. I loved the main characters (insert Jasmine, Koti's bestfriend whom I also loved). Ian, a South-African native who has a deaf daughter whom he loved so much. He is the type of father who would sacrificed everything for his children. I adored Ian, even if he made poor choices in the story, he is such a great hero. Koti, the heroine, is a recluse who suffers anxiety disorders and endometriosis. She came from a well-known family who expects too much from her which caused her downfall. I loved their history as bestfriends and how it greatly helped the story. I also loved how they tried to suppress their feelings to each other before giving in, knowing that their summer romance is only temporary.
“I was weeks away from thirty years old and had just found my first love. And my soulmate. But not my forever.”
Overall, I absolutely enjoyed the story. I laughed, cried and swooned all throughout. Beautifully written, Someone Else's Ocean is a great read!...more
