Necesitaba leer este libro antes de que se estrenara la película y “Su sonrisa es más valiosa que un millar de sonrisas de cualquier otra persona” Necesitaba leer este libro antes de que se estrenara la película y lo conseguí, además me ha encantado completamente. La historia trata de Josh y Lucy. Ellos trabajan en la misma editorial como asistentes ejecutivos de los directores de la empresa que se fusionó, ya que dichas empresas pequeñas no estaban pasando por una buena racha económica, por eso hay dos CEOs. Por lo tanto, como venían de distintas editoriales ellos dos se odia completamente, o sea tiene el mismo puesto, uno de los dos podría quedarse sin trabajo. Bueno, no se soportan para nada, viven en una guerra diaria y todos los empleados de la empresa estan al tanto de esto. Incluso, recursos humanos ha tenido que intervenir en varias ocasiones. Además, son totalmente opuestos, mientras Lucy es amable, dulce y extrovertida, Josh es frio, introvertido y serio. Y todas estas tensiones entre ellos empiezan a subir de nivel cuando se abre una nueva vacante de coodirector, y aquí empieza otra guerra, pero con todas estas tensiones de crear un proyecto y prepararse para la entrevista, las cosas entre ellos empiezan a subir de tono y muchas más cosas empiezan a fluir. Este libro lo veía por todos lados, y tenía muy buenas opiniones, así que no quería llevar las expectativas altas porque me podría decepcionar y me sirvió muchísimo esto porque me fascinó esta historia, necesitaba algo que me hiciera reír con ganas, Josh y Lucy lo lograron. Además de que contiene el cliché «enemies to lovers» que me encanta. Adoré la dinamica entre ellos dos, los comentarios llenos de sarcasmo, las pullas que se lanzaban, las discusiones, las peleas, me divertí como nunca. Y después como todo iba cambiando cuando los sentimientos iban surgiendo de a poco, ay, mi corazón completamente enternecido, son tan lindos juntos. Muchas escenas me pusieron sentimental, la dela paintball, el virus/resfriado de Lucy, la boda del hermano de Josh, el bendito ascensor. Tantas escenas que contribuyeron a que confesaran lo que sentían. Nuevo amor literario desbloqueado, Josh, lo amo! Este hombre todo frío, pragmatico y serio al principio, pero después como un osito cariñosito. Y tan timido, que me llenaba el corazón. Ay, vivo por personajes como estos, que se muestran todo duros y en el interior son tan blanditos. Conclusión, una historia divertida, rápida de leer, ligera y fresca. Hace pasar un buen rato, ademas con un romance muy bonito y crees en el amor completamente. Adorando mucho esto. Lucy y Josh en mi corazón. PD: puede estar en mi top de este año 2021 :) ...more |

Siento que idealicé mucho la sipnosis del libro y me encontré con algo distinto. La historia trata de que Olivia Hales acaba de salir se su compromiso fallido, las cosas entre su ahora exprometido no funcionaron bien, por lo tanto, ella necesita un cambio de aires, donde pueda ser completamente independiente de la rutina que ya tenia establecida. Al encontrar trabajo en un pequeño pueblo de California se muda ahí, llega con muchas ilusiones por su nuevo comienzo, pero esto se ve arruinado por el vecino de al lado, Roman Banks, un completo imbecil y grosero (palabras de olivia). Roman Banks es un hombre bastante temperamental, un GRAN imbecil y bastante apuesto. Olivia y Roman se ven atrapados en esa calle, con sus casas una al lado de la otra, no empiezan con buen pie y se declaran la guerra, pero eso que dicen de que del odio al amor hay un paso corto lea puede ocurrir a ellos. Aunque cuando los sentimientos empiecen a surgir, los secretos que ambos guardan los pueden separar. Cuando inicié la lectura estaba emocionada, es que este libro tiene un cliché que tanto disfruto, enemies to lovers. Pero me llevé una decepcion, la primera parte del libro me entretuvo muchisimo, aunque desde la mitad hasta el final me pareció horrible, situaciones que me fueron desagradando y aburriendo totalmente. Olivia y Roman me parecieron unos protagonistas normales, tenian potencial de que me gustaran mucho pero la linea de la historia entre ellos se fue por un rumbo que bajó la puntuación. Ella estuvo bien y me agradaba, hasta que en ocasiones me parecia demasiado boba, siempre queriendo agradar a todos y no tener caracter, ya por el final de la historia me estresaba y la autora puso un drama con relación a ella que me pareció rebuscado, ni siquiera sentí nada por esa situación. Roman es otro que pensé que me encantaria, ya que me gustan los protagonistas misteriosos, pero él despues de un tiempo tenia reacciones DEMASIADO posesivas, me desagradaban completamente (Red Flag activada). Y la relación entre ellos dos me pareció plana, cuando estaban en la fase odio fue cuando más me divertí porque se lanzaban pullas, bromas y todo eso, pero cuando ya las cosas fluyeron tuve muchos momentos de aburrimiento, además de que las cosas se dierón demasiado lento, que esto es algo que me gustan con algunas historias y personajes, pero aquí ya estaba desesperada y fue un completo fracaso cuando surgió porque no sentí casi nada. Con relación a los secretos que guardaban, sobretodo Olivia, me pareció meh, es que ya este recurso me aburre. Con el de Roman empaticé un poco más, pero es que él cambió, fue para mal con su posesisividad. En conclusion, fue una historia que comenzó bien pero disminuyó totalmente lo bueno de la trama, si hubiese tenido otro rumbo me gustaria. (3,25/5☆) Y otra vez leyendo un libro de Brittainy C. Cherry, esta autora me encanta, siempre transmite tantos sentimientos con su pluma. Aunque con esta en particular no conecté tanto con los personajes, se nota la evolución que ha tenido con cada nueva historia que saca, pero este lo he sentido bastante flojo La historia trata de Ashlyn Jennings, una chica de diecinueve años que recientemente ha perdido a su hermana gemela, está bastante destrozada por esta situación. Y con esto su madre entró en una depresión y le cuesta verla, por lo tanto, a Ashlyn le toca mudarse por un tiempo a Wisconsin con su padre, el cual estuvo bastante ausente en su vida, además conocerá a la familia que él tiene. Entonces de camino a su nuevo hogar, en el tren conoce a Daniel Daniels, un chico que también está un poco roto, esto por el fallecimiento de su madre. Ellos conectan desde el principio gracias a un libro de Shakespeare que Ashlyn está leyendo, les encantan sus historias trágicas. Como Daniel tiene su faceta de musico, él la invita a un concierto que tiene su banda. Desde este concierto se empiezan a conocer un poco más y notar las heridas recientes el uno en el otro, deciden seguir hablando y por qué no, volver a verse. Todo esto se ve interrumpido cuando Ashlyn empieza el último curso en su nuevo instituto y vaya sorpresa que se llevan porque Daniel es su profesor de literatura, ahora no saben que hacer con todos sus planes futuros y con esa conexión que les ha dado un respiro luego del duelo que ambos están viviendo, porque evidentemente su amor es prohibido. Bueno, con esta historia tengo sentimientos encontrados, por una parte, me gustó y por otro lado me estresó, además de que algunas cosas me aburrieron porque ya estaba harta y hablo de las muertes, ¡dios! ¿Por qué tantas muertes? Denles un respiro a los personajes, pero bueno así es la trama y eso que yo amo el drama, pero lo sentí en exceso. Con relación a Ashlyn y Daniel me gustaron, aunque no me cautivaron como tal, estuvieron bien y ya está, me faltó conectar un poco más con sus emociones y hasta con su romance. No sentí mucha chispa con ellos, y es que a pesar de estar destrozados por lo que estaban viviendo, me costó empatizar con ellos, y no se si lo leí en un mal momento en donde necesitaba otro tipo de historia, pero siento que me faltó más de todo con ellos. Siento que fue una especie de instalove lo que ocurrió entre ellos y esto no me desagradó, pero no pude disfrutar como tal la conexión y los momentos entre ellos. Como ambos aman a Shakespeare, esto es algo que los unió bastante, incluso la banda de la que Daniel hace parte, las canciones están basadas en los libros de este autor, fue algo que me pareció bastante original. Es un libro que trata sobre diversos temas, desde la perdida de un ser querido y como sobrellevarlo, los problemas familiares, sobre como encontrarse a uno mismo, de compartir con esas personas que sacan lo mejor de ti. Esto es algo que siempre me gusta de esta autora, que sus historias siempre están encaminadas con temas que hacen reflexionar. Me gustó muchísimo la relación de amistad que tuvo Ashlyn con Hailey y Ryan (amé su personalidad muchísimo), como ellos la incluyen en sus vidas y se dan ese apoyo mutuo que tanto necesitaban. Ya para terminar, fue un libro que estuvo bien, aunque no me haya transmitido tantas emociones, si puedo decir que tuvo muchos momentos que me gustaron y me emocionaron, puede que me haya faltado más chispa con Ashlyn y Daniel, pero con todo el panorama general fue una historia con sus toques bastantes agridulces que hacen sufrir y que me leí muy rápido a pesar de esperar más de la trama. ...more |

⛰️ Amé muchísimo este libro, lo sentí de una manera tan mágica. ⛰️ Violet y Levi se llevaron una parte de mi corazón con su historia, estoy escribiendo esta reseña y me emociono de solo pensar en ellos. ⛰️ Con todo lo que me hizo sentir esta historia se lleva el primer puesto de mejor lectura de este año (2021), es increíble. Y no sólo del año, de la vida. Indescriptible la sensación que me dejó. Te espero en el fin del mundo trata de sueños, de perderse y encontrarse, de luchar con uñas y dientes por lo que deseas, de amor, y no sólo el romántico, el propio, el de la amistad. Violet que deseaba volar, lejos de las montañas de Montana y Levi, él deseaba echar sus raíces entre ellas. Dos personas completamente distintas, pero con una conexión única. Él el chico de las preguntas y Ella que tenía todas las respuestas. Veremos su crecimiento a lo largo de 20 años. ⛰️ Es difícil plasmar con palabras lo que me trasmitió este libro, es que me llegó totalmente al corazón y con unos personajes que los sentí tan reales. He amado con todo mi ser esta historia y cuando la escogi como mi nueva lectura no sabía lo importante que se iba a volver, pero ahora tiene un GRAN lugar en mis favoritos. ⛰️ Mi amada y preciosa Violet, desde el primer momento que apareció a sus ocho años, sabia que se iba a convertir en un personaje que destaca. No tuvo una niñez fácil, su padre era alcohólico y prácticamente ella era la que lo cuidaba, desde niña se le veía esas ansias de avanzar y no quedarse en esa vida que le tocó. Tenía tantos sueños y una fortaleza increíble, no tenía mucho en lo material, pero su anhelo tan grande de ser más que las cosas que le sucedían, en eso radicaba su fuerza. Ella que no tenía totalmente claro que queria ser, era tan versátil que intentaba de todo, lo que si tenía claro era que quería volar alto, luchó y protegió esos sueños hasta alcanzarlos. La amo completamente, en muchos momentos queria entrar al libro y abrazarla fuertemente. Una parte gigante de ella ha quedado dentro de mí, es ahora y estoy escribiendo y me causa emoción, tengo los ojos húmedos. ⛰️ Levi, un chico que le gustaba lo cómodo, lo cotidiano, asentar raices. Él tenía claro que se iba a hacer cargo de la compañia de su padre, quería pasar su vida en el pueblo donde creció, entre esas montañas ser feliz. Totalmente distinto a Vi, él no era un soñador, se conformaba con lo que tenía y eso lo hacía sentir bien. Él me gustó mucho, también tuvo una gran evolución, al principio no se conocia a si mismo, no sabia cuales eran sus anhelos para alcanzarlos, sino que está detras de sueños de alguien más, le faltaba conocerse mucho más y darse cuenta de lo que verdaderamente queria. Y si, fue creciendo y aprendiendo mucho más de él, aprendiendo cosas sin Violet. Que siempre estaban juntos pero no podían vivir la vida del otro, y es algo que se evidencia a medida que se avanza en la lectura, el crecimiento individual de cada uno. “Hay relaciones que deben congelarse en el tiempo para que puedan llegar a ser. Que no todo es blanco y negro, y que los sueños propios son tan importantes como la mejor de las historias de amor” ⛰️ El romance entre ellos fue muy lindo y totalmente sano, ellos se conocieron desde niños y al principio fue una amistad que a medida que pasaban los años los sentimientos iban creciendo mucho más. ⛰️ Violet y Levi, tan distintos pero crearon un espacio en el que solo entraban ellos dos, donde compartieron muchos momentos, pero que excluía al resto del mundo y que tarde o temprano les pasaría factura. Levi siempre había tenido claro que Vi quería volar e irse del pueblo, y que él se quedaria y nunca lo cortó las alas, pero a medida que ese día estaba más cerca se fueron alejando mucho más. ⛰️ Hay separación, nuevas vidas, nuevos amores. Pero ellos siempre se tenían presente el uno del otro. Lo de ellos es un amor de los que marcan toda una vida, los he amado con todo mi corazón. Además, hay personajes secundarios que también son parte necesaria dentro de la historia. ⛰️ Este es mi primer libro de la autora y claramente no será el último, se convirtió en uno de mis favoritos de la vida. ⛰️ La autora escribe de una manera tan bonita, es que hacen que las palabras traspasen el libro, se conviertan en emociones que llegan al corazón. Obviamente lloré a mares en muchos momentos, tantos sentimientos por estos personajes y por su historia en general. ⛰️ Y claro que aquí el romance juega un papel importante, pero esta historia te deja un mensaje fundamental : Lucha y protege tus sueños, no dejes que el amor se interponga entre ellos. ⛰️ Violet y Levi, personajes súper entrañables para mí, y sé que una parte de ellos caminará conmigo por muchísimo tiempo. ⛰️ Recomiendo totalmente este libro, personaje reales, con una evolución fascinante, de perderse y encontrarse, de sueños, de amistad, de amor, el ser completos cada uno y luego de eso unirse con todas sus partes. ⛰️ Una historia que se siente intensamente. ⛰️ Una palabra VÉRTIGO ...more |

La vida y el amor justo ahí en carne y hueso” [3,5/5☆] Lucian es el primer libro de la serie Filthy Marcellos de Bethany-Kris y nos cuenta la historia entre Jordyn y Lucian. Con trama de Romance-mafia, que ahora estoy leyendo muchísimos libros de este tipo y no puedo detenerme, quiero mucho más. Lucian Marcello es el hijo mayor del jefe de la Cosa Nostra(una organización criminal). Él sería el segundo al mando de la familia Marcello, aunque tiene un pasado con heridas que lo pueden estar atormentando. Jordyn Reese es una chica con una vida bastante difícil, cuando murió su madre quedó a merced de un peligroso grupo de moteros, ya que esta estuvo involucrada en problema de drogas con esta gente, desde que tenía 16 años su vida ha estado dominada por estos hombres, además de trabajar para ellos para ganarse un sustento y con todos estos problemas lo ultimo que necesita es que otro hombre peligroso ponga sus ojos en ella, sobre todo un mafioso. Desde el momento en que Lucian la vio no pudo alejar su mirada de ella, entonces cuando ella pasa por una situación bastante dura, él la ayudará y veremos como fluyen los sentimientos entre ellos, aunque claramente las cosas no van a ser fácil, sobre todo porque ella pertenece al MC. Primera vez que leo algo de la autora y me gustó su escritura, ahora como estoy en modo libros de romance-mafia, este ya lo venia queriendo leer desde hace tiempo y también para conocer como escribe la autora y si me gustó, no es nada del otro mundo, pero fue bastante entretenido. Cuando Lucian y Jordyn se conocieron fue básicamente un instalove, claramente se nota, aunque grata sorpresa que no me desagradó, la verdad es que no le di mucha importancia y pude gozar de la lectura. Ellos me gustaron, fueron protagonistas que pude disfrutar con su historia y emocionarme, su relación fue bonita por el apoyo que se tenían, obviamente que eran posesivos (cof cof es un libro de mafia) pero no en exceso, la verdad es que se tenían mucho respeto y sabían aclarar las cosas cuando se equivocaban, esto es algo que me fascinó de su relación romántica. Jordyn me encantó como protagonista, es que a pesar de todo por lo que había tenido que pasar era tan fuerte, divertida, se daba el lugar que se merece, no se dejaba rebajar por nadie, me emocioné mucho con ella y la adoré. Lucian estuvo bien, no me desagradó, en muchas ocasiones era tierno y claramente cuando ama lo entrega todo. Él no es que me enamorara, pero tenia sus cosas positivas y lo pude disfrutar. Otro punto que me gustó fue la unión familiar, es que la familia Marcello se apoyan mutuamente, son tan unidos que es muy bonito de leer esa dinámica familiar, me agradaron muchísimo todos y queriendo conocer más de ellos. La madre de Lucian, Cecelia, la adoré, es que esta mujer era la jefa de esta familia, pude disfrutar todos sus momentos de regañona y me divertí bastante. Además de observar el amor entre Antony y Cecelia, se les veía una fuerte unión, todo fue muy lindo (quiero leer su libro propio). Y deseando conocer más de los otros hermanos, de Gio y Dante, que los libros siguientes son de sus historias. En conclusión, me pareció una historia entretenida, se pasa un buen rato leyendo y lo devoras en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, eso sí, me faltó más acción, a la autora le faltó desarrollar más drama en el conflicto y no arreglarlo tan rápido, aun así, fue una lectura buena, mucho mejor que las ultimas que había tenido. “Somos únicos para nosotros, Lucian. [2,75/5☆] Elena Abelli, princesa de la mafia, cometió un error y lo está pagando con culpa, además de su reputación. Por este motivo Adriana, su hermana menor, es prometida a Nico Russo, porque lo correcto en este mundillo de la mafia es que la mayor sea la primera en casarse, pero el patriarca Abelli no le perdona a su hija lo que hizo en el pasado. Desde el primer momento que Elena ve a Nico Russo a los ojos sabe que este tipo trae problemas y no es que no sepa en que mundo está rodeada, sino que este hombre le pone demasiado alerta y en tensión, además de que ninguno de los dos puede mantener sus ojos alejados del otro y no está bien porque se supone que él se casará con su hermana. Este libro pensé que me iba a gustar mucho más, no tenía expectativas, pero aun así me decepcionó un poco, siento que le faltó un mejor desarrollo de la historia. Y no es que me aburriera porque me lo terminé en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, solo que los personajes no me transmitieron tanto. Elena Abelli, es una chica bastante divertida, con su toque de inocencia, pero también de insolencia. Ella no me cayó mal, disfruté momentos de ella, la verdad es que fue adorable, y no me aburrió, aunque no es que haya conectado como tal con ella, me pareció una protagonista bien, normal, no me cautivó, pero me entretuvo con sus cosas. Eso sí, en algunos momentos me estresó bastante porque a veces hacia cosas que me hacían rodar los ojos o quería hacerla reaccionar en situaciones que era exasperante. Con Nico Russo, no sé que pensar, siento que no lo llegué a conocer como tal, era protector (como la mayoría de estos hombres de la mafia), tenia su aura de tipo malo y sexy, sinceramente no es que me hiciera suspirar, pero tuvo sus momentos en que disfruté con él. En cuanto a la relación de Elena y Nico, desde el principio se nota que es prohibido porque se atraen, pero él está comprometido con la hermana de ella, aunque este es un matrimonio arreglado, así que no se conocen para nada, todo era puro negocio. Aún así, Elena y Nico tenían sus momentos de tensión, es que cuando se encontraban se notaba esa atracción latente entre los dos y no es que se llevaran demasiado bien, porque siempre se estaban lazando sus comentarios de no te tolero y eso hacia que las cosas entre los dos fueran más interesantes, esto fue algo que me gustó, las cosas entre ellos fluyeron bastante lentas pero esto hizo que lo disfrutara más, es que se notaba esa tensión y quería seguir leyendo para ver en que momento explotaban las cosas. La historia es de Sofia Mione y Danilo Mancini. Sofia es la menor de los Mione, sobrina del capo de la organización de Chicago y no la elegida para casarse con Danilo, él estaba prometido a su hermana Serafina, pero cuando esta se escapa a las Vegas con el enemigo, Sofia es la única que queda para seguir con la unión de esta familia, claramente ella se siente como el premio de consolación y que nunca podrá superar a su hermana mayor, tanto con sus padres y hermano, como con Danilo, pues ella nunca fue la primera opción, pero aún así no deja de anhelar el amor de este hombre que robó su corazón desde muy joven, incluso cuando estaba prometido a su hermana. Danilo Mancini, un hombre acostumbrado a conseguir respeto y poder, arrogante por conseguir a Serafina, denominada la princesa de hielo, todo esto se ve nublado cuando ella elige al enemigo por encima de todo, esto deja en él su orgullo herido y ¿Qué saciaría esto? la sed de venganza, esto será un obstáculo en cuanto a la nueva mujer a la que fue prometido. Con todo esto podrá perder todo su nuevo comienzo por no dejar ir el pasado. Aquí estoy con otro libro de Cora Reilly, este año ha sido un no parar con sus historias, pero es que son muy entretenidas y aunque algunas me gusten mucho más que otras, es imposible no devorarlas en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, esta no fue la excepción, pero no fue tan asombrosa como muchas otras. Sinceramente tenia bastante expectativa en relación a este libro, porque la sinopsis prometía mucho, y no solo eso, sino que yo conocía la versión de Serafina y quería conocer como fue la vida de Sofia, su hermana menor, después de que ella se alejó de todos. Claramente no fue lo que esperaba. Sofia, la protagonista, sufría bastante con todo luego de que su hermana se fuera del lado de su familia, ella quedó desplazada porque su familia estaba centrada en la perdida que estaban pasando, sin percatarse que todavía quedaba ella y que no era su hermana, pero aun así era también importante, sufrió bastante con relación a esto y su autoestima poco a poco fue disminuyendo. Me dolió bastante lo que Sofia al principio tuvo que vivir, es que quedó a la sombra y no es que su familia lo hiciera con intención, pero su dolor superaba mucho más. Ella al principio la entendía, pero luego empezó esa comparación con su hermana que me estresaba, es que la paraba mencionando a cada segundo y fue algo que no me gustó. En cuanto a Danilo, lo sentí muy plano, o sea no me generó nada para ser el protagonista, con su insaciable sed de venganza no pensaba en nada más, y sí, claramente tenia que estar dolido pero la forma tan indiferente en que trataba a Sofia no me gustaba, es que ni siquiera hacia el intento y podía ser por la diferencia de edad, pero es que con ese orgullo que tenia era algo que le impedía actúa bien. La relación de Sofia y Danilo fue bastante floja, es que la primera mitad del libro fue centrándose en el pasado, el inicio fue demasiado lento para ellos, entonces después todo lo del matrimonio, su vida en pareja se sintió precipitada porque ahí es donde iban a correr a conocerse bien y donde tenían que hacer que las cosas funcionaran para las dos partes. No voy a negar que me agradó ver la vida de esposos de ellos dos, pero esto no compensa toda la primera parte que fue demasiado repetitiva y es que no dejaban de mencionar el hecho de la traición de Serafina y me hartó eso. También los sentimientos de Danilo hacia Sofia los sentí demasiados fríos, y no es que no fuera cariñoso con ella, sino que casi no me lo creí. Un punto que me gustó bastante del libro fue la relación de amistad/primas de Sofia y Anna, esa complicidad que se tenían, la confianza, el amor, esa protección de la una hacia la otra fue muy lindo de leer, además de que ansío conocer más a Anna en su propia historia, me agradó muchísimo su personalidad. En conclusión, esperaba mucho más de esta historia, le veía mucho más potencial y no es que la autora lo escribiera mal o algo, sino que pudo quitarle algunas partes e introducir otras, pero esto es solo mi opinión y está bien si a otras personas les gustó, además, no voy a negar que estuvo bastante entretenido y que me lo terminé en menos de un día, así que no es que me aburriera solo que me faltó sentir más emociones en cuanto al desarrollo de la historia de Sofia y Danilo. ...more |

Adam Connor es un actor de Hollywood, bastante reconocido, ahora está recién divorciado y con un hijo de cinco años a cargo, que se mudó a la casa de al lado de los Thorn. Entonces cuando Lucy se entera que vive al lado de ni más ni menos que el magnífico y sexy Adam Connor, no duda en espiarlo, a pesar de lo que separa las casas es una pared, ella es bastante audaz para observarlo con la escalera. Llega un momento en que el pequeño hijo de Adam, se mete a la piscina sin supervisión y se está ahogando, y ¿quién está observando? Pues, Lucy, entonces ella no duda en rescatarlo, pero vaya sorpresa se lleva cuando este hombre en vez de darle las gracias, llama a los policías y hacen que se la lleven a la comisaria, esto porque piensa que es una acosadora y entró a su casa sin permiso, Lucy queda indignada luego de esta situación y le declara la guerra, pero obviamente de esos enfrentamientos puede surgir algo más. ¡Ay! Este libro me ha encantado completamente, lo que me he divertido y reído a carcajadas con esta historia, es que me lo he devorado, no podía parar de leer, quería seguir y seguir, dejando atrás mis obligaciones. “La mano extendida en mi espalda era tan cómoda como la que sostenía la mía. Me ataba al mundo. O tal vez solo a él. Era tan fácil para mi corazón. Y todo era tan aterrador” Lucy, la protagonista, ella tiene veintitrés años y no está pasando por su mejor etapa en cuanto a su vida, en lo amoroso está muy mal, la carrera que estudió no es lo que quiere hacer, está prácticamente sin casa, cobijada por sus amigos. Y cuando llega a su vida Adam Connor se le añade otro desastre, él todo sexy es una tentación para ella en la que no quiere caer, ya que ella ahora es #AntiAdamConnor porque la envió a la cárcel, pero ella tiene ojos, y ese cuerpo de él tan candente no la pensar en nada más. Yo si me he divertido con Lucy, desde que salió en Amar a Jason Thorn (libro totalmente independiente de este, aunque pues, evidentemente guarda relación), como personaje secundario, tiene una personalidad tan única, espontánea, no le interesa lo que piensen los demás de ella, una chica ruda, es que la AMO, se ha robado mi corazón completamente, es que es muy graciosa, con los comentarios que dice me salían carcajadas, la adoro con todo mi corazón. Adam Connor, el protagonista, tiene veintiocho años, recién divorciado y con una vida bastante caótica, los paparazzi no le dejan ni un respiro, aunque él es bastante tranquilo y su mundo, además de la actuación, es su pequeño hijo Aiden, el que ama con todo su corazón, la cosa es que no pasa tanto tiempo con él como lo desea, porque se tiene que turnar con la madre del niño para tenerlo. Este hombre es lo que está bien en la vida, es que me ha enamorado completamente, yo creía que Jason Thorn me encantaba, pero llegó Adam Connor y arrasó, es que andaba suspirando cada vez que este hombre aparecía, y no solo eso, sino que Aiden también robó mi corazón, ese niño es un amor, demasiado adorable. “Ella era tan única como podría ser, y con cada día que pasaba, con cada sonrisa y risa descarada, cada sonrisa de autosuficiencia y cada ceño en mi dirección, estaba empezando a gustarme cada día más” La relación de Lucy y Adam es un completo enemies to lovers, es que o sea cada vez que se veían se lanzaban pullas, y eso comentarios tan sarcásticos, es que lo que me reía con este par, es ahora que estoy escribiendo y tengo una sonrisa en mi rostro de solo recordarlos. He amado completamente su relación, es que todo se fue dando de una forma tan lenta y es algo que me gusta mucho, aunque sin excederse, o sea, también necesito que pasen muchas más cosas antes de los sentimientos y este libro lo tuvo. Desde el principio que se declararon la guerra había una tensión latente entre ellos dos, y luego van teniendo esos acercamientos y AMOO, aunque Lucy siempre ponía barrera entre ellos, ya sea por la maldición que dice tener y por no enamorarse, eso hacia que las cosas fueran a mejor, porque estaba expectante a que sucedería entre ellos y cuando llegó el momento, oh madre de dios! Casi me muero, felicidad extrema. Ah y otra cosa, la interacción entre Aiden y Lucy es demasiado linda, ese niño la ama y viceversa, esa relación que ellos también crearon es adorable. Que mas puedo decir, que disfruté a más no poder esta historia, muy entretenida y los personajes enamoran completamente, a Lucy la amo demasiado, Adam me enamoró a más no poder y Aiden es un pequeñín tan precioso. Además de que aquí también salían Jason y Olive, y amé leerlos nuevamente, aunque esta vez fueran personajes secundarios. Estos personajes se adentraron en mi corazoncito con sus historias, completamente cautivada por ellos. Oh, y la amistad de Lucy y Olive es todo lo que está bien, siempre están apoyándose la una en la otra, es que se complementan, mientras que Lucy es más impulsiva, Olive es un poquitín más cuerda, tienen tantos momentos tan graciosos, es que las amo a las dos completamente, lo que me reí con sus ocurrencias, se nota un lazo de amistad fuertísimo entre ellas, las adoro. Y esa referencia a Grey´s Anatomy me fascinó. “-Sabes que estoy contigo, eres mi persona, ¿verdad? - ¿Grey´s Anatomy? ¿Cómo Cristina y Meredith? -Sí -Si, tú también eres mi persona, mi Olive Green” Recomiendo muchísimo la historia si quieres pasar un buen rato y reír, la verdad es que entretiene bastante, además de que la pluma de autora es un plus, escribe muy bien. Ella siempre ha estado enamorada de él, desde que lo conoció a la edad de siete años, y él tenia once, Jason es el mejor amigo de su hermano, y Olive está flechada por él, desde que lo vio por primera vez quedó deslumbrada con su encanto, fueron pasando los años y ella seguía con su enamoramiento, aunque él la veía como una amiga y siempre era amable con ella, incluso la protegía de los berrinches de su hermano. Pero llega un momento en el que él “rompe su corazón” y esto hace que ella se aleje y quede decepcionada, luego en la familia de Jason le ocurre una tragedia que hace que Jason se mude a otra ciudad, lejos de ella. Jason pierde conexión con toda la familia de Olive y luego de ocho años se vuelven a rencontrar, esto porque la novela escrita por Olive va a ser adaptada a la pantalla grande y Jason es el actor elegido para ser el protagonista, a partir de ese momento cosas empiezan a suceder entre ellos, él quiere seguir manteniendo el contacto y ella alejarse lo más que pueda de él, pero les tocará pasar mucho tiempo juntos. Me gustó bastante el libro y me divertí muchísimo. Olive y Jason me gustaron también. Bastante adictivo todo, no me ha durado casi nada. La relación entre Jason y Olive me ha gustado, fue un friends to lovers, el mejor amigo del hermano y con una especie de “relación falsa”, la verdad es que me entretuvo bastante. Las ocurrencias de Olive y su personalidad me agradaron muchísimo, ella es como algo tímida. Jason con su mundo de la fama no le ha tocado fácil, ha salido en varios escándalos con sus “conquistas”, y si, se siente perdido, pero cuando se encuentra con Olive ya no quiere soltarla más, a pesar de que ella está reacia a pasar tiempo con él, pero ajá, se van acercando y conociéndose mucho más. Él me encantó, caí por él. Un personaje secundario que tengo que resaltar es Lucy, la mejor amiga de Olive, ay, yo a ella la amé demasiado, es que cuando aparecía en escena acaparaba toda mi atención, tiene una personalidad tan única, tan divertida, espontanea, me he reído muchísimo con los comentarios que hacía, no fue su historia, pero me llamó completamente la atención, y quiero conocer más sobre ella. En cuanto a la trama, pues estuvo bien, muy entretenido todo y las risas no faltan. Me leí el libro muy rápido, es que no podía soltarlo, es el primer libro que leo de esta autora, y me gustó su pluma, no será el ultimo libro que lea de ella. Además de que tiene escenas bastante hot (+18), estuvieron bastante bien. No tiene todas las estrellas completas quizás porque la ultima parte la sentí muy precipitada, o sea todo se arregló muy rápido, aunque igual me gustó el final. - “Me robaste el corazón con solo un hoyuelo, pequeño ladronzuelo. Desde entonces él ya no se reconoce a sí mismo, está atrapado en un profundo dolor y no quiere salir de ahí, por eso para amortiguar esas heridas se refugia en el alcohol, aunque esto cada vez lo está destruyendo más y los paparazzi cada vez más influyendo en los rumores de su mal estado. Oliver está en su punto más bajo sin encontrar una salida. Emery Taylor tiene una lucha cada día, entre pagar las facturas, mantener su trabajo y brindarle a su preciosa hija una estabilidad. Cuando los paparazzi se enteran de que Oliver Smith se encuentra en ese bar no lo dejan en paz, y es aquí en donde Emery lo ayuda a alejarlo de toda esa multitud. Dos personas viviendo situaciones completamente distintas, pero los une un profundo dolor. Aunque, encontrarán consuelo en el otro, y para que su amor funcione deberán sanar. “Pedir ayuda no te convierte en un fracasado” ¡Me ha gustado mucho! Esta autora no defrauda, transmite tantos sentimientos en las páginas de un libro que es muy hermoso, leyendo la historia tenia las emociones a flor de piel. Emery, la protagonista, es una guerrera, tan optimista, tan fuerte, no deja de tener esperanza a pesar de que a veces las situaciones la sobrepasan. Me ha encantado y he conectado muchísimo con ella. Emery es una gran madre, que lucha con todo lo que puede para mantener un techo y darle a su hija una mejor vida. Reese, su pequeña hija es tan adorable, esta niña se ganó completamente mi corazón, es que sus ocurrencias, el decir las cosas sin filtro, con una sinceridad tan bonita, la he amado mucho. Oliver, el protagonista, vivía en un dolor profundo, es que podía sentir sus emociones, dolía completamente. El perder a su mitad, uff, que triste. Con esto él se sentía muy solo y su vida con la fama es bastante tormentosa, es que las personas pueden ser demasiado crueles, los comentarios que le hacían, como: “Debiste morir tú en vez de tú hermano, él era el mejor”, entonces Oliver sentía muchísima culpa por el accidente, y o sea un auto se cruzó en su camino y los golpeó muy fuerte, y el que no pudo sobrevivir fue su hermano, es que había unos “fans” demasiados crueles. Él es bastante tímido, le costaba socializar con las demás personas las cuales no tenía confianza y cuando estaba en estas situaciones se aislaba en sus pensamientos. También conecté con él, pude sentir su dolor, y me gustó mucho como protagonista, es que era un amor. “Me encontraste cuando mis latidos apenas estaban allí, y los hiciste de nuevo. Hiciste latir mi corazón, y por eso sigue latiendo” En cuanto a la relación de Emery y Oliver la pude disfrutar, su primer encuentro fue muy divertido, es que él completamente borracho y ella tratando de ayudarlo, todo fue muy gracioso. Y pude sentir que desde el principio hubo como una conexión, una chispa entre ellos. Y todo fluyó entre ellos de a poco, no lo vi forzado por ningún lado, fueron haciendo su lazo cada vez más fuerte. Desde ir sintiendo atracción el uno por el otro, hasta profundizar más los sentimientos. Es que sus vidas se toparon en una situación en el que se necesitaban, y se dieron consuelo mutuamente. Todo fue muy creíble. Oliver y Reese eran muy lindo juntos, los encuentros entre ellos, las bromas que se hacían, todo era muy adorable, es que esta niña era asombrosa, un amor. “El amor verdadero es incondicional. No estableces pautas sobre como tienes que actuar para ser amado” Los personajes secundarios también aportan en el desarrollo de la historia, Abigail la vecina de Emery que es terapeuta ayudó muchísimo, ella me gustó. Los padres de Oliver eran un amor, y su relación muy hermosa. Cam, la exnovia de Oliver era mala! Uish, me cayó demasiado mal y lo trataba muy mal, ni siquiera le importaba, solo era para tener más popularidad. Otros personajes que odié fueron a los padres de Emery, eran muy desagradables y la trataban como si fuera basura. Kelly y Tyler, eran la asistente y el manager de Oliver, ellos me agradaron también. Otro punto que me gustó mucho de esta historia eran las canciones que se mencionaban, es que los protagonistas tenían como unas listas de reproducción con su música favorita y cada día se iban enviando canciones para momentos específicos, por ejemplo: si tuviste un gran día recomendaban una canción, si te sientes solo escucha esta y así. Me agradó que la autora incluyera esto, es que yo sentía que me la estaban recomendando y cuando las mencionaban enseguida las iba escuchando. Es que María Martínez crea historias que se sienten y llegan al corazón, esta no fue la excepción. Cuando no queden más estrellas que contar nos narra la vida de Maya, que desde muy pequeña ha vivido su vida por el ballet, todo esto guiado por su abuela que no es que sea un verdadero apoyo. Ella trabaja como solista en la Compañía Nacional de Danza y es una excelente bailarina, que incluso los ballets más prestigiosos han puesto sus ojos en ellas. Pero todo esto se ve empañado cuando un grave accidente le causa una lesión fatal, la cual le impide volver a bailar como profesional, Maya queda tan perdida porque el único mundo que conoce se ha derrumbado. Con todo esto su abuela la culpa y la ausencia de su madre pesa más que nunca, Maya no sabe que hacer con su vida de ahí en adelante, pero encuentra algo que lo cambiará todo y le ayudará a emprender un viaje en donde descubrirá una verdad escondida en una caja de música, además de conocerse a si misma y seguir lo que verdaderamente late en su interior. Que historia tan bonita y llena de sentimientos, esta autora hace magia con lo que escribe, enamorada completamente de su pluma. Un libro que hace soñar, sonreír, emocionarte, sufrir y viajar, esas descripciones preciosas que llegan al corazón, y se comprueba con las miles de frases que marqué, que hacen reflexionar. Maya me ha encantado, al principio tan perdida, si conocerse verdaderamente, viviendo la vida que otros querían para ella, tratando de cumplir expectativas y no siguiendo lo que su interior le decía. Que evolución ha tenido, uff, tantas emociones me dan al recordar todo su proceso, es increíble. Lloré, me reí, sufrí y conecté tanto con ella que es un personaje tan entrañable para mí, que si pudiera la sacaba del libro y la abrazaría fuertemente. Y se que ella se quedará por un largo tiempo en mi corazón, la adoro muchísimo, ha pasado por tanto a lo largo de su vida que se merece todo lo bueno de la vida. Lucas, ay, también lo adoro. Tan imperfecto que lo hace tan real, como también tuvo su evolución a lo largo de la historia y a sanar todas esas heridas del pasado que no lo dejaban avanzar completamente. Este libro no solo se centra en el romance entre Maya y Lucas, que por cierto me ha encantado, todo entre ellos fluyó de una forma lenta y hermosa. Fueron personajes muy reales, con sus defectos y virtudes, con tantos errores que cometen durante su proceso, completamente enamorada de los dos. Y sí, esta historia va más allá del amor romántico, nos habla del amor propio, el conocerse a uno mismo, el amor de la familia y no solo la de sangre, esas personas que están ahí apoyándote, dándote palabras de aliento, también el luchar por tus sueños, el dejar de cumplir las expectativas que otras personas tienen en ti, el equivocarse, pero no quedarse estancando ahí, sino que buscar salidas a todas esas situaciones en las que la vida te pone a prueba. Se me llena el corazón de recordar todos los sentimientos que sentí cuando iba leyendo esta historia, me ha fascinando profundamente. La manera en la que está narra esta autora es demasiado linda, te hace participe de la historia de estos personajes tan increíbles e imperfectos. Una montaña rusa con esta historia, la ambientación, la trama, todos los personajes tan bien construidos y su viaje de autodescubrimiento tan inspirador. Y claramente tienen que leerlo, te estruja el corazón de una manera tan bonita. Se va directamente a mis mejores lecturas de este año (2021) “Porque conocerte a ti mismo puede ocuparte toda la vida. El amor no se gana, se da” ☀️Serie: Twisted (Book-1) ~ Ava & Alex ~ (2,75/5 ☆) El libro básicamente trata de Ava Cheng, la cual su vida está cargada de muchas pesadillas, esto por traumas de la infancia, aunque ella no logra recordar. Y está Alex Volkov, el mejor amigo del hermano, este hombre es un adonis, bastante inteligente y con su aura misteriosa, aunque con un pasado maldecido del cual no ha logrado escapar. Ellos dos tendrán que pasar tiempo juntos porque el hermano de Ava se va de viaje por un tiempo y para que ella no quede sola le pide ayuda a su mejor amiga de que esté pendiente de ella. Bueno pues, ¿qué ocurre en estos casos? Aparece la atracción y poco a poco con los acercamientos que van teniendo los sentimientos empiezan a crecer cada vez más, pero sus pasados les impedirán que puedan estar juntos y deberán luchar con todas esas cosas no resueltas. ☀️ Pues, me pareció un libro entretenido y ya está. No me cautivó mucho, pero si me mantuvo leyendo. ☀️ Resaltar que no me aburrió a pesar de que los personajes no es que hayan sido relevantes para mí, estuvo bueno para pasar el rato. ☀️ En cuanto a Ava y Alex, no es que me hayan gustado, me parecieron normalitos, no me transmitieron ninguna emoción. ☀️ Ava en muchos momentos me pareció tonta, o sea tenía un gran corazón, era divertida (me reí en muchísimos momentos con sus ocurrencias), tenía un toque de picardía, pero siento que cuando llegó Alex, ella quedaba a un lado, su centro era él y eso me desagradaba. ☀️ Alex es un genio, un tipo frío y torturado por el pasado, muy inteligente, este hombre que creó su propia empresa a una edad temprana, bastante enigmático y posesivo, esto ultimo es lo no me gustó tanto, ya yo sabia a que atenerme cuando leí la sinopsis, pero es que él se pasaba completamente con el “tu eres mía y nadie te puede mirar”, esos momentos me desesperaban. ☀️ Siendo sincera disfruté cosas de Ava y Alex cuando estaban juntos, no todo fue negativo, él es el típico “todos me caen mal, pero contigo soy un pan de dulce” y si, con ella se comportaba completamente diferente con el resto y ajá, hay bastantes momentos ardientes entre ellos, que me gustaron, para que mentir. “Tú eres la luz de mi oscuridad, rayo de sol” ☀️ El trasfondo de los pasados de los protagonistas mantiene expectante, la verdad quería seguir leyendo para ver que se desataba cuando todo esto explotara en sus narices, y si fue durito, en el sentido de que los sentimientos de ambos quedaron heridos. Yo sospechaba algo con lo del pasado de Alex, no todo, pero de todas formas me dolió un poquito lo que les pasó. ☀️ Sin más que decir, una historia entretenida, con el misterio del pasado de los protagonistas, la atracción y tensión sexual que se respira entre ellos. ☀️ Primer libro que leo de la autora y su escritura me gustó, ya que me mantuvo queriendo descubrir más y más cuando avanzaba en la lectura. ☀️ Deseando continuar con los siguientes libros. “No podía creer que alguna vez lo hubiera considerado frio. Te hace sentir dolor, pero también te da coraje” (3,75/5☆) El libro trata de la princesa Ivy, ella es una descendiente directa de la reina Myriana, por lo tanto, es una Real pura (los Reales son los que tienen magia) y su beso es muy poderoso y letal para combatir a las fuerzas de la oscuridad. Ella es parte de la Legión, este es como un ejercito el cual se enfrenta a los malos para proteger sus reinos y a las personas que habitan ahí. Lo que a los Reales los hace poderosos es compartir un beso, esto les produce magia y les da como más fuerza, además de que funciona para curar maldiciones. Pero como la magia proviene de un beso siempre se necesita tener un compañero, la princesa Ivy a perdido a su quinto compañero en batalla, y como las Fuerzas de la Oscuridad están destruyendo cada vez más sus reinos, ella necesita enlazarse urgente con un nuevo compañero para aprovechar su magia poderosa. Hay un Real que tiene una destreza bastante buena con su espada, el príncipe Zach, y si se junta con la princesa Ivy esto los hará un equipo imparable para enfrentarse a la batalla. Aunque hay un problema, el príncipe Zach no comparte las mismas opiniones que ella y esto dificulta su cooperación para utilizar la magia, él dice que es muy peligrosa y ella piensa que jamás ganarían sin ella. Entonces deberán dejar a un lado todas esas diferencias para poder salvar el reino, y entre más discuten más se enamoran. Esta historia la he disfrutado bastante, desde que leí la sinopsis me pareció una idea original, o sea los besos producen magia, esto me instó a leerlo y me gustó mucho. Ivy, la protagonista, tiene 17 años, es la princesa heredera del reino, ella es la que tiene la magia más poderosa. Ella me gustó y su evolución fue fascinante. Siempre ha creído en la magia, porque desde que nació eso es lo que le han inculcado, pero cuanto más la utiliza más va conociendo de todo lo que se esconde tras de ella. Me pareció bastante fuerte, una guerrera completamente que sabía de su potencial. Zach, el protagonista, es mitad Real mitad Romántico. Él me ha encantado completamente, tenía claras sus convicciones, era divertido, algunas veces tímido. Ay, es que he disfrutado a más no poder con él, tan encantador. En cuanto al romance entre Ivy y Zach me gustó, estuvo bastante bien, la cosa entre ellos era como una especie de enemies to lovers, aunque con menos odio, solo que ellos tenían opiniones distintas y chocaban bastante con eso. Las cosas entre ellos iban fluyendo de a poco y eso es algo que yo disfruto, como los sentimientos iban creciendo a medida que pasaban más tiempo juntos. En general me pareció original bastante la idea de la trama, lo de los besos y como había distintos grupos de personas, o sea, estaban organizados por los Reales, que ellos eran los que tenían magia, y los Románticos, que eran el grupo que creía en el amor. Zoe nunca ha hablado con él, ni siquiera sabe de su existencia. La hija de cinco años de él, llamada Olivia, es bastante traviesa, no dura por mucho tiempo con sus niñeras, les hace muchas bromas y ellas no las toleran y se van, con la ultima niñera pasó igual. Entonces Seth necesita urgentemente una niñera, con su trabajo que le demanda mucho tiempo no puede estar siempre en la casa y su esposa falleció, por lo tanto, debe contratar a alguien que le cuida a su pequeña. Cuando Zoe, navegando por internet buscando trabajo, ve este anuncio, no pierde la oportunidad y solicita el puesto y obviamente es contratada. Luego de esto veremos como transcurre la historia entre Seth y Zoe, y como va fluyendo la atracción. Pues, esta es una historia bastante corta y la verdad no me emocionó mucho, fue entretenida y ya está. Se lee muy rápido y se puede pasar un buen rato, las cosas iban fluyendo y no pude parar de leer, no me duro casi nada, me lo terminé en un día. Aunque no es la gran cosa. Los personajes fueron bastante planos, Seth y Zoe me daban igual, casi no sentí esa chispa entre ellos. Zoe estaba perdidamente enamorada de este hombre y ni si quiera lo había conocido, la verdad es que hubo momentos en que ella me parecía muy boba. Seth, él no supera la muerte de la esposa y por eso es bastante solitario, el centro de su vida es su hija, además del trabajo, él me pareció simple, XD, o sea no me cautivó. Tiene sus partes sensuales, pero, reitero otra vez, todo me dio igual. La trama en general también es bastante plana, los personajes secundarios que hay, son de relleno, aparecen muy pocos, es que los protagonistas no es que tengan una interacción con muchas personas. Ella solo hablaba con su mejor amiga y eso por teléfono. Y él, con su secretario y chofer. Al ser tan corta la historia no se desarrollan mucho las cosas y eso hace que todo sea muy flojo, además de que las cosas pasan mucho más rápidas. Todos los personajes me dieron igual, hasta Olivia, la niña, y eso que me gustan cuando hay niños en las historias. En conclusión, una historia que entretiene y ya está, sirve para pasar un buen rato, los personajes no generan emociones, pero sus cosas distraen. Con toda esta situación, no aguanta más los chismes de su pueblo natal y se va a Nueva York a ver que le depara el futuro, ahí se encuentra su mejor amiga Ladasha que conoció en la universidad. Andrea llega a esta ciudad a perseguir su sueño que es bailar. Cooper Davidson es un fotógrafo reconocido, bastante famoso, estrella de televisión, que cuando se entera que su esposa le fue infiel y queda embarazada, esto le toma desprevenido y lo destroza emocionalmente, con esta situación no le queda otra para afrontar esto que ir a una clínica de salud mental, la cual necesitaba mucho, pero su vida es tan publica que los paparazzi no lo dejan en paz, además de que con todo por lo que está pasando los chismes y la cantidad de mentiras que dicen sobre él es impresionante. Cuando los caminos de estas dos personas rotas se cruzan, pueden ver a través del otro cuan dañados y tristes están, además de necesitar un escape de sus vidas, con todo esto, ellos crean un arreglo para explorar algo entre ellos, las reglas son impuestas, nada de conexiones emocionales, nunca hablar del pasado ni del futuro y cuando el otro encuentre el orden de su vida se alejará del otro. Todo claro, ¿cierto? Lastima que en este tipo de acuerdos los sentimientos son mas fuertes que las normas. “Me aferré a ella por un largo tiempo después de eso. No me importaba cuanto tiempo teníamos que estar allí; estaba preparado para abrazarla por el resto de mi vida si lo necesitaba” Esta historia tenia mucho potencial de gustarme muchísimo más, esta autora me gusta mucho, entonces pensé que este no iba a ser la excepción, aunque me equivoqué, me decepcionó este libro. Cuando inicié la historia enseguida le cogí ritmo y me estaba gustando bastante, pero a medida que avanzaba en la lectura se me hacia muy plano todo. Andrea, la protagonista, fue muy irrelevante para mí, no conecté con ella como esperaba, ciertamente su situación era muy triste y estaba pasando por un duelo, algunas acciones eran entendibles, pero tenía unos comportamientos que a veces me estresaban y la odiaba. Fue normal para mí, la verdad no me agradó mucho. Cooper, el protagonista, este hombre me ENCANTÓ, es tan hermoso, tierno, caballeroso, con un gran corazón, las situaciones en las que era tan tímido me hacían sonreír demasiado, se ganó mi corazón completamente, incluso quería que no quedara con Andrea, ella no lo merecía. “Las lágrimas significan que puedes sentir. Las lagrimas son un signo de vida. Y estoy tan feliz que estés viva, Andrea. Porque estoy casi seguro de que la mayoría de los últimos meses has estado muerta” Con respecto a la relación romántica de Andrea y Cooper, fue normalita, estuvo bien, no saltaron chispas cuando los leía juntos, Andrea era la que más me molestaba con sus comportamientos que eran bastantes groseros en ocasiones. Esperaba mucho más con la relación de ellos dos, estaba segurísima que me iba a gustar mucho pero no, y eso que ni siquiera tenía expectativas (aunque por la autora de pronto sí) Un personaje secundario que me gustó bastante, más que la protagonista, fue su mejor amiga, Ladasha, esa mujer es grandiosa, un amor, su personalidad es tan única y eso que no ha tenido una buena vida, le ha tocado duro, pero su filosofía de vida es muy determinada, me cayó muy bien desde que la conocí. Cuando iba en la recta final de la historia me gustó muchísimo menos que al principio, el rumbo que cogió la historia no me agradó, hubo un drama innecesario (y eso que lo disfruto mucho), es que solo con hablar se podían arreglar las cosas, y el final fue muy plano, esperaba muchísimo más. Se nota la evolución que ha tenido Brittainy C. Cherry en sus historias, esta es una historia bastante vieja, y con los libros que he leído de ella este es el más flojo, los otros han superado las cuatro estrellas y me han encantado mucho. Ella siempre tuvo presente que se iba a casar con Angelo Bandini, heredero de otra familia relacionada con la mafia y su amor de toda la vida, esto se ve afectado cuando su padre la entrega al senador Wolfe Keaton, esta noticia a Francesca la devasta, no quiere casarse con otro hombre que no sea Angelo, pero no tiene otra alternativa, entonces le toca aceptar su situación y enfrentarla con carácter. Este libro es un enemies to lovers (Cliché que me encanta) a más no poder, estos personajes desde el inicio se odian demasiado, y ajá, a medida que avanza la historia veremos que tal le va a este par, aunque tendrán que afrontar unos cuantos problemillas. “Quizás no necesitabas conocer a alguien para quererlo. Solo necesitabas saber que corazón tenía” Disfruté esta historia de principio a fin, es que no podía parar de leer, te engancha desde el inicio porque quieres enterarte más sobre la vida de los personajes y todo ese odio, combinado con tensión sexual es atrapante. Me ha gustado bastante, no pensé que me fuera a atrapar ni que los personajes me cayeran bien, pero lo hicieron. “Ningún amor es plenamente correspondido. Ningún amor es igual. Ningún amor es justo. Siempre hay un lado que ama más. Y será mejor que no estés de ese lado, porque sufre” Francesca, la protagonista, me cayó bien, no es que la ame ni nada de eso, pero disfruté leerla, quizás en algunos momentos me desesperaba, aunque era entendible por qué actuaba así. Es bastante inocente, típico de las mujeres de la mafia (de los libros que he leído), siempre vivieron en una burbuja y son casi santas, aunque no le vi mucho problema a esto, además, tenia sus momentos donde sacaba su carácter, eso fue los momentos que más disfruté de ella. Es una buena persona, bastante adorable, por así decirlo. Wolfe, que puedo decir de él, un completo imbécil, bastante cruel, pero ¿qué pasa siempre con estos personajes? Siempre tienen un motivo de por qué son así, y es una barrera de su verdadera forma de ser. Él me gustó también, claramente tenía sus momentos en que era DEMASIADO CRUEL, pero ajá se va entendiendo después, aunque no me gustaran muchas acciones. Es bastante frío, arrogante, bastante grosero, pero también era justo, en su cargo como senador es bastante honorable, quiere acabar con todas las organizaciones criminales y con la corrupción, además de poder llegar a la presidencia (Aspirando siempre a lo alto, XD). “Me besó en la nariz con muchísimo cuidado, luego en la frente y en los labios” Francesca y Wolfe como pareja me gustaron, no es que sea lo mejor del mundo, pero leyéndolos pasé un buen rato junto a ellos. Él con ella tenían sus momentos adorables, toda su frialdad primero y después cuando los sentimientos iban floreciendo fue dando un cambio en su personalidad con relación a ella, le ofreció la libertad que ella no pudo tener en la casa de sus padres. Francesca, llegó a la vida de este hombre para romper esas barreras de acero puestas, para ir adentrándose de a poco en su vida tan solitaria. Sweet Temptation es un libro independiente, aunque se encuentra relacionado c “Solo tú me haces sentir mejor al insultarme con una simple mirada” Sweet Temptation es un libro independiente, aunque se encuentra relacionado con todo este mundo de la mafia de la autora. Giulia y Cassio son los protagonistas, ellos aparecen por primera vez en el segundo libro de la serie de la Camorra, ahí aparecen ya con varios años de casados, pero no se les da mucha relevancia. Giulia es prima del capo de la mafia de Nueva York, Luca, y Cassio es el lugarteniente de Filadelfia. Cassio acaba de perder a su esposa y se ha quedado con dos niños pequeños a los que debe cuidar. Como lugarteniente necesita una nueva esposa, no solo para su compañía sino también para que le ayude con el cuidado de sus hijos, ya que su trabajo le absorbe mucho tiempo. Giulia es una chica bastante joven, acabó de cumplir la mayoría de edad, esto quiere decir que está en edad de casarse para el mundo de la mafia y como el joven al que estaba prometida falleció, los padres de ella ven una oportunidad de que se pueda comprometer con Cassio. Entonces Giulia no le queda otra alternativa que aceptar y casarse con un hombre mucho mayor que ella (exactamente 13 años), además de que él tiene fama de ser muy cruel y no solo eso, sino que debe cuidar a dos niños pequeños, una experiencia nueva para ella. Cassio no está muy de acuerdo en casarse con ella, esto por su diferencia de edad y porque siente que todavía está muy chica para una responsabilidad tan grande, pero no tiene otra opción y debe aceptarla, aunque su matrimonio haya sido por conveniencia, al convivir pueden ir apareciendo los sentimientos. Este libro es mi favorito de todos los que he leído de esta autora, me ha encantado muchísimo, Giulia y Cassio me han fascinado, esta es la relación más dulce que he leído de esta serie de libros. Giulia, la protagonista, me ha gustado muchísimo, ella me ha parecido tan fuerte, valiente, y con un carácter propio. Ella es la protagonista que más me ha gustado de los libros que he leído de esta autora, a pesar de al principio ser tan joven, afrontaba todo con una madurez impresionante y se propone convertir a esa familia desconocida que está muy rota en un hogar feliz. Ella tiene sus convicciones claras, decía las cosas que le molestaban directamente y sin rodeos, su humor es otro punto bastante especial de ella, siempre les sacaba su cosa graciosa a las cosas, es que he amado completamente a esta mujer. “Solo porque ahora soy tu esposa no significa que todavía no siga siendo yo. No me convertiré en otra persona solo porque no te gusta quien soy. Elegiste casarte conmigo. No puedes moldearme en la esposa que quieres. No puedes controlar todo, incluso si crees que tienes que hacerlo” Cassio, el protagonista, es un hombre que se muestra frio y duro (como todos los de la mafia), ama con todo su corazón a sus hijos, son la luz de su mundo, aunque Daniele, su hijo de 2 años sienta rechazo hacia él desde la muerte de su esposa, esto es algo que le cuesta un poco. Simona, su hija de 4 meses, se da únicamente con él, le cuesta aceptar a otras personas porque llora. Cuando Giulia llega a su vida, él la ve como un encarte, una “jovencita” sin experiencia, no quiere nada de ella, ni siquiera su amor. Cassio lleva consigo un secreto que lo atormenta y esto hace que centre su atención en su trabajo, con esto deja de lado su hogar, pero poco a poco Giulia va traspasando esas barreras que él ha impuesto y van fluyendo esos sentimientos. En cuanto a la relación de Giulia y Cassio, me ha fascinado, sus sentimientos fueron apareciendo de a poco, sobre todo por parte de Cassio, que estaba más reacio a aceptarla en su vida, pero la fuerza y la valentía de Giulia se lo impidieron, ella llegó a ese hogar para llenar sus vidas de mucha alegría. Siento que esta es la relación romántica más tierna de esta serie de libros (los que he leído), a pesar de esa diferencia de edad se entendían completamente, como Giulia le sacaba sonrisas a Cassio con su juventud, y con su esencia, esta mujer ella era misma sin importarle lo que pensaran los demás, usaba sus vestidos de girasoles con una seguridad, sus sombreros todos floridos, esto es algo que a Cassio le costaba de ella, pero después entendió que así era ella y que la amaba con todas sus cosas tan extrovertidas. Otro punto que me gustó es como los niños van a aceptando a Giulia en sus vidas, esto también es algo muy lindo de leer, como ella los llenaba de alegría, sobre todo a Daniele, que lo ayudó muchísimo a abrirse un poco más, ya que desde la muerte de su madre vivía en una tristeza inmensa y no hablaba. Loulou, la mascota de ellos, también es importante en este hogar y esta perrita ayudó mucho a Daniele. Lo acabo de terminar y es ahora y quiero volver a releerlo, enserio se han adentrado en mi corazón. Siempre me mantuvo queriendo seguir leyendo, es que me lo terminé como en menos de un día, no me pude separar de él y tuve que dejar mis obligaciones de lado, es que este libro se merecía toda mi atención. Giulia sin duda es la que más se queda conmigo, el personaje estrella para mí de esta historia, amé completamente todo de ella, lucha con uñas y dientes por los que ama, los protege como una leona, y a veces esa insolencia que la caracteriza en muchos momentos me sacaba una sonrisa, además que se hizo respetar y que no iba a cambiar su esencia por nadie, un personaje bastante entrañable para mí. En conclusión, siento tanto cariño por estos personajes, se adentraron en mi corazón, su crecimiento personal, esa evolución que tuvieron todos juntos, el amor entre Cassio y Giulia que se fue fortaleciendo, la familia tan hermosa que formaron, siempre por encima de todo el amor que se tenían.
