I really wanted to like this after I loved Golden so much. Jessi Kirby has a talent for writing cute, bittersweet romances, but I think this one is just a little too cheesy for me.
I couldn't get past my disdain for the premise: a girl's boyfriend dies and donates his organs, so she tracks down the recipient of his heart and - would you believe - he's a hot surfer dude with pretty eyes. Still, Kirby's writing is lovely as usual, so I'm sure many others will enjoy Things We Know by Heart.

Yeah, I'm kind of avoiding this one so far because I can't stop think about how this premise is so... Odd. But I never read anything by Kirby before and I'm eager to try one of her books.
Yeah, as much as I loved Golden too I was really skeptical about the premise. Glad I skipped this one.
What the...? That premise sounds as something I may not like. Thanks for at least posting a review, even if you didn't finish the book.
Yeah, this reminds me of that Will Smith movie Seven Pounds. Which I also found cheesy. (And kind of unsettling?)
Someone who has not experienced organ donation might find the premise odd. I cried in the middle of a book store in O'Hare airport reading the synopsis because it hit home for me. My best friend went through something similar when she lost her best friend and his organs were donated.
I rlly loved this book. Or maybe I've needing a love book for a long time. But for me this was amazing.
