I absolutely loved this book!! I loved Caesar. I loved his voice and his attitude. The "badass" gay Italian (who currently lives with his Nana) gets himself stuck right in the middle of the chaos; always seconds away from a total freak out. Then enters Dan. At 1st I thought he was going to be a huge asshole, but turns out I was way off. He was funny and a little goofy and reckless for a PI. And he's totally sweet on Caesar. Those two were so HOT together!! The things they found themselves doing while hiding out in other people's homes...
I really liked all the secondary characters. The plot was a little silly, but I was so into the story it didn't bother me at all. And I did not figure out the mystery until it was revealed. Even that scene was hilarious.
It's been a long time since I laughed this much reading a book. Every few minutes I found myself laughing out loud. The pace was fast with no lag between scenes. I had trouble tearing myself away from it.

I can't wait to read the second book ASAP!

Great review! I knew you'd love this one.
This is the kind of book I love. It was fun to read
She really manages to walk a fine line. The story gets silly, but she never manages to cross over into eye-rolling territory (at least IMO). It's hard to be that spastic without being annoying! LOL But she managed it!My only complaint was not getting inside Dan's head. I loved the next one too. I think I had downloaded it minutes after reading the first.

Yeah, and I love how he treats Caesar. Even when Caesar is being frumpy Dan's so nonchalant about it all. He just let's him have his snit or ends up turning him on in the middle of it

OMG, I finished the first one yesterday and started the second and I'M LOVING IT...so funny...I was practically giddy with glee remembering my own times living in NYC...I love Ce...and his Italian family.

UK, you should at least try itLaura, I fell asleep after that scene. Oh, but it was nice! I love Dan. And I could stop laughing when Shep told his assistant "are you retarded. You just saw them make out" I love how comfortable he is with his sexuality
